Best yoga ever. For people who like heat but not like the kind of heat where you feel trapped in a wave of panic then this is for you. Gets your sweat flowing without being soaked in your sweat afterwards. The «aura» of the place is amazing. It’s refreshing and Rejuvenating.

TEACHERS: TAKE KYLERS class. He’s super happy go lucky and has kick butt abs. Vincenzo has a great yoga voice and is incredibly strong and mixes it up. Lauren is so sweet and will sculpt your curves and bum! Nikka is amazing with soothing yoga and getting you relaxed! She fans you with a lavender towel and it’s the best.
beware it’s a little difficult to find but it sure is a hidden gem. It’s just tucked in the corner right below the H and M! There are a few entrances right off of sunset that are easy to miss with the flow of traffic.
Earth bar is right above it for a refreshing treat. They sell coconut water, water, and have a water machine so bring your own bottle.
They have mat wipes for after. Straps cubbies blocks bathrooms & it’s always clean. Never smells and you won’t ever be crammed pack in class. If you like core power and places similar you’ll love aura!

I have never been to such an unprofessional, chatty, non-​spiritual yoga class. Aree was completely unprofessional. She drank coffee, chatted with her favorite people, stood on the side and yelled out commands that very few people could understand or follow. On top of that, she cheered particular students on, chatted with others and lead poses very sporadically. About 20 minutes of the class was dedicated to head stands/​hand stands and other arial moves that only 4 people in a class of 20 could do. She just showed off her moves and never offered a suggestion of a move for beginners or intermediate yoga students. I will never go back!

Absolutely loved this studio– my favorite was the awesome lights that went on during the yoga session! One of the most entertaining yoga sessions I ever had and at the same time it was a great challenge.
I can’t wait to be back to such a clean studio!

General info: towels are $ 1, you need shoes for TRX, and mats for yoga (duh). There are cubbies for personal storage, but no lockers. Cubbies are in the practice room, so be sure to silence your phone (the music is on so loud it probably wouldn’t be the end of the world if you forgot to, anyway, though). $ 22 for a drop in class.
Pros: the instructors I’ve encountered have all been very friendly and energetic. The studio is clean and well kept, and the classes are not overbooked and there is plenty of room for everyone. Foam blocks are available for yoga classes. Front desk staff are friendly as well. There is FREE parking out back, do not pay to park in sunset plaza!
Needs improvement: the classes are somewhat chaotic — it often feels that class is not preplanned, but more that the next move is whatever the whims of the instructor are at the moment. The result is that class can be disjointed, and sometimes the other side (e.g., left leg after right leg) gets forgotten. Some of the yoga classes are billed as «all levels,» but provide very little instruction for those who are not extremely advanced.
All in all, aura yoga is close and not that expensive as far as classes go, but I personally just need a little more structure in my life.

@AuraYogaLA Nameste ! Whoa, I’m truly impressed by the unique vinyasa challenge and take on power yoga. The mood lighting, 60 minute challenge and friendly @JaketheTrainer truly revitalized me.

Love. I wish they were a chain so that they were all over LA and I could go everyday. It’s tucked away in a lower floor of Sunset Plaza just past Equinox if you’re headed west on Sunset. Tons of free parking, which is amazing and awesome in LA, and especially in West Hollywood of all places.
I took a restorative yoga class and a flow class and both were phenomenal. The restorative class is just what I needed after a long day at work — super chill but opened up and relaxed my body. The flow class is amazing. Both are heated although I’m not sure how hot and the flow class is great because there’s lots of vinyasas and more sophisticated moves for the more advanced yogis. I personally am a novice so I would just sit back and watch during those moves. I really like the colored lights in the yoga studio because they are soothing and cool to look at but they have the added effect of allowing you to zone out a little more and really focus on yourself so you don’t feel self conscious at all that people might be watching you (especially if you’re a beginner like me). The instructor didn’t show too many of the moves in the flow class but thankfully there were some really advanced yogis in my class so I just watched what they did. Maybe the instructor would show more moves in a class full of beginners? I’ll have to come back and see.
Overall, though, I think it’s a great yoga studio but definitely not a place that focuses on teaching you the basics. I’m glad I took beginner’s classes elsewhere to learn at least the names of the basic moves but once you have a handle on just the basics, the classes themselves here are great.
Nikka’s restorative class is the best I’ve found. I just wish there were more of these so I could come everyday!

Okay so I’m completely obsessed with this yoga studio and KYLER! Based on all the other reviews, I guess all the instructors are amazing but I’ve been nervous to take anyone else besides Kyler. He has the most adorable personality and is constantly making sure everyone in class has the right form which makes a Huge difference in any yoga class.
Love good vibes and this place has it. Hoping you have a peaceful yoga practice like I did. Namaste.

