I cannot say enough positive things about Brilliant Earth. From our initial contact and communication about what we were looking for, to the day of our appointment with Ian, to picking up the ring (done ahead of schedule!) everything was easy and informative.
They have an amazing selection and we were able to find THE ring and diamond that day. They walked us through everything to know about diamonds, and helped us find the best stone for our ring, being incredibly honest about what was most important from a gem standpoint while respecting and staying within our budget.
The ring came in about a week early and were able to move our appointment for pick up to the next day!
We had looked at several other jewellers, and none of them had the same selection of styles, our could offer the detail and design we were looking for. On top of that, everything is ethically sourced, and they use all recycled metals for the settings, helping protect the environment. Brilliant Earth provided us with a perfect ring and a great experience without compromising our values.
We will be returning for wedding bands.

I made sure to drop a few hints to my now fiancé that blood diamonds are a no go for me. Finally after 5 years he popped the question with a willow engagement ring! He made sure to keep Brilliant Earth’s literature about being beyond conflict free so I could peruse in my free time. I did and I was so thrilled with the company I had to go back for a wedding ring. We made the trip from San Diego to Los Angeles and met Grace. She was great! Funny, knowledgeable, and helpful. After sitting through my brief indecision she helped me purchase my ring and told me more about the company. Did you know even though they don’t cause harm diamond mining themselves they still donate back to communities hurt by diamond mining?! So great! So I purchased my ring and that was it I thought, but no! Grace even emailed me to follow up and ask me what I thought of my ring! I was so shocked, I never run across a company that actually follows up just because! I’m totally in love with Brilliant Earth and those jewels they sell! ;) 5 stars for sure!!!

Amazing jewelry, ethically sourced and amazing customer service. What more could you want? Absolutely love my willow engagement/​band set customized with emeralds and diamonds. They made customizations easy and if there are any problems they are amazing at fixing them.

We met with Audrey and she was amazing!!! The sweetest, patient and most helpful expert. We had a great experience and it was so easy! Best decision we made! Love that they are conflict free diamonds and donate 5% of their profits!

I worked with Tim during this whole process and he was great. He answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease with my decision. The only thing I can say that was a negative was that they accidentally shipped to my place when I wanted it shipped to a post office. But I was able to call customer service and it was corrected quickly.
The showroom visit was really great because it gave my fiancée a chance to look at the different types of rings. Tim did a great job showing us the different types of setting and diamonds. I knew nothing about diamonds or rings beforehand but I got a first hand tutorial on everything I needed to know.
The ring itself is great. Most important thing is that my fiancée loves it. I got her a 1.3 lab created diamond on a lotus setting, yellow gold. All I can say right now is that the quality of the ring is awesome and haven’t got any complaints.
Thank you Brilliant Earth on making the process smooth and giving me the ring my fiancée really wanted. She tells me everyday that the ring is her dream ring! We will be getting our wedding bands through Brilliant Earth as well, we believe in their mission and are lucky to have found such an amazing company.

Overall Experience: Politely failed to earn my business by changing terms and conditions 4 times in the course of one week.
I stopped in to see some of BE’s contoured wedding bands to match up or have custom designed to fit my fiancée’s engagement ring, a custom made piece. They graciously accommodated me though I did not make an appointment. Grace and another associate showed me around 5 options, 3 of which I liked — all of which would take 6 weeks to custom contour. The associate then brought in one of their newest designs. When held together with my fiancée’s ring, it sat flush and looked amazing. They let me know I could order that ring as-​is on the site, and if the sizing difference affected the contour, I could return the non-​custom ring.
Showed my fiancée, she loved it, so went to the site. Had to call to order — no big deal. Confirmed for delivery 3 weeks out. The next day I receive a call from Grace at work, couldn’t take it so she emailed to let me know the ring actually WAS final sale. I asked if accommodations could be made as the only reason we would return/​exchange was if contour was off in new size.
Grace emailed again later letting me know I actually would need to have custom work done, confirming this would not affect PRICE or TIMELINE, same delivery date. I would just need to bring the ring in and send it off for contouring.
Finally, this morning, getting ready to drop the ring off, I get a call. It’s Grace — I was again quoted incorrect info. The contour would now take a full 4 – 6 weeks, and likely cost more. She scheduled a consultation for this afternoon. A Custom Design manager (I think that was the title, roughly) and Grace met with me and thanked me for coming, but did not apologize. The CDM told me it would cost another 33% above the original cost to have the ring made, taking 4 – 6 weeks. My wedding is in 6 weeks. So no.
Disappointing and time wasting. Friendly people, and one or two misunderstandings happen, but literally 4. Worst part? Showed my fiancée and now we start over.

