One of our favorite places to eat! Great food(hubby loves the pizza, I love joeys chicken, all their soups, and the mushroom risotto) service is always on point(Ryan and Jeremy are our go to servers, they are always so polite, friendly, and keep our drinks refilled!), and the place it very clean and has a nice, relaxed atmosphere

Tried the pizza several people told me to try their pizzas. Not impressed at all, tasted like frozen pizza you would buy at the grocery store. There are some awesome pizza places like al’s pizza.

Visited Pal Joeys this evening. I stood at the reception for 10 min and no one greeted me. This is not acceptable, so I left. They have lost a customer.

I liked the old Pal Joey’s atmosphere so much better! Now it’s like any other family diner. But the food(pizzas, love the white pizza, to die for Italian beef’s) is still very tasty!!!

Fairly good pizza. The pasta could definitely be better for an Italian restaurant. If you order pizza I’d go deep dish.

We have been going to this place for a year now. Our initial experiences there were 3 – 4 star. Everything tasted home made, everything was good. I’m not sure what has happened in the past 3 months, but their food, their service and the restaurant as a whole has just gone down hill. We look at the parking lot every day as we drive by. It used to be packed EVERY day. Now, you’re lucky to have 10 cars in it, and half of those are probably the staff’s. Shame. we used to like them.

Pal joey’s is one of our go to pizza places in the burbs. We love the tilo crust with broccoli black olive and onion or whatever combo you want on it. But the broccoli is amazing here on a pizza! And the tilo is a must! I like mine crispy. The thick crust is good but I love the tilo! The service is hit and miss but If you don’t like the pizza it’s probably because you suck!

I’m not sure what to make of this place. I’ve heard co-workers say this is the«Best Pizza they’ve ever had in their life!» I went there with another business partner and the lunch buffet was just plain nasty. The dough was still wet and very thick, they give you«pizza sauce» that looks like they opened it from a can of condensed tomato paste, their salad was gross and they display the pizza on the smallest turnaround table. If you guys are a larger, established business can you invest in getting a normal display? It is so hard to cut and pull pizza in such a small space. Having four pizzas in that small display case is super awkward and it forces your hand to touch other pizza. Disgusting. I’ve went here(4) times now and the pizza is consistently bad. Maybe it is because I’m doing the buffet? Maybe the pizza they sell and /or deliver is much better quality.

A great place for a really good Italian meal. We’ve been several times now and had a pleasant experience each time. The staff are also friendly and attentive and the prices are not bad either. All in all, it’s become one of our regular stops.

Left my phone there last night. My bad. Thanks to ‘Find My Phone’ I knew it was there. However, it took four trips to the restaurant in slow(2:00 on a Sat afternoon) and busy times, the last accompanied by the West Chicago police to get anyone, including the owner, to even attempt to help find. We have been loyal customers over the past 3 years, dining there over 50 times. Recommended to many friends. Never again. We were treated as a nuisance rather than a loyal customer.

I have been dining at Pal Joey’s since I was little. I had my rehearsal dinner at this restaurant. It’s our favorite close to home pizza. It’s delicious, it’s always hot and fresh when get take out. The staff are always friendly and when we dine in we have NEVER had bad service. Tonight we ordered a large sausage pizza on their signature crust, garlic bread, and calamari, we were told 25 minutes it would ready for pick up. We got there we pay, we are then told the computer is broken and they didn’t know our order. We ended having to speak with a manager Rick, who generously bought us dinner for the trouble and I am blown away! And when he said it would be out in 2 minutes he meant 2 minutes! Companies don’t usually take care of their customers like that anymore! We will continue to eat here and as usual the food was fresh, hot, and delicious!

Fantastic food! Love their lunch buffet — I think it’s $ 8.75? Pizza, Soup & Salad… worth it. One of my favorites is their White Pizza. Anything Pal Joe’s does is good. Can’t go wrong. Ps. Martin’s Nachos are the bomb. You have to say Martin’s Nachos. They are big enough to share too.

First time here with a group of friends; few if any expectations in regards to the food, and left with a smile and a desire to go back. The appitizers were commonplace yet good; it’s the pizza that was a surprise here. We ordered both thin crust and extra thin crust, both of which were worthy to come back for more. The perfect amount of vege’s, loaded and brimming with freshness and gooey cheese sans grease. Tried the ravioli as well. It was super.

Something has gone horribly wrong at Pal Joey’s, West Chicago, of late. This assessment is based on 20 years of experience, not just one sour pizza. We are the proverbial Canary in the pizza shaft. Most Sunday nights you will find me at the carryout counter, waiting for our usual large-thin crust-extra sausage-onion-green pepper pizza. We are happy to pay a premium price($ 21) for this high quality pizza. But the last FOUR Sunday pizza’s have been sub par(although being a golfer they are really over par, double-boggy pizzas) One ingredient or another was missing. The excellent tomato sauce appears to have been applied with a paint brush and the cheese portion is as variable as the weather. Most egregious is the extra sausage issue. When I opened the box, there were sausage balls sitting atop the pizza, like boulders on the lunar landscape. If you shake the box, you would think you got a box of marbles for Christmas! What happened here? Someone realized they screwed-up a pizza and their answer was to throw a hand full of sausage boulders on top of the pizza and release it to the hapless customer. Time to begin our search for a new favorite pizza.

White pan pizza, sausage and black olives. Mmmmmmmmmmm! Service is sometimes lacking, and where to pickup inside always changes from the bar to the pickup area depending on time and day. Always good pizza though!

My sister took us here with a few of their friends to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. She had a certificate to use up and needed to spend $ 100 to use it. She and I went over their online menu before going and pre-planned what we were going to order to reach the $ 100.00 and to not really go too far over. We ordered an abundance of apps to kick off the meal. Probably a little too much, but their apps were pretty good. A single order of calamari is enough for 4 – 5 people to split and each have a few bites. Calamari doesn’t really keep for left overs. They had a special potato skins app on their specials menu that we ordered and was described as having a whole list of items(chorizo, green onion, bacon, cheese, and like 3 other ingredients). Most items were hard to be found anywhere on the dish. Her friends thoroughly enjoyed the mushrooms. I was a fan of the Fried Zucchini Strips… abundant and almost french fry-like and the mozz sticks were pretty yummy too. Nothing was greasy by any means. Much appreciated, Pal Joey’s! What I most enjoyed was the crust on the pizza. It was super light for a deep dish. Didn’t weigh you down. Sauce was light which I enjoyed on this particular pie. What I didn’t care for was the lack of toppings. At(I believe) $ 2.50 per topping, and to have only 2 or 3 little bitty bites of the ingredient on a slice, was a let down. Even though I wasn’t paying, someone was, and they should not be taken advantage of. After discussing the meal with my sister the next day, I learned that their over zealous server charged her for full toppings of items that we only had«half» toppings of. WTF? The facility was pretty clean. Used the washroom and it was ok. A LOT of seating. Did not seem necessary for a place 80% empty. If we lived closer, I would do take out. The restaurant wasn’t too appealing… very dark and deary.
