History

Established in 1991.

Link Transit has been providing service since December 1991. We carry over 3000 people each day Monday through Friday, and about 1000 a day on Saturdays.

I’ve been riding Link for almost 8 years and I’m really impressed with the bus service. The drivers are very professional and the buses are always clean. Sure, they don’t run very late but it’s understandable; not much of a night life around here anyway. Very convenient for school or work commute. I highly recommend it.

Service is limited, but it’s a great ride. The buses are comfortable and on time and it’s only $ 1! They recently polled my office to find out how to improve their schedules for us, despite dealing with budget cuts.
They also provide free overnight parking at the station for those riding Amtrak or Greyhound. It’s very safe and convenient and the permit process is always smooth and friendly.

Don’t know many people who ride the bus here… I think the problem is that people in this town are too lazy to ditch their cars, so ridership is low and thus they keep their services very limited in order to keep costs down.
The fares are reasonable and the buses are nice and modern. We had a pleasant Saturday morning ride up to Leavenworth… unfortunately, we stayed past 6:00 and had to get a ride home with friends because the buses had stopped running.
They have a nice network of routes… it’s less convenient in town, but quite useful that they have routes up to towns like Chelan, Entiat, and Waterville.
