Old Fashioned Ice Cream

Pretty good ice cream — very creamy. Place is old fashioned all right maybe even to the point where it looks a bit run down. Area it’s in is a bit sketchy too.

Best ice cream anywhere. Fortunate to have this in our town Have been going there forever. Love their chocolate Sunday’s and soft serve

This is the best ice cream place hands down I have been coming here for 10 years and the ice cream the ice cream cakes are delicious they have everything even the almond bars prices are good and they not cheap with their portions they also will give you a taste of a flavor if your not sure this is my only ice cream place I go to

The pistachio soft serve is delicious! It isn’t too nutty and is perfectly rich and creamy just as soft serve should be.
The nice guy swirled my ice cream to max peak and the sugar cone paired classically.
And of course not to far from home

So many different inventive flavors. There always trying new things like their new cake sundae with cake cubes. Friendly quick service.

I like their milkshakes. This place reminds me of going to ice cream parlors from my childhood. Their ice cream isn’t too sweet and the staff are very nice and professional.

At a time when ice cream parlors are nonexistent and chains run rampant with astronomical prices, Old Fashioned remains delicious and well priced. They’ve been a staple in the area for over a decade and a heaping cone costs about $ 3.00, maybe even less! They offer ice cream pies and flying saucers as well as pre-​packaged ice cream sundaes. They have shakes and all ice cream is fresh!!!

Came here after a long day and it was delicious. I pigged out and got the ice cream cake sundae with pumpkin and chocolate ice cream. It was great but I couldn’t finish it, will definitely return.

I’m not a fan of sweets, but when the craving strikes I run, not walk, to Old Fashioned. Their ice cream is homemade and it tastes like it! It doesn’t have that generic, over produced kind of taste. My favorite is their coffee ice cream — yummmm! Their prices are reasonable and they’re willing to accommodate almost any request (my mother likes her ice cream flavors side-​by-​side and not on top of one another *rolls eyes*). I can appreciate that this is a mom & pop kind of shop & it doesn’t hurt that they’re only around the corner! I love this place and I can’t see it going anywhere, anytime soon!

Been my favorite ice cream parlor for more than 15yrs, and as a 3^rd generation Mr Softee driver my opinion on ice cream certainly ranks high. If you haven’t tried it, I suggest you make your way over for a taste

Excellent ice cream. I especially love their pumpkin or the egg nog flavored ice creams this time of year.

Their chocolate chip mint is AMAZING. Good costumer service and no lines. Parking and place is a little weird. It doesn’t look much like an ice cream place. A lot of variety to choose from!

I’ve been coming to this place since I was a kid! Over 20 years now! They have THE BEST MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP ICE CREAM I’VE EVER HAD!
They make their own. The best part is when you find a MASSIVE chocolate chunk the size of a golfball. Hands down, THE BEST PLACE FOR ICE CREAM IN NY!

The place is mostly open late nights which is great for late night cravings. I love the red velvet ice cream with crumbs on it (give it a try). Sadly the place looks so old and needs some Renovation.

Excellent! When I want yogurt, I go to «Yo Luv It» but when I want ice cream, I go to Old Fashioned.
This is a take out place… no tables or places to sit. We just buy the ice cream and eat it in the car so it’s no problem.
The ice cream is so fresh. It is the perfect consistency… perfect temperature. I always order the same thing: rocky road (it has whole mini-​marshmallows in it that I love) but I do always taste what everyone else gets (yeah, I’m annoying but I share mine too!) Everything I have tasted is excellent.
They also have banana «flying saucers» and pistachio «flying saucers» which are really good.
The staff is OK… not nasty but not overly friendly. Sufficient for a take-​out place. Prices are reasonable.
They have rules about the number of flavors you can get in each size bowl. Smallest size you can only get 1 flavor. Next size, 2 flavors and so on. They are strict about this.
Yum.

This place seriously has the best ice cream around and I’m surprised it doesn’t have more reviews. Staff is friendly and quick.
