Let me list the ways this place has failed me:
*They took a photo of a mole I had and the photo is not in my file, they can’t find it and can’t explain where it is and they couldn’t have cared less. Unacceptable.
* They waved a co-​pay for me because I wasn’t going to pay $ 40 to get two stitches removed that I could remove myself but then they billed me for it anyways.
*For a month now, they should have been sending an insurance form to my pharmacy for a medication. My pharmacy hasn’t seen it so I call them and was told I’d be called back in twenty minutes. Two days later I’m calling them back because they never called. My cell and work phones show no record of them calling but one of the nurses wrote in my files she called.
*The wait times are less than acceptable, especially for the two minutes you’ll be spending with a Dr.
*Someone I know requested her medical files and was emailed files OF SOMEONE ELSE.
I won’t be going back here. Even the doctors who work here have moved on. They are careless with files and generally terribly disorganized.

TLDR: Shady billing practices. I’ve been to this office several times & I always pay up front in cash or credit card whenever I have an appointment. In November, I booked an appointment for a procedure. During this appointment, I spoke with my doctor about my dermatology concerns & she wrote me a prescription. After the appointment, I came out and paid for my appointment like usual. Several months later, I got a bill in the mail asking for payment for a second appointment that day — They want to charge me for a second appointment. I thought there must have been a problem, so I called the doctors office up about this & spoke to Melissa. Melissa told me that «that’s just the way things are, you owe for two appointments because if the doctor speaks to you then its classed as another appointment». This was not communicated to me up front, and I really don’t like the way they dealt with this situation. It shows a complete lack of regard for clients. I won’t be going here again.

Definitely do NOT recommend. I was scheduled for an appointment at 12:15 the doctor did not come and see me until 1:15, so I left without getting checked on. I asked them if they would be long due to the fact that I had to go to school, they still lagged. Most of the workers there are patronizing, by making you feel like you don’t know what you are talking about, especially the lady in the front. Don’t even get me started on the billing because they screwed up mine majorly and I had to pay much more than what they had told me. They do not care for your health, they just hope to sell you as many of their overpriced products as possible. Honestly just save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

Dr Gaminchi is incredibly skilled and conscientious. I chose my insurance policy simply because Dr. Gaminchi is on that particular plan. I’d also like to acknowledge her staff, especially Rachita and Michelle. They are all friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and I’m always treated with respect. I don’t generally provide reviews but felt that this is an office that deserves to be Unilocaled!

I will be looking for a new dermatologist. The doctor is more concerned in selling expensive products. I asked for a prescription for a face wash which my primary doctor had giving me once and the doctor there said they don’t have prescriptions for it but they sell it for triple the amount and I can’t my insurance to cover the cost. It just doesn’t make sense.

Visited for the first time today at the advice of my friend. All of the staff were super friendly and professional. Dr. Maggio was thorough and explained everything. Office environment is very pleasant. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. You just can’t beat that.

The Ladies At The Fronts Desk Are Not As Nice/​Friendly As The Two Ladies That Help Check You Out In The Back As You Leave. Dr. Maggio Is Very Sweet And Soft Spoken. Spends Her Time With Her Patients And Meets Their Needs.

Very pleased with the service all around and would highly recommend West Hills Dermatology to friends and family.

Had an appointment today and was very pleased with the office staff and Dr. Sarah Maggio. Had an appointment at 11am and was out by 12pm. Very professional.

My 90+ year old grandmother was getting treatment there for a variety of issues. Office staff is patient and understanding. Calling a prescription in to a pharmacy should be easy. Alas, it was NOT easy! Yesterday afternoon, the check-​out receptionist looked me in the eye and said «found the pharmacy you requested and the prescriptions have been sent» it was sent to the wrong pharmacy (in the wrong city, wrong pharmacy name). Today, we found out the hard way, after quite a few frustrating calls to the pharmacy it was supposed to be called into and then talking to the doctors office. The doctors office offered no apology and at this time my grandmother has yet to receive her medication because this doctors office has not corrected their mistake although they said they would… Incompetent!
The doctor my grandmother was seeing was kind but not very engaged or warm.

They are more concerned with selling their products than the reason for your appointment. It is hard to get an appointment to begin with and to know that they are more pushy at selling their products then recommending over the counter products is irritating, it doesn’t feel like they are concerned for your overall well being or giving you other tips and recommendations asides from buying their products

Dr. Gaminchi performed 2 biopsies for me with great ease. She informed me afterwards that she will have her lab perform a tissue exam to make sure the tissue was normal. Never was I informed that this lab/​tissue exam would come at an additional cost over and above what was stated to me originally, (an additional bill for over $ 350). Imagine my surprise in the mail. After I contacted Dr. Gaminchi, they did acknowledge a mistake… but somehow I still got stuck with an additional partial bill and I’m yet to receive the results of my tissue exam. Not a happy customer.

I highly recommend Dr. Gaminchi and her staff. I have been treated by several different dermatologists over the years and I have to say she and her staff are by far the best I have ever been treated by. They are patient, caring, and always professional, and more importantly they listen! Do yourself a favor and come see them

Dr. Farnaz and her staff is hands down, THE BEST dermatologist I have ever been to, I never feel rushed… unlike some of the others. She is impeccable, professional, but also compassionate, sweet, and sensitive to my specific needs. Highly recommended!

The office was so welcoming and modern. The receptionist was extremely nice and the staff overall were friendly. The products were a little expensive: They charged $ 150 for the Obagi Clenziderm Acne therapeutic system. I found it on Amazon for $ 70, but the sales rep was correct that things online tend to be cheaper than in the store.
I came in for my first appointment under the notion that I’d see Dr. Gaminchi, but it was Dr. Maggio who was my dermatologist that morning. I was a little disappointment with Dr. Maggio’s for the following: 1) Being a new patient I expected to Dr. Maggio to do a full body skin check. In case she might notice a spot and, then, later on notice that same spot getting larger, which could lead to early cancer detection or whatever the issue may be. However, that was not performed during my first visit. 2) I wanted a more satisfactory answer than «it’s probably in your genes. there’s nothing you can do about it» in response to my question about how I can reduce large pores and what contributes to large pores. Other than that, my visit with Dr. Maggio was nice and quick.
Overall, I was a little disappointed with my first visit: I went to a new dermatologist that a coworker referred me to, 2 weeks later, and have been happy with her.

When I called to make an appointment, the assistant answering the phone sounded very pleasant and nice. The day I went in for my appointment I had to fill out some new patient paperwork. The waiting area is nice and quiet and the furniture is relaxing. I cant say enough about the Physician Assistant that I saw. She was in a great mood and answered every single question I had without making me feel like I wasnt worth her time, which has happened to me more times than I care to count, especially from doctors.
