Majestic Wallpaper Installation And Removal

We are very happy with the work of Majestic Wallpaper. Alex is precise, fast and professional. At first we were worried we may not have ordered enough wallpaper to make the patterns work, but Alex made it work and we are very happy with the result. Our bedroom looks amazing.

Alex made my hair studio into a majestic piece of art. He gets really busy and books out about two weeks in advance, as he should because his work is phenomenal.
When he got to my studio, he looked at the wall, measured it and I guess I gave him the wrong measurements (oops) he proceeded to look at my wallpaper that I ordered from Home Depot (never again) they shipped it in a flimsy box, no padding, not properly cared for. Some of the seams were damaged. Frustrating I’m sure for Alex, but he carried on and did an amazing job. He was pretty quick too!
His work speaks for itself. Wallpaper installation is not cheap. Alex made it worth the money spent. I will definitely be contacting Alex for future projects!

Alex was incredible! My wife is a very particular textile pattern designer and hated the last wallpaper job we got done. Not only did Alex recommend an easy fix on that old job, he did today’s job perfectly in half the time we expected. Our wall was uneven so it wasn’t the easiest job to complete. We knew we needed an expert. Alex showed up early and hit a home run! 5 out of 5 stars!

We have now had two accent walls done by Alex and could not be happier with the results. He is expertly skilled at installing wallpaper, but goes beyond that. Alex took the time to inspect the wall and talk through any potential issues that would prevent the wallpaper from looking its best. He is punctual, professional, clean and courteous. Alex will be our only call for wallpaper as long as we live in the L.A. area!

We recently did a remodel in which we assumed that we would be wallpapering 4 walls. When Alex arrived, we had decided to do only 3 walls, and have a faux finish done on the 4^th.
Alex was prompt, arriving JUST as scheduled, and doing an AMAZING job with the wallpaper. He will not rest unless it is perfect. He was happy that we provided him with quality wallpaper, because a quality job is what he does.
That being said, he is efficient with his time, his tools, and your resources. I cannot STRESS how wonderful the job came out to be.
Then, because the job was a tad smaller than originally planned, he then lowered the price accordingly.
Not only will we be using him for all of our wall covering needs, we will also be recommending him to all of our friends.

This is the experience you dream of when having work done on your home. When communicating with him he asked for a few specifics, quickly gave me an estimate as well as a date and time he could do the job. It wasn’t a weeks-​long process of «phone tag». Everything was set up in one afternoon. On the day of the installation, he was on time, friendly, and personable. Best of all, the work speaks for itself. It is BEAUTIFUL. He did an incredible job! He brought me in to show me a few concerns he had with the metallic part of the wallpaper so that there were no «surprises» once the job was finished. It looks amazing. Since it was only an accent wall that we had papered, it really needed to be impeccably done, and it certainly was. Hire him, you will not be disappointed! The only reason why I am giving Alex 4 stars and not 5 is because he didn’t actually end up installing any wallpaper– which was MY fault. From the start the communication and professionalism that I experienced with Alex was top notch. He was extremely responsive to all of my emails and called me right away after I sent him my initial inquiry. Alex was on time for our appointment and was very professional but unfortunately I did not order enough wallpaper for him to do the work. Alex was so understanding even though I felt terrible for wasting his time! He assured me that it was no trouble. I am looking forward to seeing Alex’s work in my home and will refer him to friends and family.

I did not have him do my wallpaper installation and this is why.
I explained I needed my wallpaper done ASAP. I have a small wall 6ft by 8ft because I got Wayne’s coating to cover 4 feet of it. No crown molding. I said One single printed paper roll measures 27″ Wide x 15 feet long per single roll. Pattern repeat is 40 inch half drop because I knew this information is important for him.
All in one sentence his quote went from $ 245 to $ 375 the said he had a minimum for coming out $ 100 per roll. It sounded like he was driving or pre occupied. I couldn’t understand what he was trying to tell me. All he had to say was a simple number, $ 400, $ 500, something! Anything but what he was doing, it was so confusing and I was so upset. I told him can you be more specific and he said well if it is exotic wallpaper, fabric, cloth, eat. It’s more.
I said no it’s just regular printed paper wallpaper. Then I asked well if you mess up will u replace the roll and he said no he doesn’t mess up. I didn’t tell him the roll was the Martinique because I knew he would charge me more. So I ok when can u do it? (He sounded very confident even though he quoted me a serval times different I figure with all these good reviews and pictures I would be fine.) Then he said he could not do it till the end of July. It’s June 9^th. I said that not going to work for me. I meannnn The very first sentence I said was «Hi I was wondering if I could get a quote on wall paper installation, I need it done ASAP! it’s a small wall ect…»
ASAP means as soon as possible not in a month. I mean maybe in relation to a 10 year span 1 month is ASAP. But, I’m 26 and this is LA… ASAP means you wish it was already done but u can wait 2 weeks.
He should have said from the beginning. I understand you would like to do this as soon as possible but I wont have time available until the end of July. Would you still like a quote?
That would have been so nice and I would never have written a review of my experience with this company.

I ordered a custom mural from an artist and needed someone professional to install it. Alex was wonderful and did an amazing job! I heard back from him within hours of contacting him and he was able to come in a few days which was convenient. His prices are very reasonable and since the work was less than he expected he quoted me less than his original quote. He was on time, quick and very nice. I would definitely use him again and recommend him!