I first started working with Brilliant Earth because my soon to be fiancé saw the ring of her dreams in an antique store, where I secretly took pictures of it and told her that we should keep shopping around. In my mind, I knew that it was the ring that I wanted to get her. About a month later, after some careful planning, I managed to slip away from her for an evening to go back to the same antique store, but sadly the ring had been sold. I was devastated.
After discussing with Briliant Earth employee Justine McCanna, and after showing her the pictures, she said that Brilliant Earth would easily be able to customize the ring for me, and even adjust some specifc pieces of the ring to better suit our needs. This was everything I wanted to hear and more. Over the course of the following months, Brilliant Earth has been in discussions with me about sizing, portions, and providing updates every step of the way. It was an amazing experience to watch the ring turn from design drawings into something that I could see and touch over the course of a couple of months. I am very grateful for all that Brilliant Earth has to offer, and I highly recommend shopping here. If you found the ring of your dreams, but now it is nowhere to be found, you just found it. Brilliant Earth will bring it to life.

My husband and I were young and broke when we first got married, so my rings were rather plain for the first few years. We always said we’d look into upgrading, and so last year, I started researching jewelers. I wanted ethically sourced gems and diamonds, so I stumbled upon Brilliant Earth. I don’t live nearby, but I was okay with ordering online as long as they were reliable and had good reviews. Finally, after a year of saving, we were ready to order my ring. I had such a positive experience with all the wonderful consultants at Brilliant Earth. They worked with us on our budget and our preferences, and I felt completely respected and taken care of.
We selected the white gold willow set (engagement ring and wedding band) with a lab created blue sapphire center stone. It was scheduled to take a few weeks for delivery. My Brilliant Earth ring arrived 3 days earlier than was estimated, which was perfect timing, because we actually got it right before going out of town. It’s gorgeous, just what I wanted. It’s dainty, yet unique and classic at the same time. I love that it’s ethically sourced, and I can wear my beautiful ring not wondering about its origin.

The proposal was AMAZING! My now Fiancé says the ring I got her is PERFECT! I sought advice from her closest friends and mother but all I got was that she would like a ring picked out by her future husband and to be unique. Up to that point, all I knew was that she loves rose gold jewelry even though she doesn’t wear much jewelry and her values directly matched those of Brilliant Earth from my research regarding Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability efforts.
So with all that, I contacted Tim Sullivan from Brilliant Earth who assisted me consistently for almost 1.5 months in picking out the right diamond cut, clarity, color, and carat, as well as the setting best for the diamond which I thought would look great on my Fiancé. The ring came on the exact day it was projected to come and was packaged as I wanted for safety reasons. We are going to order the wedding bands as well from Brilliant Earth in the next few months as we plan our wedding and aim to communicate with Tim as we go.

Before I ramble on about my whole process I would just like to highlight their customer service as it really is top notch which warrants a five star review. In particular, it was Katy and Allison who tag teamed to help me throughout the whole ordeal. Never once (maybe once but I was warned) did they not answer my phone call within their working hours. They listened to my wants and explained everything to me very clearly. They responded quickly and also accommodated me in the delivery date.
The process was not without hiccups but it did work out. So anyway…
I first heard about BE from a coworker of mine who had friends who bought their engagement. I spent months deciding where I would make my purchase from and settled upon BE because of their mission. I took the time to read through all the information they provided on their website and if beyond conflict free diamonds are what you want then look no further!
So once I was sold on their mission statement, I went ahead to build the ring. I settled on a setting and was in search of a diamond which was not an easy task. This was when I decided to call and speak to someone which ended up being Katy, She assisted me in finding the right diamond to fit my budget. On days where she was not in the office it was Allison who took over and she was well informed of my case.
This was where the hiccup came in and that was the fact that the diamond picked ended up not being eye clean which I assume does happen from time to time. Again, Allison helped me with a replacement selection. Anyway, no sweat, I chose another diamond and they moved forward with the production.
The second hiccup was when the diamond chipped during production. Oh no! Except Katy was prepared with a diamond which was similar in the Cs… however, it was bigger and better in clarity. It was slightly more expensive, but I wasn’t charged anything extra and production went forward without a hitch.
Anyway, the important thing is that my fiancé loves the ring and the diamond looks great. It sparkles a lot! It even comes in a great wooden box.
Overall, my fiancé and I are extremely satisfied with the product and I am extremely satisfied with how Katy and Allison guided me throughout the process.

