I believe this restaurant is no longer in business. Missed their baked pork chop rice

Underrated Hongkong brunch restaurant. Milk tea here is so much better than average level.

The curry fish balls and rice noodle rolls tasted just like when we had it in Hong Kong and are sooooo gooooood! I love that the food comes out hot, steamy and flavorful!!! The employee/owner was helpful and nice. I also like that the restaurant seems clean. Will definitely go back to try the other dishes.

The red bean is so hard in Red bean coconut drink, feel like I’m eating little rocks! The baked tomato beef rice, are you kidding me? Is it baked? The cheese on top is not even melted!

Ordered beef chow fun to go. it was a bit soggy and not enough soy sauce on the there. Onions were raw and not cooked enough. I can make a better one myself if I wasn’t too lazy to cook at times.

I came to check out the hype after reading the reviews. I had high expectations and therefore it did disappoint. The food isn’t that great; HOWEVER I’m giving it a 4 stars for authenticity and living up to its name of 100% HK café. First of all, I ordered the bake pork chop with rice. It seemed like the wise decision as it was recommended by fellow Unilocalers. I have to say I’ve had better at Café De Coral but since the closest one is a couple thousand miles away, this would have to do. I like their use of an aluminum tray(1star). Their fried rice used Maggie seasoning(2stars). There are no free refills for teas and drinks. Yes, bring that HK tradition over here(3 stars). And as someone else mentioned, the HK radio(4stars). Overall, it’s nice to have a HK café in West Covina and will save me the trouble of driving to San Gabriel area for weekly cravings of HK food.

Where can you get pineapple bun at night? Well here is the place to come. Amazing authentic Hong Kong food at a low price. Definitely better than majority of café in San Gabriel valley. Really remind me of Hong Kong.

One of the better hong kong cafes in the area especially the ones from the east side because there aren’t alot. Their spicy fish balls or curry fish balls are pretty decent. Their other food is good as well. They also play hong kong radio station which i think it has alot of hk taste to the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Good food. Good service. Would be excellent if it could extend the business hours a little.

This place is more like a mom pop restaurant. Before judging it go in and eat. Food are very good tasting chinese/hongkong style. Price is affordable, portions are good. Small place but worth going for lunch or dinner. It wont break the bank. My kids love the backed fished, and the hotpot looking chicken. i will keep going back and try other entries they have.

We ordered a bowl of noodles and baked pork chop rice. As for drinks, we had the lemon tea and coconut red bean ice. First all, if you are in a hurry, do not order the baked pork chop rice. It took forever! The taste was good but it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. The bowl of noodle has a very small portion. Decent price though. One thing I wouldn’t get again if I go back would be the red bean drink. It was so watered down and it’s definitely not 100% HK style! It had no taste and there were no slush in it. Service was so-so.

Fish ball are sooooo gooooood! Ying yang fried rice is alright but not as much meat as JJs in Monterey park. Beef chow fun is pretty good but a tiiiiiny bit salty for me. Interior is a bit snug but has a charm to it. Server/owner are really attentive and very nice. I gotta go back and get mo’ balls and try some other things !

Not worth it. Too pricey for the low-quality small amount of food. Giving them an extra star because the place is kept pretty clean. If you insist on giving this place a try, DONOT get the mixed fruit punch. It looks good in the picture, and they charge $ 3.75 which makes you think they make the punch with fruit… Nope. It’s canned fruit inside a cup of orange soda.

This place is clean. The food was ok, but the curry fish ball this really good. This place takes credit cards only if you spend 20.00 or more

$ 1 dong ling cha! Been eyeing this joint for awhile while I get my drink fix on at FTB. Finally today is the day. Ordered the bolognese with fried egg and rice. Plate was $ 5.99. I’ve had baked bolognese with pasta but wasn’t feeling for the heavy spaghetti today so opted for the rice. Taste was good. It was spread out nicely but it seems a little lacking on substance. Maybe another egg or some steamed veggies would have worked? Now my momma ordered the E1 noodle soup dish and that seemed to be worth the price at 4.99. Came with all sorts of meat and veggies. She said the soup could have had better flavor. Overall, its good enough(price definitely helps) to come back again and try some other dishes. Other into: Came in around 1230 and it had a few people but by the time we left, nearly all the tables were filled with HK people. Moments like this makes me happy to see a small joint get business. The interior is nice and pleasant to eat in.

I dont regret taking a chance at this place! The tomato pork with rice is so addicting. There’s no strong flavor to it. but everything is a nice messy goo of subtlety. Don’t mistake it for bland. The fact that its subtle makes it even more addicting. Like a well constructed song that fades out in the end, leaving you wanting more. The portions are probably big for a normal person. But i eat like an animal so its perfect. The curry fish balls are also great. I am curious to try everything else. I came back 2 days in a row. People should check it out more.

I got the house special vermicelli noodles something and ok, not enough food for the price. The baked pork chop over fried rice was pretty good. But $ 1 extra for the fried rice instead of white rice. Hong Kong style coffee and tea combination was delicious; tasted way better than other places. Tried their pork sung bread. Not enough pork sung. The bread was too dense. My baked pork chop rice took forever my companion had finished his meal when mine arrived. They need to time their cooking better.

Yayy for a new Hong Kong style café in West Covina area, so I don’t have to go all the way to Alhambra/San Gabriel area just for my home food craving. The restaurant is small and simply decorated. One special thing I like about it is that they have the Hong Kong radio station on. Our table ordered 2 milk teas, 1red beans iced drink, bolo bun, house special pan fried noodle, and 2 curry beef rice. The food made us waited for a little bit and it came out good but not great. Food portion is about average with a decent price of $ 6.5 per dish. Free refill for milk tea too!

Cute little bakery and café in Hong Kong Plaza. The place seemed a little empty on a weeknight so I was glad I came in just to buy some baked goods and not to have dinner. I hate eating in restaurants where I am the only customer and when restaurants are slow, I always tend to question how fresh their ingredients are. Bought a moon cake which turned out to be pretty tasty. I would come back to try some of their other bakery items since the service was really friendly.

It nice to finally have a HK style restaurant in the HK plaza! It’s my fourth time here, and I’d like to say this place is getting better and better. They’ve recently include a number of HK famous rice dishes! I love those, especially the Fried Egg w/Tomato(蕃茄炒蛋), and the Sweet and Sour Chicken(菠蘿咕嚕肉). Those dishes are in affordable price. Other than that, they also have a bakery section, fresh bread every day. I usually brought breads home after having a meal there. The thing than attracts me most is definitely the freshly baked egg tart! HK style egg tart(蛋撻), the original taste brings up a huge loads of memories. There’re times that egg tarts are out of stock. They’re very nice, and say that we can call to make a pre-order of freshly made egg tart! Overall, I love this place because it stands out among the others in the area due try to its originality and traditional HK favor!
