Blue Dog Printing & Design is a printer based in West Chester that provides marketing strategies, graphic design, EDDM, copying, imaging, scanning, direct mail services, digital printing, tshirt printing, embroidery, promotional products and personalized gifts for businesses and individuals in the Chester County and surrounding area. Our onsite Direct To Garment printer allows us to print full color tshirts in low quantities. Blue Dog customers have business card, postcard, flyers and brochure printing needs.

History

Established in 2003.

Partner, Debi Friedmann, started a graphic design company in 1996, called Designing Wright. As her customers needs grew, she modified her business model and partnered up with her husband, Bill Friedmann, to create Blue Dog Printing & Design in 2003. People often as how the name Blue Dog was established… well, the answer is that Bill and Debi adopted a dog from the SPCA in 1999 who had been dyed blue at the hands of her previous owners. She stood out among the pit bulls, and she provided the inspiration down the road to make a business «stand out» from its competition as well.

Business Owner

A 1994 graduate of Elizabethtown College, Debi’s bachelor’s degree in communications coupled with a double minor in business administration and psychology laid the groundwork for her entrepreneurial pursuits. A graphic designer by trade, she honed her skills in advertising at Image Dynamics, an agency in Baltimore, Maryland. Her next move was into publishing with the Rosen Group and North American Publishing Company. In 1996, she formed her own business, Designing Wright, the predecessor to Blue Dog Printing & Design. Debi serves on the board of directors for the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. In her non-​working hours, she trains for the Susan G Komen three-​day walk of 60 miles.
