I checked in late, so I had small bites with the happy hour menu. The Magarita was super delicious! And the buffalo wings were amazing! Usually buffalo wings are over seasoned with a sticky texture that I m not very found of, however the buffalo wings here have the perfect crisp and flavor. I would love to return next time and try their full menu.

The food was nice although it was understaffed, I felt sorry for our waiter as he was the only waiter working for the bistro on a Sunday morning. He managed fairly well, though. It’s clean and fairly priced, better than other hotel restaurants I’ve endured in the past but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here if I had the choice.

Worst Service Ever We were a party of 8 and were the only ones in the small restaurant. Only 3 people’s orders were correct, and every bill was wrong. From the time we sat down to the time we finally were able to settle our bills, it took over 2 ½ hours. Food was okay; nothing special; certainly not worth 2 ½ hours.

The food was great! However, the waiter was very rude. He didn’t even made eye contact with us when he saw us sitting down at the table already. We had to ask them where we can sit. After a few minutes of sitting down we were still waiting for the menu. Finally we just had to ask for it. Waiter did not offer us the menu nor said hello. Then we ordered drinks n took awhile to make them and not worth it for the price we ordered it.

Christian was our waiter. Granted we had a party of 13, but we were literally the only people in the restaurant. Horrible service. We asked for heat lamps and never got them. We got our appetizers w/our meal. One of the girls never got her food. Their excuse was that they had a room service order. Ridiculous! I will never come back here. Horrible!!!

Not sure if this is an actual restaurant. Seemed more like a bar with some tables where you can sit to eat. One wouldn’t probably venture here unless they(or someone they knew) were staying at the hotel. Food’s average, on the pricier side(advice: you can order off the lunch menu even at night and I felt the choices were better and less expensive). Ahi tuna salad(off the lunch menu) was all right — better deal than the ahi tuna platter.

Quality and quantity were spot-on! The service extremely polite, and the server made stellar recommendations for the skirt steak and braised short ribs; both were cooked to perfection with a delicious set of sauces! We were allowed to change the side items of both meals to suit our tastes as well! We would return to this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to enjoy a peaceful, lightly trendy(not too overwhelming), yet genuinely amazing French-fusion meal. Thank you, Chamberlain!

My partner and I stayed there for New Years 2010, and two couple friends of ours also stayed there. Prior to moving to San Francisco, I lived in West Hollywood for 7 years, so I was familiar with the area. Its a great hotel and its in a great location. You can easily walk to places, and the Hybrid car service is amazing. They deliver the car and they will pick it up. And, the car rental was very reasonable… cheap for a hybrid. I really enjoyed the style and décor of the hotel. I used all of the complementary soaps and products, which were excellent and high quality. The sofa and bed was very comfortable, and it was very quiet. We didn’t eat at the hotel, but we did have some drinks at the bar, which was convenient to meet up with friends and begin our night. Also, the staff was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. There’s no doubt that I recommend the Chamberlain to others, and we will definitely stay at Chamberlain again when we visit LA soon.

A few friends of ours were in town this weekend staying at the hotel. Firstly we had never heard of this place and were quite excited to see this refurbished hotel as it would be useful to recommend when friends and family are coming into town. OK the hotel looks great but the bistro… Our friends decided to eat in the bistro as our recommendation was in the opposite direction, when we walked down into the place it looked great. Certainly a cool bar! We were seated at one of the tables, only one other table was occupied. We looked through the menu(which was actually quite difficult as the room was so dark), the menu is split into breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dinner section was actually quite small but we were assured we could order from any of the menus. There were 6 of us in the party, 2 order the burger’s off the lunch menu, 2 ordered the Lamb medallions also off the lunch menu and myself and another ordered the $ 35 steak. The food came, I was quite surprised to see my steak was sliced into section, not normally how a $ 35 steak is served. It was so difficult to see what you were eating I couldn’t make out the meat from the fat on the steak(and unfortunately there was quite a lot of it, the meat really wasn’t good at all). The Lamb Medallions were just above lukewarm when they arrived and had to be send back to be re-heated. When they came back to the table the number of medallions had decreased! The only saving grace was the burgers that were excellent, the rest of the food was sub par to say the least. We spoke to the waitress who to be honest could not have been nicer about it, she took off the Lamb Medallions from the bill and gave us a free round of drinks. She really was very sweet and apologetic. Based on the food I received I would give it a one star, only for the waitress I bumped it up another star to 2. If they can sort the food out here this would be a really cool place to have a few quiet drinks and dinner tucked away between Sunset and Santa Monica Blvd. We will come back, only for the burger though!

The Chamberlain is one of my favorite local boutique hotels for those weekends you just need to get away without getting away … but often overlooked is their fabulous little restaurant for brunch and cocktails. For those weekends that a meal is about as far away as you’re gonna get, sneaking into the chic Chamberlain for brunch(from 7a-2p), is a great way to pretend. The nouvelle American menu is limited but everything is fresh, beautifully prepared and presented. Sitting in the dining room bathed in serene teals and blues, or on the palm lined patio, a glass of champagne(or three), will have you feeling like you’re a million miles away in no time. Despite the warnings that the restaurant is for hotel guests only, I have yet to run into any problems valeting the car out front and walking right in to get a table. Just smile and relax(which isn’t hard to do once you get past those doors), and you’ll have no problem either :)

French fusion to die for! Only guests at the Chamberlain can eat here, but let me tell you — if you stay here definitely eat here or in your bed or by poolside. Limited menu, but everything is delicious. The lamb bolognase with pasta melts in your mouth. For breakfast try the egg white omelet with wild mushrooms — simply heaven.
