Finally found a salon that I enjoy going to. Everyone is professional and so sweet. Highly recommend Kara Larkin who hands down nails my color every time. She is amazing. She listens and will make sure you leave loving your hair. You can tell she is very well educated with coloring and hair in general which makes you feel more comfortable when making a decision. I think I am finally done searching for that perfect salon and stylist!

I went to Avante Salon as part of a bridal party, where we all got both our hair and make up done.
We loved our hair stylists. They were all friendly and engaging. Each girl had incredible looking hair that (mostly!) lasted throughout the day. I have A TON of hair, so I was so impressed at how quickly she was able to get it all up. It looked amazing… we all loved it!
However, not one person in our bridal party was satisfied with their make up (besides the bride). The woman who did mine, whose name I do not know, never spoke one word to me despite my efforts to communicate with her. I feel as if my foundation did not match my skin tone at all, and I looked terribly dark and splotchy. She used a stick eyeliner on one eye, and liquid liner on the other, so they did not match. My eyes were dark and sunken in… certainly not the look someone would want for a daytime wedding. When I tried to say something, I just heard, «it’s fine it’s fine!» For the $ 60, I was incredibly disappointed. I could have done my own make up MUCH better (and it would have actually lasted the night, unlike this!). This day was so important, and so well photographed, that I had hoped for better. I actually had people comment on how bad my complexion looked!!! This was a huge waste of money…$ 60 for a few minutes of your time for terrible make up? Woof.
With that said, the bride’s make up looked lovely. She was stunning and loved her experience here.

I absolutely love this place. I’ve had massages, waxing, makeup and cut/​color services in the past year and all have been amazing. I’ve been seeing Holly for a while now and my hair has never looked better. She completely transformed my hair from over processed/​dried out to completely healthy, all while dealing with my constant need for color and style changes. I highly recommend Holly if you need a new stylist — her attention to detail and perfection keeps me coming back for more.

I have long, naturally curly hair and am always reluctant to try a new stylist, but my hair needed shaping and Avante was close and had an opening so I gave it a try. Margery did a perfect job shaping my hair! I love it and will be a loyal customer of hers. I would recommend this salon to anyone needing a cut.

Jenny is a Brazilian master. I can’t tell you how quick and painless she makes the experience!

Avante is worth the trip into W. Chester. While I used to go there for just facials, now I go for all my salon and spa services. Sue gives an amazing facial. While I try to convince myself I go to make my skin look better, and it does when I leave, I love going because it is so relaxing. Avante facials include wonderful a head, neck, hand and foot massage. I leave stress free. I really enjoy nail services with Brooke. Manicures and pedicures are professional and long lasting. Brooke provides great customer service. My newest Avante find is Breanna for hair. While I do a pretty simple color, highlight, and cut, she still works to make it perfect every time. Without being pushy, she has made some great product recommendations for my frizzy hair and knowing I don’t like to spend time working on my hair in the morning.
Avante has some nice perks and loyalty programs like free products and gift cards.
Some services are costly compared to lower-​end salons, but everything I have had has been worth it.

I came in from out of town to see a friend and she scheduled a pamper me package for the both of us. The services rendered were great! However, when we went to pay for our services, things went horribly wrong. First we waited ten minutes for someone to help us so we could pay. Second, the girl at the counter must have left her brain at home that day. I asked for us to pay for our services separately and she gave me the combination price. Then asked again for her to separate it and she fumbled around for a while trying to figure out how to do it. She then charged my card a large amount and after the transaction went through said «oops I forgot to charge you tax.» She stumbled around for five more minutes trying to figure out how to charge me an additional $ 6.40. We eventually arrived at the consensus of charging my card again. I fear I have been overcharged and will have to fight with my credit card company due to the idiot at the counter. Please hire someone who knows basic math! I am very disappointed and luckily don’t live close enough to recommend no one going there again. Thumbs down due to incompetence.

Shelly is amazing! She has a natural talent! I love my hair every time she does it! She cuts it so nicely that it’s easy for me to style myself! I highly recommend her :)

This review is not based on having received service at the salon, I didn’t make it that far. I received a fantastic 50% Off «Invitation» in the mail from Avante. With an upcoming wedding, I was rather excited about the idea of testing their services for the first time through the use of one of their packages. Called the salon to confirm I could schedule and use the coupon on this only to be told they had no clue. They were kind enough to call me back the next day and advise me that the coupon is only good on ONE service. Coupon: «Please Accept our Invitation for 50% Off» Back side of coupon: «Not valid with any other offer. Must submit coupon. First time clients only.»
Avante — here’s a tip: learn how to market properly — when your coupon has exclusions — list them — otherwise you are practicing false advertising!
Based on your business practices, I will certainly take my, and my wedding parties’ business elsewhere.

