Specialties

At The Thai we specialize in authentic Bangkok cuisine. Our dishes are prepared fresh to order and can be customized to fit most dining needs and desires.

Our cooking does not include MSG and we only use fresh vegetables and the highest quality ingredients in our family’s recipes.

Our large building can seat 100+ guests and includes a private banquet room that has a capacity of 20+. Catering options and delivery are available for large orders and are a great choice for lunches, office parties, weddings, etc.

We offer a full bar and an extensive wine list highlighting local Washington wines.

History

Established in 1991.

Here at The Thai we have proudly been serving authentic Bangkok-​style Thai cuisine to the Wenatchee Valley since 1991. Our restaurant is family-​owned and operated and as such we welcome you and your family to enjoy your dining experience with us.

Along with some Thai classics, our menu boasts a handful of original and unique dishes created and perfected over the years by our mom, Suwanna. Now, Chef Top and his energetic team are proud to be able to craft some fresh, new dishes as well as the beloved classics for you.

Since the day we opened we have strived for quality and consistency and we have lived by the same mantra for over 20 years. Our freshly prepared dishes are highlighted by ingredients imported from Thailand and can be cooked to suit a variety of diets including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-​free diets. Whether you like it spicy hot or not, you are bound to find a favorite.

I grew up in the Wenatchee Valley and it is a pleasure to be able to work at my family’s restaurant. I am the front of house manager here at The Thai and also manage our website.

After graduating from Wenatchee High in 2008, and the University of Washington in 2012, I am thrilled to return to my beautiful hometown to serve the people that have supported me an my family for over two decades.

I would be honored to serve you and hope that you enjoy your meal at The Thai Restaurant.

Super friendly staff. Food was ok. The pad Thai noodles were more like spaghetti than the usual but taste was ok. Missing the land of plenty in Seattle but this was ok. Love that the spring rolls don’t have meat and they tasted fresh.

Great food, great service. I eat here whenever I’m in town. Probably the best Thai restaurant east of the Cascades. Spring rolls are crunchy and fresh. Curries are sharp with great aroma and fresh flavors. Try the Panang curry, you won’t be disappointed. Have Carl make you a Thai lemon drop or sample the Thai Boxer Blonde beer.

3 stars for the incredible service and cleanliness. Very attentive and courteous staff. The restaurant was spacious and clean. The food however was underwhelming. Very watery bland curry, the chicken was overcooked and dry, and the vegetables were undercooked. The potatoes especially were very hard, almost raw. Curry should be served with very soft vegetables that have been simmered and slow cooked in the sauce. This was an obvious stir fry with curry sauce added on top. Best part was the brown rice. Dissapointing.

Best Thai in Wenatchee! Don’t bother going anywhere else if you are craving flavorful fresh tasting Thai. Pad Thai perfect. Not over sauced, Thai basil rice has great flavor and crisp veggies. Yum!

The food is delicious and the staff is courteous. The Thai fried rice, spicy fried rice, pad Thai and spring rolls are my favorites, but anything you order is going to be great. Whether you choose to dine in or take out, you’re going to have a great meal.

This is an «OK» place, but not terrific. The standout was the courteous staff. Well done in that regard. Portions are average, and mostly, the food just isn’t that flavorful. I think if you’ve experienced good Thai food elsewhere, this is a bit weak, but appreciate the effort. Keep trying.

This place was amazing. I went for my first time last night with my fiancé for his birthday dinner. I was skeptical at first (as I always am with thai food) but I was in heaven! Although there was only one server he did an amazing job serving everyone and was extremely nice and considerate. The food was to die for! I had the Param (? Not quite sure how they spelled it) and my fiancé had the pad thai. I also got one of their alcoholic Thai teas (this drink was SO good I highly recommend it). The food was delicious they got our spiciness levels spot on.

The food was so yummy. We had chicken with mint and garlic and pepper with chicken. Again, yummy! The place is very clean. The waitress was nice but could have been more attentive.

