have your kaiser card ready and call in your refills ahead of time, they are not done the same day. This pharmacy is great

Long lines. Long lines. Did I mention, long lines? When you drop off your prescription, you have to wait in line. When you pick up your prescription, you have to wait in line. Expect to wait here. It’s a very busy pharmacy. They are nice when you get to the front, but it takes awhile. I like going to the KP Baldwin Park location(there are like 3 pharmacies at that location) or the KP Diamond Bar location because the wait is not as bad. It’s better to have your prescription refilled and mailed to you if you want to save time.

As quoted by someone behind me in line, «This don’t make no sense!» Of course, the line will be long but it really depends on the day. Sometimes I will get no wait(wow shocker!) or sometimes I have 10 people in front of me(pretty normal). There was only one time that I did have a minor problem. When they called me up, one of the pharm techs was like, «What happened to it?! You just got it a few weeks ago!» Okay so maybe I was a little too early, but no need to get so loud. I’ve noticed that the pharm techs usually look all dolled up and the pharmacists are in the back with crazy hair. I don’t blame them, it is a stressful job. I recommend that you just order online then come here for pick up. Grab and go process so you wouldn’t have to wait for them to process prescription.

So don’t even think about getting in and out here. Especially if you go mid day or early afternoon. This IS my pharmacy but I have really learned how to time things. The phone ordering and mail service are great, but take my advice leave your prescription and pick up the meds up later. The pharmacists are patient and he really helped me so much but there are a lot of us patients that use this small pharmacy,

I think this is true for most Kaiser Pharmacy… the lines are always CRAZY!!! I remember getting in line with only 3 people in front of me. It still took 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. I can’t say they are understaffed because I saw at least 7 people behind the counters. I guess each patient requires 10 minutes of instructions on how to take their prescription? Who knows… I know they would call people up randomly and they would just go to the front of the line. I only come to Kaiser Pharmacy when it’s an emergency… Otherwise… I’d just go to CVS.
