Knoll at Le Parc

Good food quick service. Staff was very friendly and overall we had a great experience.

Very comfy place to have breakfast. I cannot speak about dinner or lunch.
They have about 10 tables, some very comfortable chairs, and the room is set up as almost a bed and bath. The service was friendly, though it was rather quiet the morning we ate there.
There is a full bar, but it appears the server and bussboy also act as the bartenders, evident when I noticed them pouring a drink and saw the automatic stop (to measure the correct amounts of liquor). Wasn’t bad, but certainly wasn’t something i’d want if ordered something more than a simple drink.
I’d eat here again, nothing bad to say.
The only downside is, you have to put the bill on your room’s bill, rather akward if there is more than one person staying in a room, though I can see how it would be convenient, but this should really be an OPTION rather than required.

After a long weekend in Vegas, my friend and I used our last remaining energy to check into Le Parc, and the very last of our last remaining energy to get dinner in Knoll.
Having grabbed food on the go around Vegas, we were looking forward to a ‘real’ meal. Having chosen a bottle of red from the bountiful wine list and having been served the warm bread with a fig spread and a cheese spread, we were off to a great start!
My Calamari with sun dried tomato aioli appetiser was excellent and Mark’s Mixed Kebab was superb. The grilled mains that we went for were the Fillet of Beef with roasted garlic-​herb butter and Stilton potato ring and the perfectly grilled Lamb Chops with white beans, grain mustard and balsamic glaze. The standard of both of these dishes was amazing.
Most of the other patrons were old ladies… it seems that Knoll also serves as God’s waiting room. Most of the same seniors were actually in there most nights — actually a very positive sign and very sweet too!
My only gripe about the place is that the TV is always on — kinda spoils that laid-​back vibe, but as Knoll also doubles as Le Parc’s bar, I guess that is the trade-​off.

We saw Knoll at the Le Parc Suites in West Hollywood listed on Gridskipper as one of the most romantic dining spots in town, due to its views of the Hollywood Hills. And at $ 75 for the couple on Valentines Day, the price wasn’t bad.
The food was actually quite tasty. but the service and ambience was some of the oddest I’d ever seen.
The Food:
three courses: odd salad or tomato/​crab bisque, filet mignon or salmon, strawberry tart or chocolate cake
— SO said the salad wasm’t so good. The bisque was very good, though. Tomato base with fresh crab sprinkled on top — more of a tomato bisque with crab on top than a crab bisque though.
The filet was very well-​cooked and came with delicious fried risotto cakes.
Dessert was weak– the strawberry tart was over refrigerated, and ended up being difficult for us to eat because the crust was so hard. The chocolate cake thing had a vile cream sauce poured on it.
There were only 2 staffers in the restaurant, which was not terrible given there were only about 12 tables. But it was odd that the busboy was also the bartender and the waitress was also the hostess. It was also odd that the curtains were drawn shut, so you could not see the wonderful view at all. The starter bread came with a delicious goat cheese spread and a fig jam, but both were brought to the table with saran wrap still covering each dish, which we had to remove ourselves.
It also was clear that although we were only rpesented with the prix fixe menu, other people were somehow able to order off the regular a la carte menu.
They did, however, give us a coupon for 15% off our bill next time.
The piece de resistance would have to be the music/​television playing in the restaurant. Totally inappropriate pop music was playing, and there was a TV showing TBS. What movie was showing on TBS at our Valentine’s Day Dinner? «The Break-​Up»
I’d go back for a non-​special occasion, but Knoll is not a fine dining experience.
