Livingston’s Nails & Express Spa

Whoop whoop Livingston’s is awesome! The mani/​pedis are really well done and the girls are all super sweet. They have been happy to fix a nail emergency for me when I didn’t have time for more. They’ll hurry if you’re in a rush or let you chill when you have time to relax. Treat yourself to a pedicure here… the chairs alone are not to be missed!

Not happy. Went in to get my nails done during the evening time and seemingly had a pleasant experience, only later really realising how poor of a job was done. My nails have already chipped and weren’t event fully painted. It was such a light colour so I didn’t notice immediately until in daylight. I honestly could have painted them better myself and especially for how costly it was. :(

I have never written a Unilocal review but I felt the need to for this place. Not only was my manicure and pedicure so overpriced, but it was by far the worst job I have ever gotten. My pedicure has already started chipping after 3 days, and my gel manicure has too. I don’t even think they did the gels correctly. I’m so upset I spend $ 60 on a crap job. I have never spent that much on a mani pedi in my life and feel completely robbed. I live in the neighborhood and didn’t have time to go to my usual place on Robertson. When the lady told me the total, I was in shock. She said it was more expensive because it’s «clean» and everyone there is licensed. the place I go to is not only clean and licensed, but it’s cheap too AND they do a way better job!!! I will NEVER go back!

Carolyn was sweet and did a great job on my pedi. Of course, massage chairs are awesome, and I liked that they offered me a bottle of water during my service. They also gave me a free three minute shoulder rub for checking in on Unilocal.
Excellent color selection, including a ton by CND (which lasts forever). I’ll be back!

They took credit cards so I walked in. They took me right away and the pedicure was done in reasonable time. And it came out nice. But for $ 10 – 15 less I can get the same thing at cheaper salons. Saw signs outside offering complimentary massages and beverages but there was none offered to me. Also not many color choices. :(in a pinch I might come back…

I was visiting from New York and needed a quick mani and found this place randomly. I was thrilled with the results and the service! I had the CND 7 Day «no chip» polish and it really did last about a week and looked great. I highly recommend this salon! I wish I had time for a pedi — next time!

I love this place! They do great gels! Super friendly and detailed oriented along with a very relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend Liz she is FAB!

Went to this Nail Salon on Saterday May 3^rd 2104^th. I was treating so poorly. As soon as I walked in the door they started speaking loudly in there language and didnt speak to me. I was dressed well, I was polite and no one wanted to help me. The owner asked me where I lived. I stated Long Beach. There were two open seats available and no one wanted to help help me. My feelings were hurt they were rude. The place is extremely small. And the workers very judgmental.

Pretty good! The $ 18 basic manicure with CND polish held up for almost 2 weeks with only minimal chipping (although I’m not sure how much of this is due to the polish itself versus the application.)
The salon is really cute, and I loved that I could walk-​in on the weekend. However, they are EXTREMELY aggressive about upselling you and are very vague about how much these upsells cost.

Checked out this nail salon this weekend and was so excited to see that they offer CND nail poslish! This makes such a difference in your manicure and will usually last around 7 days. They have about 5 choices of colors and are ordering more. The atmosphere here is relaxing and lovely. A step up from your average nail spa. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I didn’t absolutely love my manicurist. She was ok but got quite a bit of the red paint on my cuticles. I would go back and ask for someone else. $ 18 for a manicure that will last a week is a good price in mind!

I LOVE Livingston nails. The location could not be anymore perfect located right on Sunset Blvd. The owner Luke is incredibly nice and all the staff really caters to the guests needs. They make the experience super relaxing with a free glass of wine or bubbly. They have awesome and creative ways to make your nails look super hip. The massages they give do wonders for my body and I truly feel like I’m at the spa. The best part of all is that you get a free toe ring on the way out. I’m a regular here and I love how they make an effort to remember my name. 5 stars all the way!

Awesome nail salon! I Love the relaxing beautiful décor & atmosphere. They have the best massage chairs that actually work :) the staff is very friendly and the lady that did a great job on my pedi! Definitely coming back here!

Brought my GF here for her birthday as a surprise… The place is really upscale and elegant. Made me feel like a good bf for bringing her to such a nice salon :)
The service at this place was outstanding and even had the chance to meet the owner who made sure I felt welcomed… even though at first I wasn’t going to get anything I decided to join my gf and got pedicure and it was definitely very relaxing and worth every dollar!
She is now a regular and Now i always recommend this place to my friends :)

Gilt City brought me here on the Saturday before Easter. I had a certificate for a manicure/​pedicure and happened to be in the neighborhood, so I called to see if the salon had any availability in the next 45 – 60 minutes. I didn’t expect to be squeezed in and was not pushy or demanding; I just inquired. The gentleman on the phone said I could come in in 45 minutes, but I wish he had just said they were too busy.
When I arrived, all the chairs (massage chairs with the foot jacuzzis) were taken. I would have waited for one to open up, had I been given the option, but instead my hands were done at a manicure table, while my feet were treated to a plastic-​covered foot basin filled with warm water. My chair was uncomfortable (might have been a «rolly» chair, I remember it moving a lot); I was uncomfortable.
I was the only one having my treatments in this fashion; everyone else I saw had the right timing and got a chair. I had clearly been squeezed in just to get another customer in and out (don’t know if this was related to my mentioning on the phone that I had a Gilt certificate).
The manicure was mediocre and had a chip or two by the next day. The polish on my toes lasted much longer, about 3 weeks, but as I recounted, the pedicure was a serious disappointment. The normal prices seem astronomically high for the service, or any nailwork, really.

I get in on a same day appt and receive a warm welcome from the friendly receptionist in this beautiful, clean nail salon. Good start!
Unfortunately it goes a bit downhill from here. Nail polish color selection is so so.
The nail techs are friendly. Onto the work… which is unfortunately truly subpar.
The trimming, cleaning and cuticle work are all utterly underwhelming. Neither tech trimmed the cuticle and skin around the nail beds with any degree of skill. I had to repeatedly ask both women to readdress this. Both nail techs left bits regular old dirt in the corners and under the nails and proceeded to simply paint over it. Really? That’s what «The Regal» a $ 65 mani/​pedi gets you? Paint over nail dirt. Nice!
It really is too bad this place doesn’t yet take as much pride in their actual nail work as they do in the appearance of the lovely storefront.
Will be sticking with Jessica Nails & Style Bar where you can get amazing work. In the meantime, I gotta go home and clean up my nails!
