Aussie Pet Mobile West Bloomfield

Aussie pet mobile came to my home today and I’m very disappointed. I have a 11 ½ year old German shepherd and she has a hard time getting in my vehicle. She has elbow dysplasia (left) and hip problems so I have hard time taking her to the groomers, I stopped going late Nov 2014, my husband made stairs for her to get in to our suv a while back and she won’t go up, anymore, so I decided to call Aussie pet mobile. They advertised that they have a «15 step» luxurious groom for $ 65., which I’m not listing, it’s too long. Well, my ass! He didn’t do all the steps that they advertised. I know she’s old and she doesn’t like baths and getting her nails clipped, but when I was able to take her to the groomers they always did a wonderful job. The groomer at Aussie gave her a bath and a blow dry, but didn’t brush all her hair out and he didn’t even do her nails. Now I have to take her to get her nails clipped. That’s going to be a chore. I had to brush her myself today. She wasn’t too happy. I called to complain and they did say they could come back, but I said no because she was already stressed as it was. I Didn’t want to do that to her again today. They didn’t even offer to give me a discount for the services today,

I would rate them ZERO stars if I could!!! As another review stated, I am also VERY upset with Aussie Pet Mobile service and work ethic!!! I made my first appointment with them because I have three Yorkies who are getting older and are becoming increasingly intolerant of being taken to our regular groomer (Donna at Longview Boarding and Grooming in Troy, who happens to be AWESOME) because unfortunately they have to be there most of the day which they don’t do too well with, so I thought I would try using a mobile groomer – easy in and out for them and right here at our house. Less stress and hassle for everyone, so I thought!!!
I made the first appointment for a Saturday and right before they were due to show up that morning, I get a call from Karen saying the groomer called in sick. I understand these things happen sometimes. They were able to get another groomer to come the next day (on a Sunday). Everything was fine and was happy with the grooming that was done so we set up another appointment with the same groomer.
Forward ahead to next appointment, I get a call AGAIN from Karen an hour before they were supposed to show up for this appointment saying the groomer called in sick and this was not even the groomer we had the first time and thought we would have. Obviously, there is a pattern here of workers calling in sick! I told her this happened the last time (being the first time I’ve used them) and was this typical of the groomers to call in sick. She said it wasn’t and she would try to see if she could get another groomer. A half hour later she calls back and apologizes and says she doesn’t have anyone and could we push it to the next Saturday. Now granted, all three were already in dire need of being groomed! I said fine, but even if they could do something during the week, I would try to accommodate. She said she would call me if they could. I didn’t hear back so I assumed we were just on for Saturday (one should never assume!!).
Forward ahead to today, (the following Saturday)…they were supposed to be here at 9:30 a.m. and they are NO SHOWS! I called last night and left a message because I hadn’t received a confirmation and called again at 9:45 a.m. this morning to see where they were and had to leave another message. I told them how disappointed I was and how unprofessional they were. I’ve now wasted two Saturdays (and a Sunday!) not knowing what to expect from this company. I don’t expect to hear back.
As M. S. stated in their review, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY (they were also $ 100 MORE than my other groomer at Longview!!)!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND HORRIBLE FIRST IMPRESSION AND NOT A WAY TO DO BUSINESS! Recommendation to Karen – HAVE A SOLID BACK-​UP PLAN IF YOUR WORKERS CALL IN SICK! Obviously this is an issue for you!!!
I really wanted the convenience of a mobile groomer for the sake of my babies and this being my first experience is disheartening. I was willing to pay the extra money for making my babies feel more comfortable about the grooming experience. Now I have three unkempt Yorkies that are in dire need of being groomed and will have to take them back to stay all day at the former groomers – I love how she grooms them, but it’s so stressful for the dogs to be there all day. Clearly looking out for their best interest. Thanks for wasting MY time and making me put my babies back in an uncomfortable situation until I can find another mobile service that will be much more reliable and dependable than you are!!!

I effing LOVE my dogs. I love them more than any human. I love them more than food. I also love when they are well groomed. I’ve been using the highly convenient services of Aussie Pet Mobile for two years and I’ve had nothing but stellar service from them. Perfectly groomed puppies are always the result. I have black Poms, and I get them cut short like little Huskies. I’ve had other groomers in the past who couldn’t comprehend the idea that I do NOT want to ever see my children with a LION cut. Gag. Not the Aussie girls. They know what’s up. The fact that they keep my children on my property as opposed to me leaving them somewhere is a major bonus. The girls that do the grooming are always lovely and kindergarten teacherish. One of my dogs can be a bit of a jerk when it comes to grooming and they still manage to return him to me happy and pristine. Appointments are easy to book and the groomers are always punctual. The prices are the same as the vet and the brick and mortar shops so there is really no downside to this service. I strongly encourage you to try this company! My only complaint is a lack of choice when it comes to organic grooming products. I’d be happy to pay more for this.
