History

Established in 1999.

DeRisio Construction Inc. was originally established in 1999 as Nick DeRisio’s Custom Carpentry. What started as a hobby between Nick and his finish carpenter grandfather, Dominic DeRisio, emerged into a small carpentry business that completed mostly interior trim work, such as custom cabinetry, kitchen remodeling, and custom decks. After a few years in business, earning two college degrees in Construction Science, and invaluable business guidance from his father David and grandfather Rocco, Nick re-​named the business DeRisio Construction Inc. to reflect a more extensive service offering. DeRisio Construction now provides a wide range of residential and commercial services in the greater Rochester, New York area, with an emphasis on kitchen, bathroom and basement remodeling. Other services include windows, doors, hardscaping, additions, and general improvements.

My passion for custom home improvement projects started at a very young age. As a child, I spent many years working alongside my grandfather, Dominic DeRisio, a finish carpenter in his wood shop. While this started out as a pastime between myself and my grandfather, this work quickly evolved into my first professional home improvement business– Nick DeRisio Custom Carpentry. Since the company’s inception in 1999, I have continued to grow my business to offer my clients the highest quality home improvements at affordable prices. My hands-​on approach creates an environment where I have been able to work side-​by-​side with the staff to grow into a full service construction company. DeRisio Construction is proud to offer a wide range of home improvement services – which continues to grow to this day.
