I don’t usually rate doctors on Unilocal but I saw some negative reviews and I had to chime in. I really like Dr. Beaver. I completely trust her and she takes me seriously and speaks to me like I have a brain in my head — not something that can be said for many doctors. She delivered both my children, saw me through several miscarraiges (showing great compassion to both me and my husband) and treated my for cervical dysplasia. She’s the only doctor I see on a regular basis and have seen for years. I wish she was my GP.

I started going to Dr. Beaver after leaving a very busy OB-​GYN practice. I’ve observed her office staff for years since I see her husband, my allergist. They are friendly, helpful and accommodating. I appreciate that she is the one who calls with test results and she returns phone calls! She treats me like an intelligent person and together we find the best way to go when it comes to treating my issues. I’m glad I found her.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Beaver for over 20 years. She is very professional and I trust her completely. I would not want to go to anyone else.

Dr Beavers office is the absolute WORST! I originally went to her for a routine yearly exam. My first visit, while unfriendly, wasn’t that bad. Then when I went in to receive my depo shot they charged me 75 dollars saying it was mandatory to pay the whole fee and then they will reimburse me the difference once the claim went thru to my insurance. The second time I went to get my shot they told me they called my insurance and I still had to pay the full 75 dollars. This didn’t sound right to me because my husband had called our insurance and they told him all I had to pay was 30 dollars for the office visit copay. I told them this info and the nurse said ‘ok well if you say so’ and took the 30 dollar payment. Then the next time I got my shot a different nurse told me it was 75 dollars again! At that point I called my insurance and told them what was going on, they told me not only was she charging me the full price and then billing my insurance and getting reimbursed (while not reimbursing me) but she was also billing me for FAKE OFFICE VISITS! There is a clause in my insurance that if I ONLY go in for my shot I do not have to pay an office visit copay NOR do I have to pay for the shot. To get around this «dr» beaver was billing my insurance for office visits I never had everytime I got my shot. In order to do this she claimed FAKE diagnoses of Vaginitis. She claimed 4 times during 6 months I came in to have a visit with her and that she diagnosed me with vaginitis which never happened!!! Just so she can steal my 75 dollars AND get reimbursed 75 dollars from my insurance!!! The straw that broke the camels back for me was when she wrote me a prescription but neglected to tell me it expired in 6 months then when I tried to get her office to authorize my remaining refills they told me they would call it into the pharmacy but never did! On top of all that they have no set office hours and even when u call to let them know you are coming you still may show up and have Noone be there. They suck to put it plainly and beaver takes advantage of her patients all so she can go on a month long holiday (without so much as notifying her patients or updating her voicemail) I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from a doctor no less. She is nothing more than a thief with a stethoscope! STAY AWAY!!!

I saw Dr. Beaver and I found her to be quite friendly, so not certain why some here say she lacks bedside manner. She also took time to listen to my concerns and offered good advice on symptoms I had been experiencing.
Everyone in the office was friendly, nurse was great. Very short wait time.

I went with a friend for her gynecology visit with Dr. Beaver several days ago.
The friend had never been to this office before & was referred to her by another person. As the other reviews mention, Dr. Beaver doesn’t really have any bedside manner. She asked the friend a variety of questions that weren’t all medical related. She seemed to be asking about the friend’s personal life & giving her opinion. When a woman is pregnant and going to a gynecologist for an exam, she certainly isn’t there to be judged for her decisions, choices, etc.
I’ve been to quite a few gynecology visits & I’ve never been treated in the manner that Dr. Beaver was treating the friend. A person is there to discuss their pre-​natal concerns, questions, etc. Dr. Beaver didn’t respond to the various questions that the friend was asking in a professional manner. She told my friend that she doesn’t do deliveries, so the friend would need to go to another gynecologist for that.
I was rather surprised by Dr. Beaver’s attitude, lack of warmth & basic concern. I don’t believe that the friend will be returning to this office for any future visits. For whatever reason, Dr. Beaver wouldn’t let the friend even hear her baby’s heart beat to be assured that everything is okay.
Heads up to other Unilocalers about this office’s complete lack of concern for patients. I can understand why she only has 4 Unilocal reviews after seeing how she treats patients. :(:(

I have been a patient for a few years now and Dr. Beaver and/​or her staff have always been there for me when I needed anything. I am not sure why people are saying she does not have bed side manners. She might not sit and chit chat, but she focuses on the reason you are there and that is all I need from a Dr. I am not looking for a friend, just a Dr.

Just saw Dr. Beaver for my annual. I’ve been seeing her for over 10 years. She is incredibly smart and competent, and projects a no nonsense persona that can be mistaken for «cold» or «hard.» (If she were a male doctor, we might not even find that a problem, if we’re honest about it…)
I’m writing today because my annual visit yesterday reminded me of why I keep going back — when addressing my questions and concerns re: my mother’s recent breast cancer treatment and prognosis and what it means for me and my sister’s «breast future,» she could not have been more wonderful — she listened extremely closely, gave her professional opinion on what I knew re: my mother’s doctors’ decisions, gave me a huge amount of information that I needed to think about going forward on my own behalf (without overwhelming me with unnecessary info). I left feeling cared for, listened to, armed with good info — that’s more than most doctors provide.
I don’t look forward to her eventual retirement (she’s been at this for a long time), and am so happy that I was referred to her from my very first OB/​GYN in the Valley, who left shortly after I moved here.

Dr Beaver is a very good and competent doctor, she is very professional.

She’s a competent physician. Zero on the bedside manner. Zero.

Dr Beaver is pleasant enough although if you are looking for someone who is very interested in her patients she is not the one. She is very basic and her procedures are easy going. Her staff is nice especially Michelle.
