I was saddened last night to see this place is closed. It was the perfect place to get a slice and a couple of cold beers before shows in the area. Dough is not the same and won’t be getting my business.

By far the best service I’ve received here yet. This girl was fantastic. She had us our refills ready and came and cleaned up our table when needed. I’ve had bad experiences at Frankies before but the calzones keep me coming back. This girls wonderful attitude and service will definitely be part of my return. I didn’t get her name but she was great. The calzones are delicious(of course) and their lobster ravioli special was great. Their marinara sauce is to die for. I could just go in there and order a cup or 2. Definitely a yummy experience today.

I’ve been coming here for years. My favorite pizza in all of Los Angeles. Even when I moved out of state, when I would visit to en I had to stop in to get a pie.

Love coming here, especially late. You can feel the nostalgia here and the food is yummy! Mind you, even though I am mostly coming here late after an event, I do not have the munchies as some would think. It’s a great place to stop for a quick slice or order a whole pie. Topping options are good, and slices are quite large. Service could definitely be better. Servers are more interested in being«discovered» as the next big thing, then bringing me a refill. Dine or Dash? Despite the service, I will dine here again. Although, I might have to bring a monologue prepared for the talent I am up against.

good pizza… minus a few stars for bitchy waitress(es). I feared for my life when I asked for a plate. she looked at me as if i were going to kidnap her first born. I actually had to say«nevermind… i dont need a plate» as I arranged a paper napkin in front of me to use instead. whore.

Awesome cheesecake! But I will say this is the coldest I’ve been in California! The A. C was blasting and the fans were on :(Definitely made it hard to enjoy my pizza. Better luck with the outdoor seating?

I always come here after a show at whiskey a go-go or Roxy. and we usually get large with sausage, pepperoni servings good for 6 people, and my god the calzones huge it takes more than a person to finish and everything is delicious. i cant say if its comparable to NY pizza’s because i have not tried it. i mean its quite the drive but its worth it right after a show. there is autographs on the walls, i don’t know who’s autographs there are, but looks cool. enjoyed every time i visit.

Good stuff, no really living in NY gives me a good perspective on what they are claiming and they are right on point. I’m no pizza expert but the pizza was quite delicious and the sausage is crumbled rather than sliced which is the way I like it.

Came here for sunset music fest. They up their prices. $ 32 for a pitcher when they are normally $ 17. Horrible up charges on the«cold» pizza as well. Ridiculous. You’re already getting more business because of the festival and you want to raise your prices?

2×1 small pizza on Mon & Tues. Lunch is always good here — and reasonable. I work on Sunset and enjoy the walk. We always order an entire pizza, so it’s always made to order. Yummy.

Stopped in for a couple of beers before a show at The Roxy. PBR and Coors are $ 3.25, the others are $ 5. I think they had Sam Adams Boston Lager, Blue Moon, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Golden Road Hef. Not an amazing deal, but cheaper than The Roxy.

I would give 5 stars for the pizza itself, but for the poor customer service I will give 4 stars. I have been coming here since I was a wee little girl. I come here to grab a slice after a show at The Whisky or after a show at The Key Club; Or just whenever I’m craving this yummy goodness. This pizza never fails me, it’s thin crusted, overloaded with cheese which I love and just plain delicious! The place is quite small, with autographs of celebrities all over the walls. One thing I need to add though is how these waitresses keep they’re jobs with such a bad attitude. These girls always seem like they’re dog just died or something, always with down faces and a rude attitude. Hey Frankie and Johnnie’s, get some new and improved servers and your place would be perfect! ;)

***This Review is Based on Delivery Only*** I’ve ordered pizza from here more times than I can count. The pizza(pepperoni, garlic, fresh basil — my favorite!) is always delivered hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The pizzas, and the slices themselves, are huge. The crust is always cooked to perfection; not too chewy, not too hard. The food quality and convenience are great, but they lose a star for customer service. I’ve called to place an order and the girl on the phone was short with me. Other times their online ordering has«malfunctioned» and never submitted my order so I’d have to call to confirm and replace my order. If you’re in the mood to order some yummy pizza beyond Domino’s or Pizza Hut, then this is the place! Do be warned that delivery time is usually about an hour from the time you order to when your pizza is delivered. They’ve also been running a «Buy 1, Get 1 Free» special on Monday nights!

