Babak Alavynejad, DPM, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of California, Los Angeles. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1994 at California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He successfully completed his residency at the Doctors Hospital of West Covina. He is currently the Director of The 3 Year Surgical Podiatric Residency Program at Doctors Hospital of West Covina where he instructs other Podiatrists how to perform various different surgical treatments. Dr. Alavy is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In addition, he has assisted in nearly 1,000 orthopedic and spine surgical cases. He has been in private practice since 1996.

Dr. Alavy, DPM specializes in rear foot and ankle surgery as well as all other foot trauma and ailments.

Business Owner

Dr. Alavy serves as Resident Director and teaches other podiatrists how to perform foot and ankle surgery.

He is double-​Board Certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rear Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Alavy chose to earn dual-​board certification to provide the highest level of care possible to his patients. It’s his personal mission to be the best physician his patients are looking for.