I had a fabulous experience with Alex and Majestic Wallpaper! I wanted to wallpaper one accent wall, but knew nothing about the topic. During our initial call, Alex walked me through the process and how to measure how much wallpaper I would need. I got a great feeling for him from our conversation, and his bid was less than two others I received. He did an excellent job — thorough, knowledgeable, full of integrity and kind. He ensured everything he did was in alignment with my liking. Point in case — when he put a laser up on my wall to show a straight line, it showed that my wall was crooked (I learned there are no straight walls in LA!!). He recommended that we follow the laser instead of the wall, or the wallpaper pattern would be crooked. He talked me through both options and I felt comfortable with his recommendation, so we went for it, and it looks incredible! Highly recommend, Alex!

I can’t say enough good things about Alex and Majestic Wallpaper. I had one wall that needed to be done. Alex was on time, professional, and actually charged me LESS than the estimate he gave. WHO DOES THAT? (Don’t expect that to happen to you by the way, my wallpaper circumstances were particular.) He certainly could have charged what he originally quoted me and I never would have been the wiser. Really nice guy, super efficient and speedy and the quality is great. He’s been doing it for 28 years so obviously really knows his trade!
I had called a couple other Unilocal places for wallpaper installation but they were more expensive and didn’t have as good reviews.

I found Majestic Wallpaper on Unilocal and I have never been more impressed by an online find. Wow! As an Interior Designer there are few things more valuable than reliable, skilled and quality driven vendors and Majestic Wallpaper has delivered in all arenas.

This was my first experience with wallpaper and Alex did a phenomenal job and was lovely to work with. I am so pleased with how it turned out. He was meticulous and matched our difficult patterns perfectly. I want to do another wall because it looks so great! Thank you, Alex!

The day before the sales person text me he wanted to change the time of our appointment, I said it was fine. He showed up 20 mins late, knocked on the door and when I opened the door he was gone. I text him to see if it was the wallpaper man who knocked on my door and it was. I asked if was coming back and he said yes. Strange. He then simply looked at my ceiling and said, «No, we can’t do this.» He seemed very snobby and explained that my ceiling was not smooth enough and also explained what the word smooth means, thanks for that! He did a quick measure of the room told me it would be $ 900 and he can’t do it because of some divots in the ceiling. He seemed like he didn’t want to be there so, I said thanks and out he scurried. Not sure if he assumed I couldn’t afford his service or what was going on, either way it was a huge waste of time.

Alex returned my call, asked detailed questions, gave me a quote and scheduled the appt. He responded to my confirmation text the day before. Arrived 9 minutes early, engaged in dialogue on design for the install, completed the work, was paid per quote, shook hands and left. The installation is 2 murals and side panels designed by a Russian artist and manufactured in the Netherlands, which we combined for a single wall installation. The problem: I am now trying to restrain myself from covering the entire building with wallpaper murals. Caution: work done on this level can be habit forming.

Alex recently installed our Paintable Damask Embossed Tiles Wallpaper.

You can rest assured he is going to get the job done with ease and in a timely fashion.
We’re so happy with the accept wall he installed in our bedroom. Not only did he get the paintable tile wallpaper up but he also advised us on how to best complete the rest of the project re painting the wallpaper.

Our wife and I were getting a mural wallpaper map of Paris put on our wall (you can see the results among the photos) and we had no idea how to make that happen — until we found Alex.
He’s as professional as they come. He had all the materials and the skills to make sure the wallpaper went up quick and beautifully… even though it seemed like a really tricky project, he did it with ease. He was meticulous, clean and had a keen eye for the artistic side of the project — I appreciated that the man putting up the wallpaper wasn’t just some handyman but a person who could appreciate the work going up on the wall.
We ended up chatting for a while and I can say without a doubt that I’d happily have him come into my house again for any and all wallpapering needs. Call him, hire him and be happy with the results.
[Also, in case this makes a difference to you all — after realizing the project required less time and materials than he initially anticipated, HE LOWERED THE PRICE on the spot, saying he felt bad overcharging me for the work he did. Good man.]

Alex is really amazing. He is very good at what he does, wallpaper installation, but he is very kind and nice person.
It was our first time installing the wallpaper, and we did not know too much about it. Alex was very patient with me and helped me understand all the things I had to know. Before we decided to work with Alex, I called several places, and Alex was the ONLY person who explained everything in details. He was able to accommodate my last minute schedule as well (such a nice guy!!!).
Having someone you never met before at your place working for a day or two could be somewhat uncomfortable for some people. I am like that. Choosing Alex over the other installers was one of the best decision I’ve made, and I really enjoy looking at our beautiful rooms that Alex helped us.

Having just moved into our new home (after a lengthy renovation period), I was really excited to get my wallpaper up. Anyone who has gone through renovating a new home knows how exhausting it can be and how you don’t always get the most pleasant or professional contractors.
Alex was the first installer that I had called and after doing some more research, he was the one I decided to hire, due to his pleasant demeanor over the phone and fair pricing. I couldn’t be happier with his service. Alex was extremely professional and did an amazing job on our two accent walls. He’s very knowledgeable and your pricey wallpaper is in great hands.
