Aire Serv Of Central Sc

I’m giving Aire Serv one star because I can’t give it a negative number. They were servicing the house a bought a month ago and the contract extended through the end of the year so I gave them a try. In all my experiences of dealing with contractors, particularly HVAC contractors, I have never had a more unpleasant and uneducated dealing. First, they said I needed a new compressor so they ordered a compressor. When they came out to install the compressor, they said it needed to have the expansion valve replaced. When they came out to replace the expansion valve, they told me they were wrong and that my unit did not even have an expansion valve. When they left, the temp in my house was 89 °F. They had done nothing to repair the unit, yet they wanted me to pay them nearly $ 700. I refused. I contacted three other highly reputable HVAC companies in Columbia, SC. All three of them confirmed that Aire Serve was wrong in their testing and their diagnoses. We ended up replacing the entire unit one week later, but from a different company.
In addition to their incompetence, they have, without a doubt, the rudest staff in the city.
I cannot say a single positive thing about the Aire Serve.
