History
Established in 1999.
Caryn West established Caryn’s Space for Actors in West Hollywood in 1999. She has also taught at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Michael Howard’s Studio in NYC for 15 years 1995– 2010, the School for Film and Television (both in NYC), the Stella Adler Academy in LA, been a guest lecturer for California Institute for the Arts, the Sag Conservatory, the BFA programs at Syracuse University, the MFA programs at California Institute of the Arts, the American Conservatory Theater, UC Irvine, and USC’s School for Cinematic Arts and coached privately both in LA and NYC since 1986.
She is a past member of the Interact Theatre Co., the Classical Theater Lab and the famed Riverside Shakespeare Company in NYC.

CARYN WEST as an actress has numerous memorable credits in theater as well as many film and television credits (see IMDB) But teaching folks to avoid her youthful mistakes and to learn the current trends, while retaining true art in their craft, gives her a higher purpose she is grateful for.
Directing: A participant in the AFI’ s Directing Workshop for Women, she wrote/directed the 35 mm short, «Here Dies Another Day» (1997) (starring Oscar nom/Tony winner John Randolph and Nashville’s Judith Hoag– 2nd prize at the ’97 Palm Springs International Short Film Festival & ’97 Academy Award consideration), won at Worldfest/Charleston a Best Of Fest ’98 Rhode Island Film Festival,& 20 other festivals. B.A. in Film/Drama from Stanford and an M.F.A. from Temple
