Good selection of guns, friendly service(WAY better than the«how dare you ask me a question, stupid person» attitude at the Shooter’s Shop), staff that will take time to make sure you know what you are getting and that it’s right for you. Also they don’t treat women like second class citizens, unfortunately a common problem at other gun shops. Better pricing than Gander/Cabelas and willing to order if they don’t have what you want in stock. Be prepared to wait around a bit if you get there when it’s real busy, but it’s worth it. A good(woman) friend took the Concealed Carry class there and recommends it.

Great place to get your next firearm or holster. I have gotten a few guns and holsters there and the service has been top shelf!

I went to Shorty’s the day President Obama spoke about his plan for a crack down on guns, figuring that I’d beat the rush and maybe be able to pick up something before everything was gone… that didn’t happen. Shorty’s has a very large selection of firearms, much larger than Badger/Brew City, and has a few older gentlemen working behind the counter who are very willing to chat with you about anything you’re looking at. They really want to make sure their buyers are informed and comfortable before making the purchase, which isn’t like most firearm merchants. I also saw Shorty do some guy a big favor, basically hold a rifle for him a few days until he got paid rather than selling it – which he easily could have done, so that’s a plus in my book. I’m looking forward to going back just to see what Shorty has in stock. Oh yea, before I left that day, I did pick up a couple 33-round magazines for my Glock. I figured if I waited until tomorrow, they’d be gone… and I was right, glad I bought when I did. Thanks Shorty! I’m a fan.
