Midwest Research Group, a subsidiary or St. Charles Psychiatric Associates, helps develop new tools for the treatment of a wide variety of mental health conditions. Midwest Research Group conducts research studies that provide valuable information to evaluate how new medications may help a variety of people including children, adolescents and adults. Some studies see how medications used for one symptom may also help other symptoms. Examples include: medication used to stabilize moods may also help memory in Alzheimer’s patients or a medication that is used to treat ADHD may benefit Autism symptoms; or a once daily pill may be more effective if given through a monthly injection. The research studies conducted at Midwest Research Group are typically part of worldwide studies to help determine the best treatment options for people with a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and various types of dementia including Alzheimer’s disease.

Meet the Business Owner

Greg Mattingly, MD.

Business Owner

Dr. Mattingly is a physician and principal investigator in clinical trials for Midwest Research Group. He is also a founding partner at St. Charles Psychiatric Associates where he treats children, adolescents and adults. A St Louis native, he earned his medical degree and received a Fulbright scholarship while attending Washington University. Dr. Mattingly is board certified in adult and adolescent psychiatry and is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at Washington University where he teaches psychopharmacology courses for the 3rd year medical students. Dr. Mattingly has participated in over 130 clinical trials focusing on ADHD, anxiety disorders, major depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Dr. Mattingly has been a part of numerous national and international advisory panels and received awards and distinctions for clinical leadership and neuroscience.
