Lafata Cabinets

Watch out for the Lafata West Bloomfield salesperson to reel you in and leave you hanging! We decided to go with only cabinets vs. full service due to a 10K price difference and once the salesperson realized this, his friendliness turned into annoyance. After the cabinets were installed we had a couple of issues. At the time of ordering, they assure you to just call them and they can resolve any defects etc after delivery. I left many voice mails and sent many emails with no response. Even after speaking with a supervisor, there was very little interest in resolving any issues. Very poor customer service!

We decided to go with them for a complete overhaul of the kitchen on the advice of our decorator. They do have a good reputation. The planning and selection of the styles and colours was fine, Robert did a good job job in preparing the layout plans and discussed various options. The quality of the cabinet is top-​notch. We decided to have them do the installation and that’s where the problem started. Some pieces of the crown moulding had not been ordered. It was very hard to communicate with them and some of the tolerances (gaps) were not acceptable. The worst part is the attitude when I went to their showroom to have them correct their mistakes. Zero customer orientation, instead they were arrogant about it, blaming it on an uneven ceiling or giving me other excuses. At that price level, I expect to be treated better. Stay tuned, I’m waiting for them to fix the issue.
