Some of the best donuts in Saint Charles! They also have great breakfast food. It’s family owned and has a family feel to it.

Everything here is fantastic. From the maple bacon donuts, to the fresh made gyros. My absolute favorite order here is the biscuits and gravy with hash browns. The food always comes quickly. Food is at a great price.

Went to Mario’s in search of cake donuts and found oh so much more. Yum! Yes, the place is run down, but it’s clean, prices are decent and the food is great. Who would have thought falafels, Philly’s and fritters would mix so well!

Didn’t like it ate there the first time and wasn’t happy and decided to give it another chance I didn’t like the quality of the meat especially with the gyro you can tell it’s pre-prepared and frozen the taziki sauce was good but the lettuce was old and brown the burger was the same way the meat tasted old and frozen I was very disappointed because I wanted to like this place hopefully they revise their menu and use better ingredients

Yum! Stopped by and picked up a mixed dozen to go, also a Costa Rican clementine drink. I loved both! The regular donuts were nice and light and fluffy. I really liked the chocolate crueller ! The cake donuts and fried croissant my sister and law reported were excellent. I also would like to go back and try some of the lunch and breakfast options looked great. Super friendly staff. Will be back ! Drink and dozen donuts $ 10.75 !

My favorite breakfast & lunch place! The donuts are delicious, my favorite is the blueberry, chocolate, and cinnamon rolls. I will recommend the chicken gyros and falafel sandwich until the day I die, and the greek salad is a HUGE portion– enough to fill you up– yes, even a salad. Best fries ever. I come here 2 – 3 times a week as it is close to my school, and never disappoints :)

Some of the best donuts around. Always a crowd favorite. Fresh and hot with a helpful staff behind the counter. You can’t go wrong here

Great food first of all. You could tell everything was fresh, quality ingredients and cooked very well. I split something with my mom and they put it on two plates for us, very friendly service and went the extra mile. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the set up/design. The place just looks outdated and has no flow to it. I think they should go more«café-ish» and make the place nicer where I could have a breakfast meeting or bring my laptop and do some work. Other than that thought its a great eatery and I definitely recommend the food and the service.

A star If that. It was bad! Donuts weren’t good. My 10 yr old said they were gross long johns. Mom I Iove QT and shop n save donuts there the best. We had omelets with egg whites paper thin hardly any toppings inside a Western and Philly Steak with hash browns that were a rock. You can make your own food at home way better. Sad when your trying to go out and enjoy a meal as a family. Best place for bfast is Cappuccinos in Ofallon, MO. Mario’s is almost as bad as Golden Corral. That’s not saying much. So Sad :(Don’t waste your money!!! Hope this helped!

I really wanted to like this place, but I simply felt the food quality didn’t match the rave reviews. I had the gyro, and while everything tasted fresh and hot, The meat quality itself was poor and tasted more like a sausage then lamb and beef. It was also obvious that they cooked the meat on a grill, rather than the traditional shaving method. I give three stars for friendly staff, good portions, and a generally good environment. For five stars, I would need to see higher quality meat.

Love this place for breakfast! Their donuts are amazing… Our favorites are the chocolate long johns, blueberry & the old fashion donut. The breakfast sandwiches are also tasty. The prices are also very reasonable! I highly recommend!

Summary of the joint: best gyros in town and some darn good donuts too! The prices are very affordable. I accidentally discovered Mario’s café after I had the hankering for Chinese food and I didn’t get great service from the restaurant next door. I peeked inside and it looked like a great restaurant. The gyro was packed full of gyro meat, tzatziki sauce, and lots of lettuce, onion and tomatoe. And their fries were tasty as well, very nice and crispy! I very much recommend you try their cheese on the fries. You can also lounge on their big comfy booths and cruise on the Wi-Fi. Its a place that is definitely recommended and I will come back in the future!

So… I was a if fan of this place. Decent food, quick service and it’s cheap. But the owner is an absolute jerk. First of all they charged me extra, second of all they didn’t give us our complete order. Then when I asked she got mad and started yelling and asking for my receipt. I told her that I threw it away once I placed the order, she made me dig it out of the trash and show her what we had ordered. That’s when I realized I got charged for an extra meal and2 extra donuts. I’m not going back and have told my entire family not to go and we haven’t since. We are loyal friendly customers this restaurant lost and it’s a shame

Not expecting much when we entered. It’s a doughnut shop. But ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a side Greek salad, wife has a veggie wrap, daughter had a chicken Philly. Everyone was like these are good. Got a chocolate long John cut into pieces for desert. If you want a good sandwich or salad skip the fast food spots and go here.

Pretty darn good! I had a gyros, the wife had a Philly cheesesteak and kid 2 went for a burger with feta & grilled onions. Here are some random musings on the food: Gyros…not a traditional carved gyros but still pretty dang good. Four large slices of gyro meat on a soft pita with your choice of cucumber sauce(I can’t begin to spell it but I can actually pronounce the Greek name), lettuce(pass), tomatoes, onions and feta cheese. Two quick notes… identifiable pieces of cucumber in the sauce was a big plus and the fact that the sauce and feta combined to make something similar to a whipped cream cheese consistency which added an amazing depth of flavor to the sandwich. The Philly… way too salty for my taste but the wife loved it. Big pieces of fungus mixed in with nicely grilled and chopped meat. The burger… no idea how it tasted but my «I’m not very hungry» 5 foot, 85-pound 12 year old daughter ate the whole damn thing! It was a half-pound burger with a pile of feta and another pile of grilled onions on a nicely-sized bun and the little thing ate it all… plus a half-plate of fries. I swear — we really do feed the kid regularly! The fries… crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The wife will crave these randomly. I had onion rings with my gyros but decided after the first one that I would rather save the room for a small donut instead of eating more. It was a pretty good decision. As odd as it may seem that you can get all of these different types of food in the same place they did a good job with each offering. Next time I’m going to try an apple fritter. They looked amazing but I just didn’t have enough room.

I had the feta burger. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. Hot, juicy, made to order, the gyro sauce was awesome! The place was clean, quite and friendly. The only demerit is no wi-fi. I survived. Definitely give it a try.

A simple place with a nice menu, very good food and great prices. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant(you get a choice), a grilled cheese and some baklava. The sandwiches were excellent and the bacon was perfect. I have yet to eat the baklava but it was a huge piece and looked really good. Excellent and friendly service. Try them out.