When my now husband started asking about what I wanted in an engagement ring my # 1 requirement was that it be conflict free. We started searching for conflict free diamonds and came across Brilliant Earth. We loved the companies vision and policies, not to mention beautifully, designed rings. Feeling hesitant of buying a *diamond* ring online we made a trip to the San Francisco location.
Danielle helped us create a gorgeous ring within our budget. She never made us feel pressured to buy or spend more. The experience was delightful from start to finish and we couldn’t be happier with our purchase. I am looking forward to visiting this (Los Angeles) location in the future.

I purchased an engagement ring online from BE. My fiancé proposed to me the end of March using a family wedding ring (his grandfather’s), as it had a lot of meaning to him — it represented for him one of the happiest and longest lasting marriages he’d ever known, and he wished we would have the same. He also knew that I’d greatly enjoy choosing my own ring :)
After looking at several local stores and online websites, Beyond Earth seemed to be the only one that had the flexibility I wanted. I had no desire for a diamond engagement ring, and many other places only offer that — which limited my search greatly. Thankfully, I found the BE website and immediately fell in love with many of their rings. I enjoyed being able to choose a loose gem and add it to any mount I wanted. After going through several possibilities, my heart was set on one of their customized ring mounts, and a teal colored sapphire. I contacted customer supper and the wonderful Justine responded!
After going over the details, I waited. and waited. and was soo patient (not really) but my ring finally arrived 2 days ago, and I couldn’t be happier. We had a mini re proposal in bed in the morning (the package came early, so I woke up my fiancé), and I’ve been wearing it since. It’s perfect!

Vanessa really knew her inventory and was an easy conversationalist. I brought both my mom and boyfriend with me, and she was very accommodating. They ask you specifics when you book your appointment (i.e. your preference for stone, budget, etc), and Vanessa really kept to our budget.
It was overall an excellent experience, and I’m definitely coming back to look at more and order my ring!

It is no surprise to me that BE has a 5 star rating. If I had only two words to describe my experience working with Tim and the BE team in WeHo it would be impeccable and incredible.
BE’s ring designs are stunning, their customer experience is flawless and to put the icing on the cake — they have amazing corporate values.
After shopping at BE we went to a few other stores, some in DTLA but no other jeweler designs could compare to the elegance and simplicity of BE. Once I tried on a few of the rings, I could not get them out of my head.
Tim, the General Manager, taught us everything we needed to know about diamonds in a relaxing, one-​on-​one setting with zero sales pressure.
I thought that because BE is so close to Beverly Hills, has the best designs, has the best customer experience, is a retail store instead of a wholesaler and their diamonds are beyond conflict free that I would be paying extra for all of these attributes.
It felt like winning the lottery when I was able to find my dream ring at BE in an affordable price range that beat out any wholesaler price.
It is amazing when you find a company that beats their competition by a landslide in all the important categories: customer service and experience, price, value, and quality and aesthetics. I imagine that just like companies like Google and Zappos, people will start writing books about the awesome success at BE.

Nicole Martin helped me order engagement bands for my partner and I, she helped with sizing, and made sure they were ready in time for the proposal. The fact that they’re environmentally conscious was a huge plus as well. I would recommend them to anyone.