I took my first TRX class tonight with instructor Brandon London. Brandon is a former NFL Super Bowl winner with the NY Giants and a Grey Cup winner with the CFL’s Montréal Allouettes. If you want a someone to treat you like an athlete and coach you proper form so that you can be the best without making you feel stupid, take Brandon’s class. Whether you are newbie or advanced, this full body workout challenges you with resistance training. As a former Division I volleyball player, his coaching methods are fun, his personality and knowledge are on point, and ladies, he’s very easy to look at :)

**CLASSPASS REVIEW**
Took a TRX class here – really enjoyed it as my first time doing TRX-​only movements!
The instructor was fantastic at showing us the correct form and explaining what body parts we were working. This class isn’t a crazy cardio class where you’ll be jumping all around town. It’s more of a slow endurance class using your body weight as resistance – I love that kinda stuff!
We went from basic to advanced movements and I can see myself using the techniques we learned when I workout at a gym.
I will definitely be back and am excited to learn more.

Also aethestically the room has dimmed colored lights which is actually kind of cool to work out in.

Aura Yoga is such a fun & unique experience. The lighting is beautiful & really sets the mood. I’m determined to learn the scorpion pose just to have someone take an epic yoga picture with that lighting. The lady at the front desk is the nicest person ever & you really can’t help but smile after she greets you. I’ve taken classes with Casey for Aura Hot Fusion & Dana for Aura Power — both have been great. Casey taught Aura Hot Fusion & sang to our class during savasana. Dana is a yoga therapist & took the time after class to teach a girl with super tight shoulders some poses that she can do at home. I live in Downtown & go out of my way just because it’s pretty & I leave the studio feeling like I got a great yoga session + workout in. The free parking is a HUGE plus, because it’s LA (very rare). If you’re a germaphobe, I’ve never seen them clean the floor between classes, so be warned.
Tips:
— If you’re heading west on Sunset Blvd., don’t park in the structure. They’ll make you validate/​pay. Keep driving & make a left on Sunset Plaza Dr. (after you pass Equinox). There is a bunch of free parking in that lot.
— Class is located under the stairway in the back on the corner of Sunset Plaza Dr. & Sunset Blvd.
— If you run out of water, no worries. They have a water station for you to fill up your bottle.
— Wet paper towels are provided for you to wipe down your mat after class.
— Cubbies are located inside the yoga room to store your things.
— Included in ClassPass membership

I didn’t think they really used the lights much for setting the ambience, but it was a very good intermediate plus level class. The instructor had great energy and rapport and the class was full of regulars and friends. The instructor was great at making the class both challenging, but also fun and letting people feel comfortable to try harder variations and that falling was ok :)
Front desk guy was not super-​helpful but the instructor was super-​friendly.
No showers. Your first use of a mat is free and every time thereafter is $ 3. Open shelves in the studio to store your things (this seems pretty standard at yoga studios).

Aura yoga is fabulous.
Let’s start with Nikka; she has a warm, welcoming persona and you can tell she loves and believes in what she does. I have only taken her restorative classes and each time I feel I have both physical and spiritual peace. Nikka focuses on form, breathing, does adjustments, all while reminding you to focus on your intention. Be careful, will leave class super relaxed.
I took Harry’s breath class and it was an amazing experience. The different techniques were challenging for a newbie like me but it was such a release. I loved it, felt like I used new parts of my brain. I left feeling super buzzed and relaxed.
Trent’s TRX class is killer! His intensity is perfect to motivate and push through the reps. I was scared going in but he was very reassuring and set me up with veterans; without them and his follow-​ups I would have been lost. I loved the challenge and how you can feel your whole body working. Great energy in that class.
The studio is clean and pretty with lights that change colors. Parking is free. There is a mirror but you can sit on one side of you don’t want the mirror.

This is my favorite yoga studio in Los Angeles, hands down. It’s so calm and serene inside. Every teacher I’ve had is nothing but helpful, pleasant, and upbeat.
My favorite class is the Aura Power. I’ve taken this class with Kyler and Aree. Both of them kicked my butt! By the time class was over, I was drenched in sweat. So good. I’d recommend either of them!

I was in the market for a TRX class, but I was having a hard time finding one in West Hollywood. So, I want to make sure you all know that Aura has TRX classes every day of the week, except for Sunday! You can find the schedule for them on their website under the category «Aura Body.»
It’s a great class that works every part of the body! Challenging, for sure, but I really enjoy TRX! If you have no idea what it is, it is a class that builds strength by using your own body weight, using straps that are suspended from the ceiling… don’t worry, you have your feet on the ground for most of the class, this isn’t an aerial class or anything! If you want to switch up your routine, I’d recommend giving TRX a try!
I really like Kelly as a TRX instructor at this location. She’s tough, but not TOO horrific. A couple of the other instructors here I found to be just a bit unrealistic in their expectations of what normal, fit people can do! So, if you try it, definitely try her class first!

