History
Established in 2013.
Located at 315 N. Main St. our building has been a number of great restaurants over the years. Dick’s Pizza was originally housed here in 1962 before he moved next door until that building burned down. Hansen’s Steak House in 1964, Petri’s Supper Club in 1970, Schmidtselhaus called our building home beginning in 1976 with one of the best prime ribs in Washington county. Candlelite Inn moved in around 1984, then the Cachet Club in 1988. Most recently the building was home to Tasting Food & Spirits which closed in 2010.
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Where to begin… well with only 1000 characters to spare, make that 932, I sorta fell into the restaurant business by accident. I was a skier who was destined to own his own ski resort some day. The only problem with working in the ski resort business is that you become unemployed each year around March (when the snow melts). Many summer jobs over the years while I was waiting to start work again at the resort were in bars and restaurants. It was good money, flexible hours and fun.
After graduating college I accepted a manager job at restaurant that I had been bar tending at while finishing up my degree and the rest is history. I soon opened up a small wine bar + pizzeria in the heart of downtown Denver called Lala’s Wine Bar + Pizzeria. 5 years later, a dog, a cat, an amazing wife and an awesome little me (my son), West Bend tap + tavern was born.
Cheers,
Brian