Everybody was so nice!

I just got all over color, highlights and a cut from Kris and it looks fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and did a great job, I would highly recommend her! The price was cheaper than I expected so I even got shampoo and conditioner.

I just had an interesting conversation with this hair salon. I have never been there,
but know it has a good reputation. I called to get a Brazilian Blowout. This treatment
normally is quite expensive. ($ 150-​$ 250). I asked to make an appointment for Saturday. I was told I have to get a consult first and then get the treatment. I said, could I get it all done on Saturday. She said, no, the consultation was separate from the treatment. I said I work and Saturday was the only time I could have it done. At that point, she argues with me and I said thank you and good bye. Does this salon really have so much business, that they can afford to turn this away? Its easier to get an appointment with my GP than at Avante…

Absolutely love this place. They had good service and the staff were very friendly. Think of a good massage and I know where I would be!

I have been seeing Alaina for almost 8 years and have referred many friends and family. Nothing but fantastic things to say about the salon’s atmosphere, services and staff. Always check in with Unilocal– discounts on products or services every time.

I just had my first appointment with Kara L, and it was the best/​most enjoyable visit to a salon I’ve ever had. She wined and dined me while I received a cut, color, and blowout. I have extremely curly hair and the blowout I received was amazing! She didn’t even need to touch a hot tool to it. I will be going back to her!

A friend of mine had gone to Avante for years and always spoke so highly of her stylist (Alaina). Alaina has a months-​long waiting list (always a good sign) so I made my appointment with one of Avante’s newer stylists, Shelly. Shelly was amazing! She was so personable, easy to talk to, relatable, and most importantly, GOOD AT HER JOB. I wasn’t 100% sure how I wanted to get my hair cut, so I put the ball in her court, and she did an amazing job. I’ve been circulating salons and stylists in the tri-​county area for years trying to find somewhere that makes me want to return, and I made my 2^nd appointment with Shelly on the spot. Their prices are also very competitive, which was nice (I’ve paid upwards of $ 100 for a haircut in the city) and they also gave me coupons and samples when I was leaving. These small but resonating gestures showed me how much Avante cherishes their client relationships.
Not only is Avante good to their clients, but they are good to the community too. I recently got an email from them that they are holding donations for a charity walk in Chester County, which also speaks so highly of Avante as a company. I highly recommend Avante!

For 23 years, my aunt and my mom were the only stylists who had ever touched my hair but when you’re desperate for a haircut before a vacation, you have to branch out. I found Avante on Unilocal and purchased the Unilocal coupon for a $ 75 gift certificate for only $ 50 which was great. Its always nice to save some money! When I called to make my appointment, the receptionist said she understood my nerves and explained that Kim would be a great fit for me.
Oh was she right! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands. She made sure to take time to talk about what I wanted, what she thought would work best, and then took her time to execute the plan flawlessly. She was extremely friendly and easy to talk to further putting my nerves at ease. I had never been on the receiving end of the scalp massages and finishing blowout before and it was heavenly.
When it comes to hair, its always better to spend more money to get what you want than take a chance on a cheep cut. At Avante, despite the price tag (keep in mind I’m a graduate student and paying more than $ 20 for anything is not normal), the end product was well worth the money. My hair looks and feels incredible and I’ve received numerous compliments on both the cut and the color. I can’t wait to go back to Avante and visit Kim!

Lauren is an incredible stylist!!! Just moved from Philly to West Chester, and needed my hair color evened out (from a previous disastrous experience at Salon Chemistry in WC.) Lauren knew exactly what I wanted, was extremely creative and professional. She handed me a glass of white wine and fixed my hair to perfection. My husband and I will both be coming to Avante salon and spa for many many years to come. Great great experience, wonderful welcoming staff, and an incredible stylist, Lauren.
Just fyi, I had a single-​process color applied, with a blow-​dry & style afterwards. $ 74. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on buying the Unilocal coupon… :)
