Total Auto Repair

Brought my car in after my check engine light came on. They quoted me at a lower price than they charged because they didn’t include their «diagnostic fee» even though over the phone they told me that it wouldn’t cost anything for them to look at my car because it’s easy. I wouldn’t be so upset if they actually fixed the problem. My check engine light came back on a few days later. I called them and they said if I bring it back they will do a proper diagnosis and actually drive my car to understand the issue not just hook it up to the machine to get the check engine code that I could have done myself for free at Auto Zone. They should have done that in the first place. Now I’m out $ 264 because they replaced my crankshaft position sensor when it didn’t need to be replaced. I didn’t even get an apology or discount offer. It’s so hard to find honest ethical mechanics. I just want my car fixed at a fair price.

Total Auto Repair did a great job getting my car in quickly, diagnosing the issues (previously diagnosed & quoted a much higher price at my dealership for this work), and worked with my schedule constraints to complete the work. They met there estimate exactly and communicated frequently without me having to call and check in. Greatly appreciate the work of Tom and will be bringing my car there from now on.

i wish i could give this 10 stars… after hitting a pothole and car wheel having scraping sound babdly. i took it here, upon inspection he told me older cars have brake guard on wheels and mine being rusty broke on pothole impact and i didnt need it, so he took it off and car is back to normal… cost…no charge… you dont see this kind of service any more… love this place… will be back

Look at my review that was listed as not recommended. I must have forgot to put a «star» rating on it. Unilocal needs to fix this problem. I highly recommend this garage after having been to several others in the area

I had been looking for a convenient Auto repair location in close proximity to my home, oh and a mechanic who I trust. I haven’t found one of those, but hopefully now I have. First of all, I liked that it was brought to my attention that some maintainence was needed, with estimates;they have competitive prices. Adam was accommodating, as I only had one day off and called last minute and to complicate things even further, I needed my car at a certain time. Adam was pleasant & personable throughout. I got my car back when needed~ He even fixed a rattle that I didn’t expect him to take care of. I would highly recommend Total Auto Repair!

I heard about these guys via word of mouth and decided it give them a try! I went in for an oil change on my hybrid and was pleasantly surprised by the speedy service and fair pricing (better than chain oil change places). That earned my repeat business.
When I brought my car in a month later because my front wheel was making a rubbing noise on left turns, they earned my trust. I thought it might be a major brake job or something (I know nothing about cars), but turned out to be just a bent piece of the wheel well. They quickly popped it back in place and secured it, good as new, no charge.
Nice to know there are quality independent repair places like this in the metro area. The type that earn your business, treat you fairly, and trust you’ll be back. I will be!

These guys are very honest and took the time to explain everything that was going on with my car. I will definitely be back for any other issues because the price is reasonable. I have just found my new mechanic!!!
