I had the rainbow roll last Saturday night. Tiny roles, didn’t taste fresh. Server took 10 minutes just to bring the water, and another 10 minutes to bring the rainbow roll. Subpar food and subpar service = 2 stars.

This is by far the best sushi restaurant I have ever went to. I shrimp tempura is amazing. First you will have to wait but trust me when I say this the food is worth the wait. The udon is very well made and the soup is very good after a cold night. I highly recommend you to try the shrimp tempura and the rainbow roll.

I found this place in 2003 and have been back every chance I get! The sushi is fantastic!!! Huge pieces of fresh fish and a large selection of rolls. I like to sit by the window in the back for an amazing view but the bar is nice too. I’m not much for the sidewalk seating but some people enjoy it. I just can’t say enough good about this place!

Sushiya is one of the best places in LA for sushi and their cooked Salmon, it’s very fresh and melts in your mouth. The prices are spot on with the quality, location and a huge free parking lot. Can’t wait for dinner tonight!

Love this place! Although it was cold last night eating outside the heat lamps help with warmth. Really enjoy people watching from the street. Food is delicious particularly the Gossy roll and spicy tuna chips. Service is always good! I’ve been here twice and no disappointments!

This is one of my favorite places to go on the Sunset Strip. The food is yummy, the staff is fun, and the people watching is amazing! Plus, there is plenty of parking behind the building, and there is a back entrance that makes it super convenient to enter from the parking lot. Of course, like anywhere in high-profile location in LA, you’re going to pay a little more but if you want authentic sushi for a cheap price, go to Little Tokyo. If you want good sushi, excellent ambiance, and a really fun time, go to Sushiya. Ask for Dee or Beatrice — both were knowledgeable about the menu, good at anticipating our table’s needs, sweet, and entertaining!

Food: so-so Waitress: do not except a smile, receipt, or the change back. Parking: they give out parking tickets left and right. the parking attendant hides when you look for them to fight the ticket. I’m never going back to this restaurant! The worst service ever! I seriously don’t know how they stay in business. Oh yah! The Tourists! Poor them…

Another typical hollywood joint that wants to be high class but just misses the mark. The highly confused menu is neither Japanese, Korean or even Thai making it questionable. The Udon noodles was just average with random things thrown in and chicken breast that is nothing but chicken breast thrown in hot water. So average rating. However, here’s the bad. The tables have this amazing crust of what looks like wax and dead skin cells caked into the weave of the table. Im not sure i want to touch it. Would i come back, probably not.

4 stars for the atmosphere/location. Perfect on a hot Fall night. Confusing LA weather! Very accommodating for our huge party and was just a beautiful night. However, the wait staff made us wait wayyy too long!!! The owner was near us and he seemed cool. Sushi was good but not amazing; then again I didn’t get a special so who knows.

Hands down this is my favorite sushi restaurant, sure it’s overpriced but in my opinion I’m paying for what I eat. Their spicy tuna on crispy rice is my all time favorite. I usually order 2 plates because one just isn’t enough! My second favorite from them is the creamy rock shrimp roll. I highly recommend! I will be back soon Sushiya

So I must love to waste good money because this is my fifth and very last time of visiting this place! I always get enticed by the location as I can not deny the location is spot on. Great for people watching and meeting up with friends. Firstly do not expect service with a smile here… even if you are the friendliest happiest person it will bring you down! I have no idea why the staff are always so rude. The sun is always shining and most of them just hang around the entrance intimidating people! Last time i ordered the Gossy Roll in Cucumber wrap. Which was ok but the filling wasn’t wrapped to the end so two of the end pieces of sushi were just two rolls of cucumber. I think it was about $ 16 for this! not worth it at all. The sushi that we ordered this time was wrapped very loosely in a tiny bit of rice so very difficult to eat and just fell to bits. The chopsticks were well out of a job! They use imitation crab(unless you pay extra for real crab — but at the ridiculous price you pay for the roll in the first place the crab should be real anyway shouldnt it?!). The soft shell crab tasted stale and dry. All of the sushi felt really warm and sickly. All in all not good at all. I love sushi and this place really does give sushi and good customer service a very bad name. Don’t waste your money coming here unless you just want to eat bad sushi but enjoy the brilliant location.

NOTWORTHTHE $$$ I ate here awhile ago and the food was pretty good but nothing special. I decided to give it another go around tonight(for delivery) because it was one of the only sushi places still open for delivery. I went in with an open mind and giving them a second chance but that was the worst idea!!! A few things that turned me off: 1. They use fake crab 2. It is rolled together sloppy 3. 4 rolls and Edamame was $ 70 — they may be «trendy» but the taste doesn’t do any justice.

Always make a stop here when In La. It’s more at the end of sunset away from Hollywood. The waitress are always cute, majority hoping to be the best big actress. They have out door seating with heat lamps on the side walk, love it Bin bin roll is my favorite, a must try. The philly roll is good but feel like gets smaller each time I try it.

Sushi Bar in L. A. Durchaus lecker. Immer frisch. Japanisches Bier: Kiri, Asahi und SAPPORO! Mir hat es chicken teriyaki angetan und SUSHI. Wenn in der Gegend, Besuch lohnt sich.