Brilliant Earth is phenomenal! Not only is the jewelry beautiful, well-​made and accompanied by fantastic customer service, but it’s ethical. From start to finish, the whole process was great and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
My fiancé and I got engaged the weekend before our appointment to go to BE. Kendra was the associate who answered my call and saw me through from start to finish. Because I was interested in sapphires and particular about what I wanted, she encouraged me to send links of the stones and bands I liked so she could ensure to have as much on hand to show me in person for my appointment. I had a very lengthy list which grew over the course of the week before the appointment.
She really came through by obtaining all the sapphires and bands I displayed interest in. In addition to providing the gems and bands, she also provided incredibly helpful feedback that played into my ultimate decision. I never felt rushed as I slowly but surely started narrowing down my options until I had it down to my gem and band, but couldn’t decide between white gold and rose gold. Kendra provided a professional, experience based, opinion on what the product would end up looking like after being crafted… you don’t realize how difficult it is to imagine something when you’re looking at the two separately (plus they didn’t have the rose gold version of the band in house). She advised that the rose gold would bring out a pinkish tone to the gem and be a more fluid piece, while the white gold would make the gem stand out. She was right.
After 2.5 weeks of total impatience (because I was just DYING to see how it would turn out), I finally got to see the ring. The day before being shipped out, I grew concerned about not being home when it was delivered or the idea of it being lost on the truck. Allison in their customer service department helped me and was super quick to respond to my concerns. She happily found me a solution and changed the route at the very last minute to ensure that I could pick it up from a secure FedEx location and not have to worry. Total stress/​life saver (thank you SO MUCH, Allison!!).
My fiancé made me promise not to open it until he got home so we could look at it together. He ended up doing a mini re-​proposal that was adorable and gave us an extra cute moment to remember fondly. You think that by not having the ring picked out before the proposal you’ll be denied this moment but that clearly was not the case. Just like most couples, I got to see my fiancé on one knee with the cute wooden box open to showcase the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen.
There was no way I could have pictured how it would look until I actually saw it. The rose gold color shines through the stone, giving a more pinkish tone that looks completely different depending on the lighting you’re in (sapphire ranges from looking yellow, to champagne, to pink just by walking indoors or into a shady spot). I legitimately could not be happier with how it turned out. Even my fiancé, who didn’t have a whole lot of opinions or feedback on what I should get (just wanted me to pick something I would be happy with forever) couldn’t help but notice and comment on how beautiful it was.
The result of working with BE? A totally gorgeous and conflict free piece of jewelry that is completely ME and reminds me every day that I get to marry my best friend. No one out there is going to have a ring that looks just like this and I can sleep soundly at night knowing that the people who took part in the creation of my ring were treated fairly and ethically. Kendra at Brilliant Earth did everything in her power to make that a reality for me.

After doing so much research online, I had the chance to visit Brilliant Earth and got in touch with two of their great associates. Not only did they help me find the best band for my diamond, but they were able to help me with finding the correct diamond for my ring.
We absolutely love the ring, love the size, love the quality. I purchased an engagement ring and a custom hand engraved wedding band. Great!

My finance purchased my engagement ring from BE and I love it. He told me it was wonderful working with the company, was very pleased with how quickly the ring arrived, and loved that the jewelry was ethically sourced. We are out of state and the whole process was done online/​over the phone. Since I loved the engagement ring so much, I turned to BE to make a custom wedding ring to perfectly fit my engagement ring. This worried me a bit, since I was not able to see the wax version in person, but it worked out perfectly. I was very pleased with the team and the whole process was completed from design to shipment in less than a month. They used CAD images and editing the ring using those images was very simple. The final product was beautiful and competitively priced for a custom piece of jewelry. I couldn’t be happier!

After visiting half a dozen jewelers in Los Angeles, we drove up to San Francisco and met with Ashley (the showroom in L.A. was not ready yet). I had sent links of some rings I was interested in. I appreciated how there was no pressure. I don’t wear jewelry so I didn’t even know what my ring size was. Ashley kindly guided me through my selections and then showed me the Calla ring. I really appreciated her showing me the diamonds in the natural light.
The ring was picked up at their new location in L.A. It really was a fun experience with NO PRESSURE («there was another couple this morning looking at that same ring «is what I heard from other places… sigh.)