I never got around to trying the food because of the stinky customer service. Granted, it was 1:30 A.M. and I could tell the waitress desperately wanted to leave, but we were far from the last ones there. Almost every table was filled and they had already begun using the most intoxicating cleaning supplies known to man. I don’t know how the patrons could stand eating there with the fumes filling the room! My friend ordered a few slices to go since the waitress not-so-kindly told us the dining room was no longer open. Yet it was bustling… but OK. She was clearly perturbed when she informed her co-worker«they’re not ordering anything.» Well, I am sure as hell not ordering anything NOW. I was contemplating helping you by taking some slices from the display so you had less to clean, but forget it. Hmph. I won’t be coming here again.

Anybody giving this place less than a 5⁄5 is just plain blasphemous. This is THEBEST pizza in L. A hands down. There are about 100 pizza places in west hollywood(most of them along the touristy/clubbing areas of hollywood blvd.) Those places prey on unwitting tourists and drunk people who cant tell the difference. This place is nothing like that. Frankie & johnnies pizza tastes sooo good. When i used to drink i appreciated their beer prices as well, a rare thing in west Hollywood. So don’t believe the douches who berate this place, true L. A people know this spot is where its at. Just go in and try a peperoni pizza for yourself. Then come back here and set the record straight. The girls give good service as well. Anybody who says different is full of shit. They are hot 20 somethings from L. A, not your freakin grandmother. There job is to sell you a slice of pizza, not wipe your ass.

$ 11 pitchers of PBR(a drink up the street at the key club cost me $ 10…yes A(singular) drink!) German Chocolate cake was HUGE! I had to share it AND leave some… and I NEVER share or leave cake. Sports Center on TV. A-okay place!

You can’t compare NY pizza to LA pizza. You just can’t. But since you want to name yourselves«NY Pizza» then I must compare. 2– nd in the comparison N– ew york pizzeria set up, small quaint D– ining area. P– asta pizza was pretty delish. Crust needed to be crisper. L– iked the Mushroom slice but it needed more red sauce. A– cceptable as a replacement for NY pizza C– onsider this as good as you’re going to get in LA E– njoyed the atmosphere. Loud place, don’t expect intimacy!

Ya… so been here a few times and had a decent slice of reheated pizza and a cold beer while hitting the local club to see a band play on Sunset. Usually… a decent experience. Quite surprised to find out that actually ordering a fresh cheese pizza would have such dubious results. As we waited for the small, very small NY style thin crust pizza to arrive we chuckled at the ‘celebrity” endorsements scribbled on the walls with a black sharpie. Brody Jenner and Spencer Pratt«heart» their pizza, guess it was when their bromance was going strong. Wonder if the Bro-ster brings Avril here? hahaha The pizza arrives at our table and I think geno’s pizza rolls or bagel bites taste better than what we were served. A sauce bomb with the least amount of cheese possible… so much so that we had to dump generous amounts of grated parm to wake up the pie but that didn’t really help. My friend and I converse and agree, crappiest pizza in recent memory. I have decided this place is clearly only good for reheated pizza by the slice and only AFTER hitting the Roxy, the Rainbow, the Whiskey or the Viper room and only AFTER some adult beverages.

Pizza — A-Ok Nothing special. Waaaaaaay too much cheese on the white spinach and tomato. The crust is mediocre at best. Atmosphere — Not too bad, had a interesting feel to it with all the writings on the wall and a bunch of TVs. Service — Friendly, but not Oscar winning. So for a midnight pizza craving it was ok.
