Texas Star Wash & Detail

Wow! First time here, and a lovely couple is simply going all out in deep cleaning the interior of my SUV. I am in awe at their dedication, they are really working so hard and bless them for it. Above and beyond your typical car wash, this place has heart, soul, spirit, and more, and my SUV is looking amazing.

This car wash is the best in the Bay Area and it is because of the owners Phil and his wife Tammy.
First, even though the building has been there a while, the the machinery is basically brand new. The wash tunnel gets the car cleaner than anywhere else I’ve gone in the area and really anywhere else I’ve been in Houston. The trouble spots that might cause problems are pre-​cleaned very well, and Phil obviously puts in a great effort keeping the automated system running great. It also feels like the wash tunnel is not pummeling the car like some other systems do. I feel fine taking my car there once a week or more when the weather is crummy.
Second, the owners are right there working with all the employees and that dedicated oversight really shows. The service here from everyone is top notch. You never see people standing around waiting for instructions, if a car is in line, or waiting to get hand dried everyone is busy getting stuff done.
And that leads me to the third thing, they are super fast. If I go here M-​Th, I rarely have to wait for longer than one other car to go through the wash, and afterwards it takes less than a few mins to get a thorough dry that I know won’t have missed a spot. It’s kind of like that commercial where they say it’s not how fast you go, it’s about how well you go fast, and these guys do it very well. On Friday — Sunday, I’ve been in a line as long as 4 – 5 cars and I’d say it’s about 4Xs as fast as the old place I went, for a total of about 15 mins from first pull up to drive out on road, and I think that’s great. I’m used to a 1 hour wait time on the weekends at most full service places.
Forth, picking the cheapest place around is usually a great way to get disappointed, but this place has a lot of value for how little they change. I think the basic wash is $ 5, (that’s a better cost and results than gas station washing machines and much cheaper than any other human staffed places around), so that’s great for how good it looks after and having free access to unlimited self vacuums. The added washes and waxes are also good value, my personal favorite is getting an exterior monthly subscription where you can just go whenever the car looks a little dirty, and you can upgrade the wash whenever you want for a few bucks so they will do the inside as well.
Why are you still reading this review, If you’ve read all the way to the bottom of this, you could have been done with your car wash and going along your way, head over there and get your car washed!
Like I said, this place is the best car wash around, and I doubt you’ll be disappointed if you use them.

Top notch service! Owner and staff are super nice, they are so accommodating and honest! Brought my car in for a wash and wax and they were able to fit me in! They manager saw that I had my 5 year old with me and was so kind to bring out a little table, chair, coloring books & crayons! To me, in my opinion that’s going above and beyond! Very kind & reasonable pricing! We will be back.

Got my new /​used minivan detailed here. Phil, the owner, and his wife were super friendly and very helpful. His crew did a great job. Overall I had a great experience there. I especially like the personal service that the owners give. It really is nice to not be treated like just a number. I totally recommend this place. Go here! You will not be disappointed.

This was my first visit to Texas Star Wash & Detail, and I will be back! I purchased the Texas Star Complete wash and detail package, and I was very happy with the outcome. I forgot to remove items from my console, and when I got my vehicle back, I found those items placed neatly in a plastic bag in the front seat, which let me know that they had taken the time to clean even in often overlooked places. I witnessed the owners personally working on my vehicle, and one of the owners was the first employee I spoke with. It took approximately two and a half hours for my vehicle to be finished, but in my opinion it was warranted with how much they did. The waiting area was comfortable, and had free wifi access for customers.

Great people and quick wash! They always do a great job! The prices are affordable and they always seem to pay attention to detail.

I legitimately won’t go anywhere else! The staff were incredibly nice and informative. My car left looking brand new. They even got rid of an unsightly old stain. I would certainly recommend this car wash!

This place is amazing! This was my first time here. My sister and I both needed our cars wash and detailed. The owners were really nice and greeted both of us (each in our own car) he smiled and explained the difference with each of the wash. We both got the beautify which was only $ 22 and OMG am I glad that we went here!!! They got every little cracks and corners, hair and all!!! I will be coming back tomorrow for the second car to get washed and detailed.
Also they have a 2 day rain out policy that they’ll give you a free wash as long as you keep your receipt!

