Peter’s Salon and European Spa

My first time at Peter’s! This is my second salon since I moved to PA. I had a friend referred me to Britney. I was scared at first, but Britney was very nice and I love her personality. She listens to you and give you tips. I think she is now my official stylist that I will be going to.
The only thing is that the receptionist needs to greet and smile more lively !

The building is pretty nice the esthetician does a decent job on brows my hair cut wasn’t bad but the front desk is a mess! Every time I call its a production. The last time I tried to schedule a color, the girl was a moron and kept me on the phone while she discussed where to put me with someone next to her. Seriously for a full 10 minutes at least and I finally asked her to call me back when she had a spot … She never did so I’ll never go back. They are also very snobby/​uppity at the front desk — not my speed. I found a great place in Bryn Mawr I’ll be going to from now on.

I haven’t stepped foot in a hair salon in years and have never been satisfied with a haircut done by anyone other than myself but I am extremely happy with my cut! Brittany did an amazing job and gave me the exact style I was hoping for. I was nervous too since I have difficult Asian hair but I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been going to Peter’s for years now — Corey is the best and always does right by my hair, whether I know what I want or I tell her to just do what she thinks will look good. The other staff members are extremely nice and the salon itself is bright, spacious and welcoming. PS? Best hair washing/​scalp massages ever!

Great place

I had scheduled an appointment with Corey for a full highlight after I was highly recommended by a friend of mine to come here. Originally I was referred to Jen, but I was told over the phone that Corey was equally as talented. So I took the girl’s advice and booked with Corey. I arrived a few minutes early as the girl suggested over the phone and I was seated right away to fill out a few simple forms.
Corey greeted me promptly and was very sweet and friendly right off the bat. I never felt rushed or anything of the sort. She took the time to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. I have a LOT of hair and have had so many problems with new stylists in the past. My hair is not coarse, but is thick and very long, and can be difficult to work with. She got the color right on the root, flawlessly. She did a full foil of highlights with a few low lights put in for some contrast. She does the most relaxing, soothing shampoo as well. I have a sensitive scalp and for some reason people love to be so rough! Instead of a harsh sprayer she gently pours the warm water onto your scalp and it is the most relaxing experience after a long day.
She also colors a few of the other stylists’ hair in the salon. It was nice to be able to see her work in front of me, which was comforting.
The color turned out beautifully; no brassiness, no color bleeding, nothing. Also, my hair felt soft, not brittle and frazzled as it can after just having the shock of color applied. Just gorgeous, evenly applied highlights. Couldn’t be happier! I also had Kelly tint my brows and she was a sweet heart and did a nice job as well. Very happy. Everyone I encountered was friendly and professional.
On top of everything, their prices are shockingly reasonable. I was surprised. For such a great experience you would expect to pay much more. I even ended up having the battery in my car die when I left the salon, and one of the guys at the salon was kind enough to help me out in jumping my car. Cannot recommend this salon enough!

I can’t say enough good things about Peter’s, and I can’t recommend Jessica and Anita highly enough; I’d be willing to take a chance with any of their other staff due to the extremely positive interactions I’ve experienced time and time again.
Definitely check out their website – they offer a HUGE range of services at reasonable prices for the quality of service received. I pay $ 35 to continuously get the best cuts of my life. To me, that’s a great value. (I was paying $ 50 – 60 per visit for cuts I wasn’t satisfied with after my stylist’s departure. That was steep enough for cuts I liked, but totally out of the question for sub-​par work.) Their online booking system makes it easy to find an appointment when I need one, and booking at last minute has never been a problem for me.
Jessica has been doing my brows for 5 or 6 years now and I will NEVER let anyone else touch my brows (for as long as I can avoid it). She has also done brazilians for me and a few friends. We have had great experiences with her performing this service – she is thorough and makes you feel very comfortable. Although I have found a brazilian service I like for much less elsewhere, I will always return to see Jessica to get my brows done.
For years I was getting my haircut by Nancy at Blaze in downtown West Chester, but when she left I decided to give Peter’s a shot since I’m in there frequently to get my brows done anyway. BEST thing that has ever happened to my hair! I see Anita – she’s very experienced and just knows exactly how to handle hair. She’s fun to talk to about travels and adventures and is always greets me with a big smile.
Speaking of smiles, for as long as I’ve been visiting Peter’s, the staff there has always been incredibly friendly and helpful. There was a problem with my payment during the visit before last and the staff was incredibly discrete and helpful in helping me set up arrangements to pay on my next visit. What could have been a very embarrassing moment was quickly turned into a great customer service experience.
Although it’s hidden away behind Wawa in an unassuming looking building, Peter’s has top notch facilities that always put me into a tranquil state. The spa area is beautiful and very nicely kept, and the salon is always pristine and filled with light due to some huge windows.
Give them a visit; you won’t be sorry!

So i’ve been here twice and had service that deserves five stars and one star. Figured three was my happy medium. The first time, I got a massage and facial, which was great. Thay have good ambiance, and made me feel right at home. All those kinks were gone and I left feeling like a miilion bucks.
The next time, I decided that since my massage was so good, this would be perfect for my first south of the border wax. Not so much. My waxer wanted nothing to do with doing the service (I heard her sigh noticeably when I said it was a Brazillian) and was waiting for me to give up at any moment and not finish it. Not exactly the reassurance you need. Though talented at her craft, she could use some customer skills.
All in all, I would recommend them for massages, it looks like they do a good job with hair from what I saw. But don’t get waxed there.
