Batteries Plus Bulbs

I love this chain! Great sales people. They always have what I need. They very professional and they’re very fast. Add to that they are very economical. I can’t recommend this chain highly enough! Tim at the store who just waited on me was fantastic!

I think there’s some unfair and incoherent reviews on here, first of all (talkin about you, Erin B). Batteries Plus will do installations, yes, but they’re not auto mechanics.
I’ve come here for a lot of things and always had great service. The fact that they can repair/​replace smashed phone screens (which replaces more than just the glass, for what it’s worth) and have them working like new again for sometimes less than the price of a new phone is amazing. That saved my ass from going to Verizon to fork over another few pounds of flesh.
Their car battery installation is really handy, but your battery compartment has to be in an easily accessible location. If it’s someplace weird like under a seat (as it is in my father’s SUV), they don’t have a lift or the equipment required to get at that area so you have to take it to the dealer or another auto shop, sorry folks.
For «normal» cars, the battery is generally under the hood and that’s no problem. These guys are so cool, they even offered to fix up my husband’s car hood when it wasn’t latching right. All it took was some WD-​40, which they happily produced, applied, and worked with the latch until it was functioning properly. No charge! Just nice service.
Yes, batteries are expensive. But it’s pretty impressive the range of stuff you can get here. Laptop running hot and slow? New battery for less than a new laptop!
Super convenient location too, even if the parking lot is kind of a tough one.

Came in to see if my Car Fob batteries needed replacement.
The store was empty, but shortly after I walked in, someone from the backroom came out and asked if I needed and help.
He was very upfront, told me he could test the batteries if they were low and how much it would cost.
Took my keys in back and checked them, and 5 minutes later walked back out and said they were low and he installed the new batteries for me.
Quick and painless — about $ 9 each fob.

Batteries Plus has definitely been a place for me when in a jam. I really like that you can purchase a battery and it is already charged and ready to go. This comes in handy when the motorcycle or scooter batteries die and you don’t have to wait to charge them up to ride.
Currently under remodeling so not the best place to visit at the present time, their stock is in storage units in the back and there is pretty much nothing in the store.
Generally it is filled with any battery you need and all kinds of cool gadgets.
Service — hit or miss. In the past I have had great service, extremely helpful. Currently, not so much. The two women who were there the last time I was in seemed to hate their jobs because they were just not friendly or polite to anyone they helped and the services was so sloooooow.
Let’s hope when they remodel, the hire new staff. I will continue to go when needed, which isn’t often because it is convenient and they will probably have what I need.
FYI — after the remodel they will carry all kinds of light bulbs now. Not sure how that goes together but all power to them.

We purchased a car battery here that should have lasted at least 5 years, due to the location of the battery (under the backseat of an SUV) it had be installed at the dealership to a cost of $ 150. Two months later we need a new battery and all Batteries Plus will do about it replace the original battery. So we get to spend another $ 150 to have it installed again and hope we don’t have the same issue in 2 months. Clearly not worth the original $ 50 we saved by buying the battery through them. Never again.
