I have an annual membership which I paid in full. since last week this store is closed and no one even informed customers what is going on and when I call other locations they just lie about some remodeling, construction Irvine company is doing!!! Irvine company what has to do with your interior???
YOU HAVE TO PAY MY MONEY BACK ASAP

I just learned that this location closed down without any notice to the customers. UVASUN is located on 3^rd street between the Beverly Center and The Grove. They’ve been there for 32 years and have easy, FREE parking. UVASUN is offering specials to all the ATB clients that have been left deserted by this move. Tanned here but when they closed I went to Total Tan up the street. Really great people, family owned and THEY MATCHED MY TANNING PRICE I WAS PAYING AT ATB! And they actually have better beds than I was using before!

I just stopped by, plenty option on UV tanning and Sunless spray tan, free parking, complimentary coffee and tea, very competitive prices starting $ 19/​month.

Can’t believe this place closed without any notice, but everything happens for a reason. I found an amazing new salon on sunset blvd and alta loma called sunset tan, above burger lounge. Free parking too. I am so much happier there! Amazing beds and extremely friendly staff! I signed up for $ 19 monthly unlimited, no sign up fee you just pay the pro rate amount. Also got 3 free tans when I told them I came from at the beach! My new go to!

Not so surprised to hear this location closed after reading all the bad reviews as of late. Ibiza Tan on Fairfax uses Ergoline beds and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Give them a try.

I would like to start off by saying the staff here was very friendly. I had to ask them to show me how to operate their tanning beds, which at every other salon I have been to the staff usually does that without being asked when it’s your first time. I feel sorry for them that they work for a un professional business.
I signed up for At The Beach tanning a little less then a month ago in September. I didn’t have to pay a start up fee because they were running a special that day, however I did have to pay for first months tanning which is completely expected. This location closed on October 3^rd without informing their customers. They left a sign on the door that said to go to their sunset blvd location. I should have called first, but I decided to go ahead and drive all the way to the sunset location from the Robertson location. When I arrived the manager at the front desk told me that the West Hollywood location cancelled all of it’s customers memberships and that I would have to pay another $ 28 to sign up again. I feel At The Beach is unprofessional for not informing their customers that they randomly shut down. They also do not provide goggles and make you purchase your own. I found a new tanning salon right away that uses level 3 beds for $ 20 a month, ATB was charging $ 28 a month for level one beds. The Sunset blvd location of ATB is hidden on a second level by the movie theater, you also have to pay to park at this location as well. No thank you, I will not be returning to At The Beach. If you are looking for a GREAT place to tan in this area, Sunset Tan is where it’s at.

This location is close now… just showed up for a tan today and a sign said, «this location is closing October 3» and a note saying to go to their other location more than 5 miles away… I have a month, y membership but no email or notification… sad…

I had been going to Sunstyle for years. The company I worked for (sbe) had special friends and family pricing there of $ 150 for 10 tans with no expiration. I found out by calling that there were new owners. I asked if the old pricing would be honored, the girl said she didn’t know but her regional manager would be there the next day. I called back the next day and left my information. I never received a call back. A coworker went in and asked the same thing and a female employee referenced me with annoyance that I had called. I called to confirm my $ 90 lotion was there so I could pick it up and take it to Darque Tan (where most sbe employees are transferring to) and was told my lotion isn’t there and the only thing they can offer is 30% off since it isn’t your problem that it was lost.
Your staff is rude.

If you want your tanning experience to feel like buying a used car, this is your place. They are masters of constantly trying to upsell you to plans/​products you do not want or need and talking in circles to avoid answering any questions directly. Honestly one of the worst sales experiences I have ever had. If I hadn’t been familiar with this space when it had previous owners, I never would have signed up. (And shouldn’t have.) The guy who sold me my membership would not stop «selling» and just level with me about the plans and pricing. And their whole obsession with selling ridiculously expensive suntan lotion feels like a borderline scam. News flash people, it’s the UV light that gives you the tan, not some unknown substance in a fancy bottle.

I never write reviews but my and my husbands experience here was so terrible that I felt compelled to let the world know.
First off The positive reviews below HAVE GOT BE FAKE! I can’t imagine how anyone could have an enjoyable experience here.
The whole feeling you get here is that they are trying to rip you off somehow, whether its by making you sign a million documents or trying to sell you a $ 100 lotion even though you just bought one. The guy actually tried to convince me my bottle was probably expired so I should by a new one hahah. Every time I went they tried to sell me something else, WTF, chill out dude I just want to tan I didnt come here to be harassed by a douchy salesperson.
The manager is a total prick, he’s even an asshole to his own employees in front of customers, very ugly vibe.
They do have great machines but the staff is so terrible I dread walking into that place I just can’t go back anymore.
My husband and I bought a spraytan and somehow got bamboozled into a recurring plan charging us monthly, That was def not what the sales guy told us but nothing we could because we signed our life away in those documents. Totally my fault for not reading but I trusted the guy was selling us what he said he was… obviously he didnt.
I can’t imagine this place will stay open much longer, I can’t wait for new management so I can go back there cause I love the machines. The old company that owned the space was great with great employees I hope they figure things out, and turn it over to a more professional company.