I recently visited the Thai while my wife and I were staying in town to visit Leavenworth. I got the chicken pad Thai and it was perfect. I only got one star worth of spice because I am a big baby but the light clean flavor was perfect for me.
My wife got the pad kee Mao and she got 3 stars. I didn’t try it myself but my wife said it was great. Our waiter was very quick and friendly the entire time. We didn’t have much of a wait and the ambiance in the restaurant was very nice.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone that is looking for great Thai food and we will definitely be back again during our next trip.

I’m a rice expert. If you are a rice lover as me than you definitely must come to this place and try their Fried Rice and tell them to be a bit spicy, I usually ask them to be medium but u could ask them to be even more spicier if you are a spicy person as well. This place also serves spicy, Really spicy dishes. So try them or ask them for it. They are really nice and the place is very clean. Is one of the most reward given by the Wenatchee World Newspaper.

Traveling through and scored the beef phad thai. 3 star spice was weak. Three stars should be hot! Reserving 4 stars for those who want to taste heat not food. All the right pieces were there to the dish except the most important: FLAVOR. Outrageously bland.
Oh and a 30 min wait for phad thai? I was told they were busy but only 5 tables in the whole place taken. If that’s busy how do they get food out when the place is full?
Room for improvement, at least with my limited experience.

This was my third time at The Thai Restaurant but the first time we had take-​out (maybe that was the issue…) We ordered the teriyaki chicken and «vegetables» and the pineapple fried rice. We got exactly 4 broccoli pieces and 4 carrot slices that were overlooked and soft :(
The chicken was chewy in texture and bland.
The pineapple fried rice was decent.

The portions were skimpy, mostly rice and the curry tasted watered down compared to any other curry I have ever had.
I regret wasting my money and time with this restaurant.

go to Mai Lee Thai in East Wenatchee I have been there dozens of times without dissapointment.

Came in again to try out the Thai chicken teriyaki. Last time the beef teriyaki was tough but flavorful and I wanted to give them another try.
My wife’s order of green curry chicken came out beautifully. Nice presentation and very aromatic. She enjoyed it although it was a bit too spicy for her but that’s Thai food in general.
The chicken teriyaki was good, the chicken was sliced Thai style, not as you would find it in a traditional Japanese teriyaki. As a result, the texture and consistency was a little different and I found it to be a bit chewy.
The white rice was delicious, light and fluffy, and tasted great with the teriyaki sauce. The side of broccoli and carrots were crispy but properly cooked.
Overall, I would say that after two visits we will make The Thai one of our regular stops.

Have eaten here for years and this was the most disappointing experience I have had. Though there were only 4 other parties present, service was slow (always has been) and waitstaff was harried, distracted, polite but not friendly. Previously they had two female staff who were gracious and friendly and the experience was noticeably better.
My Thai fried rice dish was adequate; my wife said her dish was tasty but did not have enough food, so that was unfortunate.
Best for a business lunch as it is quiet with a decent décor, so the long wait is less noticeable since you have something to do. Cannot recommend it to families with small children as the wait with nothing for them to do is painful. Prefer the ambiance here but Mai Lee Thai has marginally better food and service is faster.

Big fan. Their spicy shrimp soup, chicken pad mee, phad thai, and their fried rice are some of my favorite dishes. Delicious spring rolls as well and decadent handmade cheesecake, only offered some nights of the week. Wonderful friendly service and good prices as well as amazing food.

A couple reviews said it was bland. I totally agree. Another review said there were canned veggies… I’m not sure they were canned they seemed more like frozen, but at any rate they were definately not fresh and we were unimpressed. They didn’t have an option of brown rice which was a slight bummer. We pulled a serious rookie move and during ordering she didn’t ask us how many stars and we didn’t catch it. Food came out with no spices. We normally order 4 or 5 stars… sometimes 6/5…so food was really boring.
Nice staff, big and open and plenty of room, and quick food were the highlights.
I will admit, I moved here from Seattle and the thai was amazing. I’d be willing to try it again with high hopes of it being better. In the event that its better… Ill give it a new review. Im bobbling between 2 stars and three…2 just seems so mean. I’d call it a middle of the road thai restaurant thats doing a good job at also catering to people that arent really exposed to that much asian cuisine.