This carwash went above and beyond! I came in for car upholstery cleaning. The owner greeted me and assured me tab the stains would be taken care of. He also said that if they reappeared to bring the car back in for a free second clean. Phil (owner) saw to that my seats were clean and even helped with the job!!!

I take my truck to car washes frequently when I travel. All the bug juices can really ruin a paint job on any vehicle. With the price of vehicles now, any little maintenance goes a long way in preserving those cost. I’m live in MS now and I am visiting a relative and brought my truck to this place. I received the full car wash and interior detailing. They did an exceptional job on the interior and mostly a 4 out of 5 stars doing the exterior. Some of the bug proteins needed a little more elbow grease on the front chrome grill and there were till some specs that I wasn’t satified with. Other than that I would recommend this place to anyone. Anyone who isn’t as anal as I can be sometimes.

My first visit was amazing but I went back this past weekend and really could’ve sent it back. Not impressed and let down.

I was previously going to another car wash when I found this one on Unilocal.Just like the previous reviews stated the owner, Phil, is very personable and is an active part of his business. I was greeted, thoroughly explained what the options were for a carwash. The folks did a great job of washing and detailing my car. I had some leftover tree sap that remained on my windshield and on the hood of my car. Phil took the time out to use a special cleaner which removed the tree sap. This car wash has won my business. I highly recommend them.

5 Stars! Phil and his guys did an excellent job cleaning my Dodge truck. It was filthy when I took it to them. They made it look like new. They cleaned and shined the exterior, removed stains from the interior, and even made the engine compartment look great. They did everything in a minimal amount of time considering all the work that needed to be done. Phil even gave me a free ride to my house while they cleaned my truck, and he came to pick me up when they were done. I would definitely recommend usingTexas Star!

Great service, very professional and priced right. This is a mom and pop type place that pays attention to details. I was in and out in 30 minutes and was very happy with the results. They have a 48 hour rain policy as well where you are entitled to a free wash. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

It just so happens I had 2 vehicles to take to get washed today. The first stop with my truck went to another car wash. I paid $ 4 more and had to wait much longer.
This place is a hidden gem… literally. It does not show up on google maps and it is kinda hidden with a small sign. So head to the Putt Putt place and avoid the draw to go in and play miniature golf with screaming children, and head next door to the car wash.
The prices are pretty awesome. I got the $ 22 service, which I think was the 3^rd of 5 options. each getting more stuff done. The machine wash cleaned it very well and one would not even need detailing done after that, but alas I decided to get that anyway. The detailing was done extremely quick and was done well before I expected it. The staff was ultrafast and the truck actually turned out better than the one I had done elsewhere.

I have been to alot of car washes, all I can say is wow. The service here is amazing, the attention to detail is unparalleled. This is what all car washes should be like. They really take the time to make sure the vehicle is clean and ready to go. The car was vacuumed well, interior cleaned well, and all the windows cleaned inside and out. They have a great team who takes pride in their work will definitely be coming back.

After being disappointed with car washes in Friendswood I decided to try this one due to positive Unilocal reviews. It was true the owners are working side by side with their employees. you can tell everyone is ready to work. I spoke with Phill and Tammy the owners and they are so friendly. Now the car wash drive thru was the slowest I have ever been thru. This is good since it will scrub that vehicle even better. The guys that did the interior were awesome. They left my 2002 truck looking like never before. The waiting room is very clean. Use the massage chair for a dollar. I highly recommend this place for its work and owners for being friendly to its customers. I paid $ 22 for a good interior and exterior wash and detail..

1^st off I love when management/​owners of a business Establishment greet & assist. The owner Phil is a very personable gentleman that goes above & beyond to take care of his customers. They always do a very good job on all my vehicles. They have car wash deals starting at $ 5 & up.
Compared to other car washes in the area they are the most reasonable. Addition to that they have a nice waiting area while you wait with a window view of your vehicle. Inside area has a massage chair for $ 1, relax seating & vending machines