Just cancelled my membership. When I tan I want to relax, and not be continuously hassled by condescending sales pitches. Employee Jonathan Jennings is the worst offender! After his persistent attempts to sell me on products I don’t need & berate the product I’m currently using (because apparently he’s never heard of Bronze Boutique lotions although he works in a salon!) I decided to cancel my membership. Learn how to read your customers! It’s Sales 101! Duh.

Equipment is fine. Staff is fine. This is about some shady billing practices.
Signed up for a $ 20 a month plan. It was a good deal at first…
When the Target credit card debacle occurred I was sent a new credit card. Obviously, they didn’t have it on file, so one day when I went to use the facilities, I couldn’t.
No big deal, makes sense.
But what they didn’t tell me, is that because the charge couldn’t process I was charged a $ 40 fee. Surprise! And supposedly, the manager couldn’t take off the fee, it had to go through their billing department in Denver.
OK. Fine.
A lady from the billing department called me once during the day. I work a 9 – 5 so couldn’t pick up. I called back, and could only leave a message on the general company voicemail. She called back a week later, I couldn’t pick up, called back, left a voicemail. This happened a couple more times.
Meanwhile, because my account is delinquent I can’t use the facilities. Which is fine, I just wanted to cancel anyway.
Finally, she called and I literally ran into the bathroom at work so I would not miss her call. And surprise, because we were into April I was charged another $ 40 late fee (and April’s $ 20) even though I couldn’t use it.
So suddenly, I had a $ 145 outstanding bill for unused services all because my bank sent me a new card due to the Target fraud.
Finally, they were able to take one fee off, so my total was $ 105. Which I paid. I have great credit, and don’t want AT THE BEACH ruining it.
Basically, they’ll say anything to get you into the contract. But if there is any snafu, it will cost you an arm and a leg to get out.

Like me, you probably found the free «one week tanning» coupon online. Like me, you also will probably be wow-​ed and amaze-​d by the allure of the At the Beach Tanning salon (thus getting suckered into buying a one month level three package)! Not to worry though fellow Unilocalers, after getting more details about all the different beds (1 – 6 levels, standing or laying down) and the various lotions (stage 1, 2, and 3 for men and women with all different prices and smells), you will feel great about shelling out some dough at this fine establishment. «But, why» you may be asking yourself. and the answer to that is: because life is better bronze, dahhhhhhhling.

Of course this weekend had the pleasure of getting in for my tan, and again terrific service and superb quality in beds, décor, and products. Cool customers too, very friendly and fun atmosphere is created there. This place is SO rockin’ even recording Artist TI was filming a music video there last night!!! Hope the shoot went well and they got the footage they needed. See you ‘At the Beach’ in a couple of days my friends…:-)

Out of all the tanning salons I have been to in LA, this is by far the best. It is pristine as soon as you walk in the door and everything looks so new and well taken care of. The staff is amazing. I had coupons and they didn’t pressure me into buying more once I told them I wasn’t interested at that time and even helped me pick out the cheapest lotion instead of insisting none exists (which I get from other places). They were very knowledgeable and easy to work with, giving me the best deal they could. I will definitely come back here for tanning and then onto the spray tans.

I found this place online after googling tanning deals in LA. They had a coupon for one free week of tanning — how could I resist? So I printed my coupon and headed over to WeHo to bronze my buns. Naturally, I got suckered into buying a month membership (only $ 20 for the most basic standing-​up booth) and a lotion for 20% off, which came out to around $ 20 too. The membership is month to month, so you don’t have to worry about any cancellation fees. Also with the month membership, you get a free spray tan and free stage 5 tan.
The first time I went in the booth, I was pretty impressed with my tan. I do tan easily, but I didn’t think I would be able to notice it as much. The next time I went in, I used my free stage 5 tan, and I came out looking like a different race! Lol not really, but I was tan as fuck and looked like I spent a week in the Bahamas. The only downfall of the stage 5 bed was that I got that weird untanned circle on top of my ass crack (tail bone area), even though the stage 5 be promised that it would not leave that weird tan. But no big deal, that’s why I have a month membership to even out my tan, right? ;)

I was introduced to At The Beach Tanning Salon by a giant mailer coupon stamped with a freaky cartoon guy smiling uncomfortably big & telling me about the 30 tans for 20 dollars! I can’t resist a good deal so I went to check it out :)
I’m not gonna lie, I couldn’t figure out where it ATB was located because it wasn’t listed anywhere yet! I learned that this location took over the old «Sun Style» store & had yet to be updated online. So, I guess I will be the first to review it on Unilocal!COOL!
Needless to say, it’s gorgeous — even the parking garage is cool — It is lit up with pink lights — so if you miss it, you are blind. I was pleasantly greeted by the tanning salonista’s who were busily cleaning and smiling when I arrived. I signed up for my 30 tan’s for 20 bucks and I got to «double dip» in a level 5 along with nabbing a free spray tan with my membership. Speaking of the new manager, he is awesome. I want to say his name is Donnie, he has rad tattoos and is very friendly! I was actually unaware of this «double dipping» thing until he told me about it! He even let me use a better lotion during my dip in the level 5! Any who, I love the level 1 beds, I love the standing kind and they are really clean/​easy to use! ATB has great hours, they save your lotion for you so you don’t always have to remember it, and they provide eye wear.
I have nothing negative to say about this place. I am so happy they mailed me a little coupon because otherwise — I would have not known of it’s existence! Happy Tanning!
