This mark-​up is typically two to three times the actual cost of an item. Since our profit is not generated by customers’ purchases, there are dramatic savings when ordering directly from manufacturer catalogs and the actual wholesale price lists. This process is nothing new. This is how retail buyers purchase their inventory. However, it is certainly unique for a consumer to have this same privilege.