I tend to steer clear of yoga classes because I get easily bored. It’s hard for me to find a class where I don’t find my mind wandering and leave feeling like it wasn’t the type of practice I was looking for. I’ve gone to some studios and lose interest after a few classes.
Aree has caused me to do a complete 180. Her energy is unparalleled and she takes special care to pay attention to each and every student. I haven’t met a more welcoming instructor and she is extremely encouraging, not to mention fun. I find myself laughing throughout her class. I always leave feeling 1) she completely kicked my butt and 2) a bit lighter and with a calmer/​more positive disposition.
The class is very challenging but she creates a very safe/​encouraging environment that makes you want to push yourself and take risks without feeling intimidated.
The studio itself is cute and clean with a great front desk staff. Parking is excellent by LA standards — a free lot off Sunset.

Miel’s Monday morning class is my FAVORITE way to start the week. Every class is different and I learn something new and gain better understanding of the poses every single time. Some classes are sweaty, some classes are very grounding but I ALWAYS feel amazing at the end.
The studio itself is an experience, especially the lighting.
I discovered this studio via classpass and it’s my favorite so far.
Also? Free parking. In a lot… with tons of spaces! Makes the experience all the more enjoyable.

As a ClassPass user, I’ve been trying out a lot of new studios. I have been a fan of Aura Cycle for months and thought I’d try out spin. I used up all three classes in one week, something I rarely do.
The classes felt athletic, inspiring, and also calming. The lights really do something with your mood and the instructors flow beautifully through poses and actually offer a lot of help, if that’s what you want.
I like that the classes are so tiny. I’ve been to another local studio where there were 28 people crammed in a room for a «not so relaxing» primetime 5pm flow class. Aura feels more intimate, just like the spin studio. About ten people in each of the classes I went to: Chakra and two flow classes with Nikka.
Also, parking is FREEi Sunset Plaza, which means you can eat, sip, shop and then do yoga. It’s a great atmosphere and still a reasonably priced studio.

Why did I just take the best Yoga class of my life.
Thanks to ClassPass my muscles have traveled the LA fitness studios circuit. This is my zen moment in LA. Get rid of stress and anxiety. Perfect for the sore muscles from crossfit, spin, and barre. The heat with the soundtrack and lights was complete heaven.
Nikka was so calm and reassuring, don’t miss her class.

Love-​Hate relationship with Aura.
Positives:
–FREE PARKING (which is like «OMG, really? so cool!!» in LA). No valet, no parking tickets to be validated BS, simply free underneath the bright blue sky with a cool panoramic view of LA. Bonus, spotted a dessert shop in the same structure. Nice!
–Friendly, nice, welcoming staff.
–Instructors are very good (few exceptions, see below).
–You can sign up for classes online, which is nice but this also has a downside (see below).
Negatives:
–Apparently, very few people sign up for the class online and you have no idea how full the class is going to be. Like today, I went to Aree’s class (more on her later ha!) only 3 people signed up online and thousands showed up. It is a smallish room that gets stuffy fast and smells bad bc everyone’s sweating. Today’s class was SO cramped that the guy’s foot in front of me kept getting in my face. SO GROSS!!! There’s no limit to how many people can take a class. NOT FAIR to the people who signed up in advance. I left the class in the middle of it, just couldn’t take it anymore. I couldn’t breathe!
–Aree is a sweetheart. She’s friendly but sometimes focuses WAY too much on socializing with her friends than teaching yoga. The music often gets louder than her voice, and you can’t hear or see her in a cramped class. I was lost multiple times today and I’ve been practicing yoga for years (not a newbie). I think it’s fine to socialize before or after class but during it, please focus more on your job than making sassy comments and turn that music down a bit!
I have trial 10 classes by Gilt city and unfortunately, won’t be buying any more. If there was a way to tell in advance how full the class is going to be, I probably would. I get clausterphobic with way too many sweating people in 1 small room with some guy’s nasty ass feet in my face (they smelled terrible, btw). There are so many other places in the city, so we all have other options. Pretty good place, but not good enough for the price. Sorry!

SO IN LOVE WITH AURA YOGA. This is such a magical studio and truly unique. I’ve only taken their Slow Flow Restorative and Chakra Restorative classes, both are truly amazing especially if you work out intensely. Chau is an amazing teacher, she has great energy and leads a well balanced class.
The studio is in a great location with A LOT of free parking, super easy.
