I came into this hair salon looking for hair extensions. I was able to search the location on Unilocal.She greeted me as I walked in, very professional, nice and welcoming. She helped me search the correct extension color I needed for my blonde hair. And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY NEW EXTENSIONS! I’m so glad I found this location. It’s my go to location now for hair extensions.

My extensions were sewn in on a Tuesday and are very loose on Friday! Never had extensions before so I thought this nice lady Elizabeth, who a couple of people recommended to me would do a good job. When the curls got flat the next day… UNEVEN hair!!! like a person with a blindfold did it and the back of my head had a lighter patch of hair. My natural hair didn’t get the ends trimmed in that area as my hair needed trimming to rid of the previous coloring. The curls had hid that lighter area but now it was very noticeable. Since i figured that Elizabeth probably didn’t specialize in styling and cutting certain types of hair i went to another salon that i usually get my haircut and color at. My hair was soo bad that i was embarrassed and walked in with my hair up. As soon as i let it down and the hairdresser saw it, i heard two gasps! One from her and the hairdresser next to us. Besides the color and uneven hair issue, apparently the braids on my head were too thick (they are very uncomfortable, but never had them before so i thought it was normal and i would get used to it). They told me that the way my extensions were done they didn’t match the texture of my hair (my hair is fine), and the tracks that were braided/​sewn in were not alligned with the shape of my head. It was third day since i got my extensions and hadn’t even washed my hair yet and the braids were pretty loose. I got my hair cut and they color matched all my hair, but i am going to have to keep them on for a little bit. The way my real hair got «trimmed» the first time i would have to be in hiding for at least a couple of months. In a couple of weeks, im going to get them redone. Im broke with the initial process of putting on the extentions and then the corrections afterwards in less than a week. Please make sure that if you come to Sam I Am, they can work with your hair !

Elizabeth french braided my daughter’s hair on short notice. Very reasonably priced! She also let me watch and didn’t mind teaching me because I told her I needed to learn how to do it myself. Watching her made a huge difference! My daughter still won’t let me practice on her hair because she’s convinced it won’t turn out right but I keep telling her «practice makes perfect!» She said I should buy one of those dolls and practice on that. LOL! I would highly recommend this place.

I stepped into this Beauty supply shop randomly looking for a specific hair relaxer. We have a fiend who graduated from the Paul Mitchell academy and sent me on a lil errand that turned me into a repeat customer her. the gentleman who runs the shop is very knowledgeable and experienced with a variety of hair and beauty tips it seems.
I now return about every 60 days or so i return for a pound of raw Shea butter from Africa. Turns out this stuff is super powerful just by itself and buying lotions and creams are kind of a huge waste of money when you get just get the main and active ingrediant. Forget Jergens this is the stuff they are putting into the lotion! I am using it for fading some scars what I have and my misses is using to tame her pregnancy stretch marks. If you haven’t tried this place out take a look around inside and ask some questions. You might learn something you didn’t know.
