At Quick & Easy Stick Shift Drvng Lessns we provide you with the best 1 on 1 instruction to help you master the art of driving stick shift/​manual transmission vehicles. Let’s face it, on your own it can be a pretty daunting and scary task trying to figure out the clutch without stalling your car a dozen times. Besides, how many people do you know who’d lend their car and teach you step by step?

Relax! You can rest assured when you come to us, we’ll take all the anxiety and stress away. Learning how to drive a stick has never been simpler. WE provide the car and cover driving aspects such as:

*Engaging the vehicle into 1st gear (off surface streets)

*Engaging into 2nd-​5th gears on small surface streets.

*Driving in reverse and 3-​point turns

*Head-​in and parallel parking

*Uphill driving in gear skills

We teach and practice on a safe lot and if/​whenever you feel comfortable we can drive on surface streets. Call for an appointment. Flxble hrs avlble

History

Established in 2008.

I’ve been driving stick shift vehicles since ’99 and have many satisfied clients. I’d like to reach out to more people. There’s a demand to learn to drive stick & w/​my rates being very reasonable, I can meet your needs. About my local rates*:

*$ 60 p/​hr. — for whether you want to pay as you go or just need a quick refresher course

*$ 275 (5 hr pkg.) Still need more time? Each additional hour is only $ 45

–Engaging the car into 1st gear (off surface streets)

–Engaging into 2nd-​5th gears on small streets.

–Driving in reverse and 3-​pnt turns

–Head-​in and parallel parking

–Uphill driving in gear skills

–Extra time to drive and fine tune your skills

I’m just a guy who likes to hang out with friends and enjoy the things, times and people I’ve been blessed with; down to Earth, easy going and very approachable. Those traits have enabled me to be a patient and excellent instructor. I’m able to adapt to people’s driving habits/​knowledge level of driving stick and be able to teach in an easy and effective manner. In all humility, you’re getting an excellent instructor for your time and money; you won’t be disappointed!

Other things about me: I love playing card games; the Atlanta Braves; 49ers; Vancouver Canucks and UCLA Bruins. I can’t say no to jet skiing to paddle boarding. Hiking? Yes, please. You should try Mt. Timpanagous in Provo, UT if you dare :) People I’d love to meet/​have met: Tony Dungy, John Wooden… and most important of all, I believe in Jesus Christ. Just had the 5 hour deal with Nima this week. Did not know how to drive such at all. Nima is a very skilled teacher, but also very patient, and precise. Manages the time very well. If you’re just learning manual, take no less than 5 hours. Time flies, especially when you’re engaged and learning. Very much worth it!

Nima doesn’t need the praise, but deserves it.
Very easy going, very patient and above all very PROFESSIONAL, Stick Shift Driving Lessons is the way to go. Setting appointments has been smooth, and the instructor arrives on time (which gives you that much time to work on the vehicle). After about six hours, I feel comfortable enough to drive a stick-​shift through suburban streets. Nima is the man (and a huge baseball fan!)

Not just a great teacher a great guy. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I spent the 5 hours with him and we reviewed and did way more than I thought possible. I was a virtual novice with only a day or two of experience before working with him.
However after a few hours we were driving all over LA traffic without a problem.

Nima and I had been corresponding for over a month. I took lessons with a another school but then didn’t get much practice after. I have to know manual for my job. I had a few stall outs and struggle drives so I contacted Nima around 11am today and by 5pm I was starting my lesson. I did one hour and plan to go for more. He gave me the basics and fundamentals I needed to do the job I must each day and I feel very very confident that I won’t stall out or be nervous when required to drive manual. I plan to practice as much as I can so my lessons stick ;-) thank you so much Nima and see you again soon.

I recently had a 5hour lesson with Nima and just a few days ago went back for another 2 hour lesson. I went back because I wanted some more practice. Nima is awesome! He is calm, friendly, knowledgeable and easy going. You will definitely learn a lot from him. Just like anything, you must practice, practice, practice! He will teach you what to do and how to do it but you must practice on your own afterwards or you will never master it. I went on my first legitimate drive this evening and his 2 major rules (3seconds and 5 seconds) kicked in and I drove home without a problem. If you want to learn stick, go with Nima! He’s the best of the best!

I learned to drive stick shift with Nima 2 years ago during a temporary stay in LA. But somehow I must accidentally deleted the review on Unilocal.
So here I go again! I can’t help to acknowledge what a fantastic instructor Nima is! Once manual, forever manual!
Teaching stick shift and loving it, not to mention Nima got some intense academic degrees under his belt, who would thought?! It’s so admirable to see hustle and bustle mentality in SoCal, and I dig it!
Long story short, Nima is the only instructor in the entire LA county you should take serious lessons from, end of the story.

I picked Nima after reading all other Unilocal reviews. I’ve been wanting to learn stick for the longest time, and although I’ve messed around with my friend’s old beat up truck, I never quite was comfortable with it. Nima is amazing, he is incredibly thorough, patient, CALM (which is important cuz I panic) and just a pleasure to work with.
Note: Do not schedule your first lesson after a hardcore work out session. I did Legs the night before and my muscle control was lacking. I only completed one hour, will definitely reschedule the other sessions. :)

I travelled from San Diego to LA to take a 3hr lesson and it was worth the time. I had tried to learn in San Diego earlier. But I wasn’t comfortable with starting on hills. I desperately wanted to learn as I wanted to buy a stick shift car. After the experience with Nima, I wish I had come here first time itself.
First of all, the 5hr lesson is very well organized (i took only 3hrs though). Started first hour in an empty parking lot. This proved most helpful because it is easier to learn when you are not under pressure compared to a backroad. After the 1hr in parking lot, I felt a lot more confident. In the last hour we practiced a lot on uphill starts.
I would highly recommend Nima as an instructor

Worth every penny!
Nima is super patient and very kind. he takes the time to make sure all the concepts are communicated and understood. Tons of tricks to make it the learning easier. You will be driving within the first hour. His rates are also super competitive.

Nima is a great driving instructor. Everything was very professional, he was on time and patient. I only stalled once! Trying to get the hang of driving a manual transmission again before buying my new car. Only preforming the 1st hour of his course, which covers the basics and maneuvering through 1st gear, coming to a stop and working the clutch. The other parts are much more indepth, but I didn’t feel I needed that for now.
I’d highly recommend this service to anyone interested in learning how to drive an automobile with a stick shift, standard, manual gear box, whatever you would like to call it.

Nima is hands down the best instructor I’ve ever had in my 28 years of life. He is such a naturally talented teacher, and I’m pretty sure he could teach an infant how to drive a manual vehicle. Nima is very thorough, and he won’t move on to the next step until you’ve fully grasped each concept.
Although he is very patient and takes his time, he will not drag out your lesson longer than is necessary. He is very efficient and does all that he can do to allow you to learn in a quick, safe, and thorough manner.
Aside from being a great instructor, he’s also a cool and down to earth guy, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. He will happily answer any questions you have, and he will test your knowledge along the way to make sure you’re retaining all of the information that he’s covered. I absolutely recommend him to anyone who is considering taking stick shift lessons. You will not regret it.

I had zero experience driving a manual car unless you count shifting while my mom drove the car.
The wife and I bought a third car. We wanted something a bit more fun and sporty. So we went with a Fiesta ST, but this car only came in 6 speed. Oh Oh. The wife promised she could teach, but after a couple of lessons I knew I would need more help.
So I contacted Nima. He was available on three days notice and I got the lesson done in 5 hours. The time goes by quick, but I was ready to drive stick as soon as I was done.
I HIGHLY recommend!
