Heat went out, called Jerns– 10 minute response time, finished in another 15! Great Service!

I had the usual«central air goes out in the middle of a heat wave.» So i called jerns, they said they could be here in the morning. Great I thought! Yeah right! What a joke. I called in the morning to confirm they would be here and she said he would. Well it’s 11:58 and still no one. I have 2 little kids that are having a hard time with the heat and its very frustrating. So i call them back and he tells me he has 2 calls ahead of me now, and then he will get there after that. What?! What happened to the morning? I told him I wasnt going to use him after all, and i cancelled. Called Brockway instead. They were friendly and he will be here in less than an hour! Thank you Brockway for all you’ve done for my family!!!

Towards the end summer a couple years ago, I hired Jern’s to repair a problem I had with my Central Air which was not draining properly and causing some ceiling damage(NOTE: Jern’s did not not install the original unit — I was just wanting to hire them to service my system). The repairman came out and determined that I needed a freon recharge. Then came the following Summer and I called to get status of fixing the draining problem. I called numerous times, left messages with the receptionist to have Mr. Jerns call me, but no one ever returned my calls. Later that night, we had water pouring down our wall and had to shut the AC off and this on one of the hottest nights of the summer. I called again and told the lady I was really in need of assistance and was considering purchasing a new unit if that’s what it would take. Again, no one bothered to call me back. At that point, I gave up with Jern’s. I called a company in Burlington(Brockway) and the guy was down that day. He looked at the situation and recommended we replace the entire unit. The drainage problem had caused the drip pan and parts of the evaporator to rust out. It was very old(from 1983) and showed us we could get a more efficient model and the the price was good. So, we decided to go with Brockway. They said they’d be able to install the unit the next day, which they did. I am so glad I decided to give up on Jerns and go with Brockway. I really tried to give Jern’s my business but it just seemed they were not at all interested. I would not recommend hiring Jerns for any HVAC work.
