Recently brought my 6 month old in for her first visit with this doctor for her check up and shots. When I called to make the appt a male answered. found an appt slot and said «okay we’ll see you Wednesday» rushing me off the phone until i reminded him he might need our names, and dob, phone number, insurance info ect.
The day of the appt we show up I let the receptionist know it’s our first time here. She then asks what are we there for. i advise her the baby is due for her 6 month check up and set of shots. She gets me started on paper work and asks for ID and ins card. I returned the completed paper work to her and she let’s me know she is still checking on ins. I notice a lot of patients showing up after us .around 6 different families and after 40 mins of waiting about 4 of these patients were called back before us. The receptionist must have noticed I was getting a little frustrated so she let’s me know she’s just checking the ins and we’ll be called back next. Finally after 45 mins of waiting we get called back. The doctor was quick but I guess she got the job done. I wasn’t a huge fan of her I’m hoping our next visit is better. As we’re leaving the assistant let’s me know to make our next appt for 3 months. I walk out and waited in front of the front desk for about 7 mins while the receptionist was on the phone before walking out without a next appt.
Overall I didn’t like the appearance of the office. It looks like a house. A little cottage. Doesn’t look like a professional office. The inside looks messy and outdated. I try to be understanding of wait times because I actually work in a pedo office myself BUT I think it would help if ins info was gathered and verified prior to when patients walk in .i think it would save alot of time and get the patients seen much faster and also looks more professional than getting on the phone in front of the patient trying to verify ins and put together charts

Every time I call the office to schedule a same day appointment I’m always told they’re booked. I called this morning because I have a sick child at home whose running a fever, coughing, and now throwing up. The receptionist Francine asked what was the reason for the visit and I told her. She said give me one second and covered the phone and I could hear her talking about the rain. She comes back on the phone (I assume it’s Francine still) and she asks me what’s the reason for the visit and I said I just told you. She said no you told someone else. Well first of all you should introduce yourself so I’ll know your someone new and second of all what type of customer service is that. Dr Kumar is always changing staff at her office. The staff represents the doctor and they are NOT doing a very good job at it. I am ready to take my kids to another pediatrician. I don’t think I should have to take my son to the ER because it is not an emergency but if the Drs staff can’t even manage the phone calls I really have no choice.

I wouldn’t recommend this office. Staff is kind of rude & doctor just comes in and out. She doesn’t make you feel comfortable asking questions.

I have been bringing my 2 children since 1997. Has always been great, have always trusted the Dr. Past few years I have had to bring my teens for sport physicals, it seems to get worse each time! Always different staff now… I hate that, long wait!!! And unprofessional attire from the nurses & front desk staff. Don’t mean to be mean but it looks bad!!!

My kids had her as a PCP for a total of 2 visits, and on our 2^nd visit, she opened a case with CPS. My 1 year old (just learning how to walk and very fair skinned) had a bruise on her that was literally the size of a pea (if not smaller) on her side! I don’t know about anyone else with kids but news flash: THEY BRUISE! She had not taken the time to get to know my children or my family and based a pretty impactful judgement that of course was unsubstantiated. I understand and appreciate that every health provider has the obligation as a mandated reporter of the state to report suspicious behavior, but being in that position also means that her judgement should be carefully thought out. I felt as though she didn’t throughly investigate this matter and completely disregarded the emotional and mental stress this places on families. Her reaction was callous and cold when I was visibly upset (as many would be after being told that you’re suspected of abusing your children). Her response was that being investigated was a «normalcy» that families go through. There’s nothing normal about being accused as a neglectful parent. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone that values a meaningful relationship with someone that you’re placing your trust in to care for your children. She doesn’t seem to want to connect and it was a very horrible experience for my family to go through. And just so everyone knows the claims were found to be dismissed and the agency was notified that certain things this horrible doctor listed were completely fabricated! If one thing should come from this I was hoping it would be that Dr. Kumar be investigated as an unfit health care provider! Please be cautious with someone who isn’t very meticulous when it comes to making such blandish accusations!

I do not recommend you take you children here, my grandson has been having seizures for the last few months, when the Dr. saw my grandson she referred him to the eye Dr. He continued to have seizures and when we requested a referral to a neurologists, she refused. she said he was too young. He had another seizure and when we took him in for a follow up, the Dr;s response was it is normal and lets hope this is his last one. My grandson is 18 months old. I feel like she doesn’t care and has a non challant bed side manner, Not only htat her front office represent her are not very friendly.
Update.took my grandson to his new pediatrician and she referred him out asap to a neurologist.
So disappointed that this wasn’t done sooner and Dr’s comments about us taking him in for nothing. Any sickness or symptoms that continue should be looked into and not be brushed off
Dr. Kumar needs to have more consideration for her patients. I hope she doesn’t treat all her patients like this

Dr. Kumar is amazing! Only thing is even if you make an appointment, be prepared to wait an hour until you’re called in. Overall very good place to go:)

I been coming here form 2008 before staff changed everything will run smoothly throughout the office but after staff changed it’s not friendly the atmosphere feels doll and it seems like if they don’t want to be there. They take along time to attend you and it sucks. But the doctor takes care of business. If only the doctor would realize that her staff is the face of her she would have way more clients.

Ive been bringing my daughter since she was bor. She is now 6 and dr. Kumar and he t staff are excellent they do same day appt i recently had my son a yr ago and and he also sees dr. Kumar the only thing is Marissa the receptionist is no longer working there and we really miss her but over all she is a great pediatrician.

Called in for a followup on my daughter. Antibiotics aren’t working for her and she is still sick. 2hrs later we are here for them to reexamine and prescribe some new meds. Parking is horrid, even more so when people Park over the lines. Wait time on average in 30 to 45 min. All depends on the time and day you show up. Nice staff and very caring. Lots of young patents with thier patents who don’t watch thier kids. Not the staff’s fault but just be aware.
