So my husband has been going to David for about 10 years and he always gets a prescription for his hair. His prescription lasts for 1 year which I don’t know if they know that a year is 12 months. We put in his refill and the pharmacy called us to notify us that David has denied the refill. His prescription lasts until ¾/​16. One.Full.Year. So we called and spoke to Andrea and she said «no problem, I’ll call the pharmacy and have them fill it.» We we’re happy thinking that it had to be a mistake. Moving on. THEN Andrea calls back to tell us that David won’t refill it and that he has to come in and be seen because, and I quote «It’s just a doctor thing, it’s close enough to a year» First of all, he was ok coming in and paying to see this doctor because he literally walks in, says hi, writes the prescription and leaves. He doesn’t administer ANY tests or even evaluates ANYTHING and then charges him $ 60 for the doctors visit (handshake). Pretty unethical. Does he really need my $ 60 a month in advance!!! Headed to a new dermatologist. Don’t go here! Also heard he was in a scandal and giving people fake botox… Google it.

Dr. Hansen is the best dermatological plastic surgeon in LA. Period. And the only person I trust with my face! He is extremely personable, very straightforward and honest and never recommends a procedure unless he thinks it’s really necessary. I feel very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Hansen.

I met Dr. Hansen in August of last year, 2015. I did a lot of research before choosing him. I went to him for my dreaded turkey neck and when I got there we discussed my tummy and abs. This wonderful Dr. not only gave me a beautiful neck but also a flat tummy!!! He is one in a million and truly an artist. He only takes one patient per day so he can give 100 per cent to his patient. There was no pain at all. Afterwards you might be a tad uncomfortable, but that is to be expected. My self confidence is through the roof. Not only an amazing Dr. but a wonderful, kind and caring person. I recommend Dr. Hansen for any changes you want to do to your body. It has been five months since the lipo sculpting and I just get better each day that passes. My friends love the new me and how much I have changed. I am so Blessed for the new outside of my. My inside and outside is a perfect match. I am doing more and getting out and just love life again. Thank you so much Dr. David Hansen.

I am only writing about my consultation experience, so I hesitated for a month or 2 to write a review, but then I realized; even the consultation experience alone is a good thing for patients to know about when considering a doctor, and Dr. Hansen was one of the most friendly lipo surgeons I have met. He has a very warm personality, and he made me feel very comfortable right away; he spent plenty of time with me, even had me stand up so he could take a good look at me, and he started making plans about how he would go about doing my liposuction procedure (this is still at the free consultation!), and he showed me a book full of great-​looking before and after photos from his former patients. He also guessed every question I had before I could even ask it, and then he answered it, at one point asking me; «How am I doing with answering all of your questions so far?» I was very impressed with him, and I only primarily went elsewhere due to the distance between my home and West Hollywood, and also due to the high parking rates at the building he was located in. Dr. Hansen’s prices for his services are very competitive, and if it weren’t for just the parking rates of the building itself, combined with travel distance, I would have been very likely to go with him. But ultimately, I needed a doctor who was closer. I would recommend any potential lipo patients to save Dr. Hansen for a later visit, when comparing lipo doctors. His real self ad states that you can get a very hefty discount if you «book the surgery within 30 days». This will leave you thinking that the 30 days is a whole month to decide on the process, and then to book it at a future date. It is a far more generous length of time to decide on that, than the 1-​day discount deciding time you may find at some other surgeon’s consultations. It is a very generous discount, as you will see yourself, but the «30 days» really DOES mean: schedule the surgery to take place within that time frame, after your free consult. So it’s not as lengthy as it may appear. Take that month of time to weigh your options thoroughly, so you don’t miss out on the generous discount, but book the surgery to take place before the 30 days is up. Also important to note: Dr. Hansen is one of the few lipo doctors who uses the «micro cannula» procedure to do the tumescent liposuction. This procedure benefits the patient greatly, as it contributes to the smoothness of the new form, eliminating the risks that create sagging/​rippled skin and/​or puncture marks that can sometimes be caused by the regular sized cannulas of traditional lipo. It takes a bit longer because the cannulas are so tiny, and the process is a much finer, more detailed process of removing the fat, but from what I’ve been reading online, the results are well worth it.
