I really was scared, because I am a 60 year old disabled person with limited income. I called just to ask a question. My husband recently had a stroke which caused brain damage. My adult daughter and her family lives in Washington and once a month I send them a package in the mail with just gifts for my kids. My husband was sending out a package to a friend. I put in a aquarium pump, which I paid only $ 13, because it was out of the box, trinkets for my granddaughter and dog toys for their dogs. My husband also made pumpkin bread with CDB oil. My husband taped the boxes, which he insisted. I Click & Shipped from USPS and had a pickup scheduled, because it is hard for me to drive, plus I have a Paraylzed dog. The boxes smelled really strong, so I ask my husband what the smell was and he said that he threw in some Rosemary he was grew outside. I did not realize that he put what it amounts to 2 joints in each box and it did not smell of marijuana, it was the stupid Rosemary that smelled. Both my husband and I have Medical Marijuana Licences. I was wondering why the packages were not leaving the Post Office and I could not find any tracking info, so I called to see what was happening and I was told the packages were being held by the Postal Inspector for narcotics. I was so upset, and was about to go down to our local postal office, when my husband told me what he did. Needless to say, I was so angry and scared to death, since I would get in trouble, because I set up the pick up and payment. I called and ask the person who answered the phone, to just ask a question and she said wait, because Andrew Delahunt just walked in. I told him exactly what happened and he told me the worst case scenario. Then he told me it would be a $ 1,000 retainer. This was all the money we had period. He made it sound like I was really in trouble, so I faxed him all my info and debit card info. He was so helpful when I called, but then they did absolutely nothing, but told me not to have everyone accept the packages, which we figured we would do anyway. I even spoke to MARGOLIN and ask him some questions and at one point he told me he did not have a crystal ball. I felt so foolish for spending all our money. They never called, unless I called. A total of maybe 4 times, and the post office sent out my kids package and destroyed the other one, because it went to the postal inspector and they sent me a letter stating I had 30 days to pick up the package which was about 3 or more hours away from us. For a total of $ 10 including what was in it, they can just destroy it. They did nothing at the MARGOLIN Law offices except answer a few questions which di not even help me. MARGOLIN finally called me back after I sent a email asking for part of my money to be refunded, but he did not address the email, plus when he did call me back, I was I my way to my Doctor’s appointment and our connection was bad, but I was able to tell him about what the last letter said from the USPS. I could not understand him, because of the connection. Do not jump right away and pay a Attorney especially not this law group. Now all my husband and I do is fight over his stupid mistake and my stupid rush to send money to a attorney to tell me what I already did. I was just scared, because I never break the law. I feel like a complete fool, and now I am more depressed than I was before. The money was part of what Social Security owed my husband, which he still has not got, and my check, which is only $ 800 a month. Please, do not do the same thing we did. It is not worth it. As I told my Husband, mailing anything no matter how small is illegal. We did not have to pay a attorney for this advice, especially through a government office. Now my husband and I are not speaking, because of the idiot thing he did and my stupid rush to send $ 1,000 to a attorney who did nothing.

I cannot reconcile the negative reviews I read here with my recent experience with Bruce Margolin and his staff. Mr. Margolin rescued my son after 6 months of being passed among Public Defenders as the District Attorney continued to mount felony charges and refuse any plea negotiations. Owing to Mr. Margoliln’s efforts, the outcome was better than we dared hope for, and just as important, Mr. Margolin was at my son’s side every step of the way. He showed us genuine compassion and support throughout this anguishing experience. My son feels he owes his life and his freedom to Mr. Margolin and I am profoundly grateful for his representation.

I was refered to bruce margolin by a friend. At first they seemed to really have my back, but then reality set in. Their investigator didn’t do anything for me except charge a whole lot. Bruce’s associate told my mother he thought I deserved to go to prison, said he believed I was guilty. Then proceeded to get me a BAD deal. I needed a lawyer so bad I was willing to borrow the money necessary to get a «real lawyer», I got bruce. Huge mistake! Lawyers in general prey upon those at their weakest moments, but this firm not only took all my money, they told my mother they thought I was guilty and deserved to go to prison. If they didn’t believe in me they should have given me my money back and let me get the defense I REALLY NEEDED! I will never forgive you bruce. never.

They took our money, and led us to believe they would help us, and boy were we wrong. Our case was handled by an «associate» of Bruce’s, name Michael. He was very hard to get a hold of, and told us completely false information regarding our case. I have to be careful what I post on here, because I do not want to get sued, so I am making sure to stick to the facts. The fact is, they did not do anything to benefit me or my case, and I literally could have just plead out, and received the same outcome, that I paid thousands of dollars to them for. They said I had a good shot at winning and got me to give them the deposit, and then, they decided my case wasn’t important enough to spend time trying to win. I know of one of friend of mine, that this happened to, and we felt we needed to warn anyone considering using this firm, to think twice. My case was not related to Medical Marijuana, which might be why they sucked, but if that was the case, they should have told me from the start they were not good attorney’s, and I could have saved my money. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING BESIDES MEDICAL MARIJUANA. Period.
