History

Established in 1978.

It all began in 1978 when Don’s wife, Kay, claimed she would really like a swimming pool. Don was an employee of General Motors at the time and Kay was an ER nurse at Bethesda North. Don, the DIY guy he is, decided he could do this himself and proceeded to build his very first pool in their backyard. One pool turned into several for family and friends.

A few years later, General Motors closed the local plant and Don decided to turn his new «side job» into a company. Kay retired from nursing and Aqua-​Tech Pools opened a small retail store in downtown Mason, OH. In 1993, Aqua-​Tech Pools moved to West Chester and built a large retail store where they remain located today.

Joining Kay and Don in the company are son and daughter, Adam and Ashley. Adam began working at Aqua-​Tech as a teenager learning the ropes with his dad and helping the service crews. Over the years he has evolved into a leader taking more of a project management role with new pool construction. Most days you can find
