Balsamroot Bakery & Café specializes in delicious, flavorful, scratch made whole foods and baked goods handcrafted from ingredients of exceptional quality and nutritional value.
We prepare country and rustic breads, classic European and American cakes as well as originals, and pastries in small, hand-formed batches. Our baking includes use of many types of flours. We use local, whole grain organic wheat and rye flours, or various organic flours and starches for our gluten-free baking.
Our breakfast and lunch offerings showcase our bakery products, and also include gluten-free and vegetarian offerings. We source local and regional produce, grains, legumes, cheeses, and meats. Our food is made with organically and/or ecologically grown/raised, non-gmo ingredients.
History
Established in 2014.
Balsamroot began as a special order, custom baking company in December 2014, sharing Lulu’s Kitchen in East Wenatchee. In March 2015, we announced our plan to open a bakery & café in Wenatchee’s Columbia Station. The bakery & café opened in August 2015.
