David and Williams Marketplace

I couldn’t find the hours of operation listed on their website, so I referenced the Unilocal hours of business which list this place as being open 7 days a week until 10:00pm.
Stopped by the store at 5:30pm this past Sunday. An «Open» sign was visible in the window, but the lights were out and the store was locked.
Not sure if they really weren’t open at that time on Sunday or if they closed up early, but whatever the reason, it was quite the disappointment.

Although popcorn is generally associated with movie theaters and the film industry; the act of popping corn dates back to Native Americans with evidence of the snack existing in Aztec and Peruvian Indian times. It’s safe to say that popcorn in 2014 is much different and is highly revamped from its early days. Where can popcorn lovers celebrate this simple but unique treat? David and Williams Marketplace.
David and Williams is the ideal «go-​to» if you are a popcorn lover and enjoy throwing these kernels in your mouth, making popcorn balls, or settling down with a bowl and a DVD. However, they kick it up a notch with their intense and amazing flavors. Although there are a few other notable establishments offering flavored popcorn (plus grocery store shelves); David and Williams stands out in the mix. From sweet to savory, they have it all!
So, just what exactly can you find? I’m talking: cheddar, fruit mix, Rocky Road, caramel, pretzel & popcorn drizzle, mango, orange, strawberry, strawberry milkshake, banana milkshake, vanilla, double chocolate, lime and chile, plain white, and many others. These come in either small bags or plastic clam shells. The variety seems endless and will blow you away! And believe it or not, but the fruit-​flavors are TERRIFIC! Who knew?! David and Williams also offers some candies, chocolates, and other gourmet foods.
For those who try to minimize their sugar intake, David and Williams is considering expanding their sugar-​free offerings which currently only includes caramel. Hopefully, this happens in the near future!
How was service? The female on duty was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and offered SEVERAL samples. She seemed to truly care about her job and did it quite well. The experience was enjoyable, to say the least. I never felt pressured to either make a purchase or stop asking questions.
Can’t make it to the flagship marketplace? David and Williams has some kiosks in malls including Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks where service is also amazing (although the offerings are naturally more limited).
David and Williams bleeds with passion for popcorn and is a definite must-​try for popcorn lovers (and much better than places like Popcornopolis). So, go on, make the Indians and enjoy popped corn!
