Windsor at Windermere Place

My husband and I were 1-​year residents with Windor (our first residence in PA).
The customer service, maintenance, and overall community at Windsor was fantastic. We believe the fixtures need a bit of an update and the pricing was on the higher side for what you get; however, the community is safe, neatly kept, and the management is the best property management we’ve ever experienced.
Again, I cannot say enough great things about the property manager, asst. property manager, and maintenance. Class acts.

We moved into Windsor at Windermere Place 3 years ago and have been quite pleased with our decision to do so. We have found the setting and atmosphere to be very cordial and friendly and informal from our first day. The staff coordinates several activities and functions throughout the entire year. The pool is becomes a focal point of fun and relaxation during the summer season and is always clean and sparkling clear.
Although the community is an apartment complex the residents respect the common areas as if they were their personal property which helps contribute to the neat, tidy appearance.
Pets are welcomed and they serve to get both new and longtime residents to interact and get to know each other and make new friends.
The maintenance team is on top if any issues and, should the need arise, they are prompt and efficient and always courteous.
We truly believe that we made the right choice for us when we moved into Windsor at Windermere Place

I am currently in my 5^th year as a resident @ Windsor @ Windermere Place. I am proud to say my life here has been wonderful. The care and dedication from everyone who works here is unparalleled. During the summer months. being at the pool with all my new friends is such a special and awesome time… I never need to leave the complex… This community encourages pet friendly parties and resident themed holiday festivities.. After living in many different cities throughout Pa…,… … In Westchester @Windermere…. I have found a place I can happily and truly call home…

I am very happy with my decision to move to Windsor at Windermere and have been a resident for nearly 3 years. This was my first experience living in an apartment after downsizing from a 4 bedroom single family house. I chose a 2 bedroom with 2 baths and after eliminating unnecessary clutter have become very comfortable with my decision. I also rent a garage, which is an additional cost, but is better than the off-​site storage facility option.
The management staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Their planned events are enjoyable and a nice way to interact with your neighbors. They are extremely resourceful, offering suggestions and information on local events and other well meaning topics either by email or postings placed at each building. Furthermore, the maintenance crew is quick to react to requests and is efficient in ensuring the repairs are properly completed. The buildings and grounds are well kept and landscaped nicely.
The feature I like the most is that the community is more than just «pet friendly». When I was looking into apartments in the area, several indicated that they were «pet friendly», but failed to indicate that their definition of pet friendly meant cats, birds, etc., but not dogs. I moved here with 2 dogs, who adapted quickly by interacting with the other dogs in the community.
The location is perfect, close to downtown West Chester, the Exton business and shopping centers, as well as Philadelphia and Delaware County. The community is safe, and allows you the freedom to walk to different locations within, such as the gym, which is open 24 hours.

I agree with Kim O. who posted earlier today. Her review is spot on. I have lived here for four years and enjoy the quiet community in a beautiful wooded setting close to restaurants, shopping centers, hospitals, and other businesses. The leasing team (Property Manager Lea, agents Kelsey and Ciearra) and maintenance crew (Supervisor Jason, engineers Jon and Gerald) are like my extended family because of their warmth and genuine concern for me and my living accommodations. Also, they are very responsive to any requests I may have (i.e., within a few hours at most, if not immediately). Socials are held in the clubhouse on a regular basis (monthly or bi-​monthly)… lots of food, drink, and fun! Snow and ice removal are quick and thorough because of the collaboration of our maintenance crew with local contractors. The design of my 1 bedroom, 1 bath is special and unique in its angles, floor-​to-​ceiling bedroom window, and pentagon-​shaped living room ceiling. Neighbors are friendly and helpful, and the community is safe. It is a privilege to live here. In the past 30 years, I have lived in numerous apartments. The ones that were brand new had lots of «glamour and glitz» features and construction but lacked the warmth and comfort I was seeking. So, I searched until I found a community which most resembled a home… and that’s when I found Windsor at Windermere Place… my huggable home.

I have been a resident at Windsor at Windermere Place for almost two years and I love it. I have a one bedroom unit with a spacious open floor plan in the living area which allows enough room for me to have a small home office. If there is ever a problem with the appliances or anything else in the unit, maintenance is quick to come in and make repairs. Maintenance will also provide you with free air filters for the HVAC unit and free light bulbs for the light fixtures. Additionally, there is no need to worry about shovelling snow in the winter. The community is promptly plowed and the roads salted. The side-​walks/​walkways are shovelled and they use pet friendly ice melt.
The community itself is really friendly and I enjoy meeting my neighbors at the various events held by the staff. A couple of the really fun events were The Pizza Wagon and the Holiday Party. The events are always free and fun to attend. In the warm months, the pool is open and there are plenty of chairs for sunbathing.
Windsor at Windermere is also one of the few complexes that allows large dogs (breed restrictions apply). There are a good amount of residents who have dogs in the community, and you can generally find someone walking their dog at any time of day. Pet waste bags and receptacles are placed throughout the community to help keep the grounds neat and clean. Your furry friend can also find a treat in the leasing office right next to the picture of The Pet of the Month.
The location is great if you are looking to get away from the city, but still live close enough to enjoy a night out. Windsor at Windermere is about 20 miles west of Philadelphia, or about a 40 min drive. If you would like to stay local, the West Chester Borough is a delight both during the day and at night. The borough offers boutique shops and a variety of restaurants. Italian, Sushi, Mexican, Indian, are just a few of the cuisines you can find in West Chester. There is mass transportation close by that you take you to either Philadelphia or West Chester Borough. A bus stop is directly across the street near WaWa and the Malvern Septa train Station is a 10 minute drive.

Very old with tiny cabinets and rooms. Fixtures are cheap, and the light above the kitchen is an ancient clear plastic box. My not so large bedroom set does not fit and had to position the headboard in front of the window. The sliding glass window, while very big is very old, dirty, and the screen has holes it in. Very disappointing.
