History

Established in 2013.

Being an Interior Designer for over 18 years, Jason Scott decided to follow his dream of opening a home furnishings store. He wanted it to be a friendly atmosphere, with great customer service and amazing merchandise at reasonable prices. He wanted clients to be able to come to the store with a picture of an item that they have been wanting, or an idea, or a sketch, and having over 300 manufacturers he works with, he will be able to find that certain piece you have been searching for…

This is: J. Michael Scott Interiors…

Here to serve the public and assist Designers in achieving their design dreams.

Meet the Business Owner

Jason S.

Business Owner

Upon coming in first place out of over 1,000 applicants, J. Michael Scott was awarded a full year paid scholarship to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). It is there that he studied for two years and graduated with a degree in Interior Design in 1996.

Once graduated from FIDM, J. Michael Scott began his career designing model homes for home builders. For over six years he worked at a large interior design firm in Southern California. After that, he decided to move on to residential & commercial design.

Doing this for about a year, J. Michael Scott yearned for the fast paced and creative world he was accustomed to and went back to his first love of model home design. Four years later, after winning numerous design awards for jobs he worked on while at the firm he was currently employed, he began to get restless. With personal clients and family and friends encouragement, he decided to take a leap of faith and venture out on his own.
