Peter’s El Loco

This place use to be the best for hardshell tacos it’s gotten ridiculous I ordered 3 tacos and asked for pico de gallo and the women said sorry boss said I have to charge you 50 cents each. Really ridiculous to charge especially with the how much we spent here. They lost a customer.
Returned today 6÷20÷16 Still same lady won’t give her name and still charged for salsa so ridiculous. I’m over this place guess time to go back to J&S in Montebello, CA

Ordered bacon breakfast burrito and it looked like a bean and cheese burrito… couldn’t see the bacon at all. French toast were horrible… cinnamon like there was no tomorrow.

Been coming here for a long time and enjoyed the food but the last few times I’ve been there the quality of the meat has gone down and is always chewy and tough. The pastrami was just bits and pieces of hard pastrami and the service is not as friendly as it used to be.

My wife and I love their hard shell tacos. I would give them five stars, but the last few times I ordered them they were not hot. They taste so much better when they are fresh.

I used a Groupon I had for El Loco and was very disappointed. The lady behind the counter was very rude. I wanted to order the kids special but because I was using a Groupon she said I didn’t qualify to order a special even though it’s on the menu. Whoever heard of such a thing? The idea of using Groupon is to grow your business. Why would you penalize someone like that? I was not happy to say the least. The food was ok but the service was awful. Too many rules at this location when trying to use a Groupon. Sounds like they nickel and dime you here. I’ll go to Manny’s from now on. They have better service.

Huge servings, great flavor, friendly service! Loco nachos and chili relleno plate to go and you’re set for a food coma! My boyfriend and I love stopping here for some grub after a long stressful day and are always greeted with a welcoming smile! Irene is so thorough, helpful and sweet. She always makes sure we have everything we need, answers any and all questions respectfully and is such a hard worker, she truly gives 100% that always brings a smile in turn!

Very un happy, i went there order 3 tacos and they wanted to charge me for hot sauce, i told the lady to give me back my money and said i was going to the other el loco on azusa and cypress

The lady up front is so rude she tries to correct you and stuff. Lucky it’s a work place. Won’t be back as to rude service and then they offer coupons but require your address name state and zip and email like wtf it’s a dam coupon

This place is my favorite place to grab some mexican food because it is 3 minutes away from my house and I love mexican food. The staff is really friendly and sometimes it can take a bit long if there’s a line but they take phone orders so you can just call 5 – 10 minutes ahead and they will have your food ready to pick up when you get there.
I usually get the carne asada burrito which is really good but I have also had the taquito plate and that is also really good.

Love coming coming here. I have to say their customer service is awesome and it goes along way to make the customer feel like they are at home.
I typically come here for breakfast, however I had a craving for a quesadilla and Taquitos. I was inspired to come in because of the Free Medium drink on their Check in Redemption offer!

OK so, I found this hole in the wall and must say it was an extreme pleasant surprise! Nothing fancy about this place but that’s what makes it cool!
I was greeted by What I believe is the owner and he was a really nice guy. What I like to ask any establishment that I’m visiting for the first time is what are you known for. Or whats your most popular plate. He preceded to explain to me in great detail what they offer and the fresh ingrediants they use.
I picked a burrito and glad I did because, it was one of thee best I’ve had. It has good mouth-​watering meat, fresh beans, cheese, an a chili, and some lettuce. The taste was incredible the fusion of flavors was extraordinary. Just a great tasting burrito.
They also have two salsas that are darn good. The green one is the lesser of the two heats. However, the taste is incredible with the smokey-​ness of the tomateos so good. The red one is hot but has a really good taste to it try it.
Drink I had an Horchata and it was a really well mixed drink. Didn’t taste any of the cinnamon I usually get when shipping it with my straw.
My brother got an enchilada with beans and a salad. He said it was really good and that coming from someone who eats at 5 star Mexican restaurants so, it must have been good.
Over all I love this place and the burrito and service was tops so they get a perfect 10.

First time trying peters and let me say worst food EVER!!! Their burrito was so plain and it seems like their beans were out of a can, the rice was instant, and the meat was microwaved. Also i found a hair in my burrito. That is so DISGUISTING!!! Never eat here it is so awful. And if you eat here the bathroom will become your bestfriend

Some of the best Mexican food in West Covina! Been coming here for over 5 years and they never disappoint. Will never get sick and tired of their food. Their enchilada plate is the best as well as all their burritos!

Food was really good the staff is super friendly prices are good definitely will be coming back for the Loco Fries get asada on them!

Awesome spot, makes me want to order everything on the menu when I’m there. Weinie con huevo breakfast burrito is a great thing. Don’t forget the the hot sauce. Yum.

I didn’t catch her name, but there seemed to be a new lady there. She was super super nice, actually, way nicer than I expected from El Loco or any mexican stand at that.
She greeted me with a «randy» as she guessed that i was there to pick up my phone order. She repeated my name throughout the conversation/​order which was a big plus, as professional sales people are taught that, not your local taco stand at the corner.
At the end of the transaction she even asked me, how SHE DID. Wow, this was a great experience.
Ordered a El Loco burrito which was good and consistent as usual. five stars for service, and four stars for taste and cleanliness.

I usually go to manny’s but decided to give peter a shot. The prices are more expensive and there is no indoor seating. The recipes are supposed to be the same but I don’t know if the two have anything else in common.
I ordered my usual bean and cheese kids meal with fries, they use Cajun salt here and the fries aren’t as oily as at manny’s. One reason I love manny’s is because of the fries! The bean and cheese burrito was good and the female cashier was very friendly and gave me lots of green sauce without hesitation!
I will come back to try some other menu items when I’m in the area. There’s plenty of parking and shaded patio seating.
