I visited Victoria’s Jewelry today to purchase two wedding bands because they are near my office and had some good reviews on Unilocal. When I arrived, there were only two customers in the store, but the staff completely ignored me for over 20 minutes. They very casually chatted and laughed with the ‘regulars’ while making zero effort to acknowledge me, say hello or even make eye contact. I would have been more than happy to wait 20 minutes to be helped if I had at least been greeted, but being completely ignored is very off-putting and rude. I finally asked a gentleman who was repairing a watch for some help and he grumbled that he only fixes watches. I ended up just leaving after a while of trying to make eye contact with the staff. The jeweler across the street(Hueners) was was super friendly more than happy to help. It only takes a few seconds to greet a patron that enters your establishment and let them know they will be helped soon. This small gesture would have kept me in the store.

Highly recommend the owner of the jewelry part of the business, his name is Kolya(Nikolai). He is a trustworthy specialist with good taste in jewelry. I know him more than 27 years, we all prefer to drive far but to ask Kolya ‘s advice and ask him to do the work. Would like you to know that Watches is the separate business, does not belong to Kolya. Kolya you and your work and service are the very best! More than 5 stars!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Victoria’s Jewelry is definitely the best jewelry store in LA. If you want old-world craftsmanship at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. Kolya made a custom engagement ring for me. I did not really know what I wanted when I walked into the store. He showed me a few rings and I told him that I liked one of them but wanted several modifications. I wasn’t quite sure what I would be getting, but had a good feeling about it based on what I had heard about Kolya. What I got far exceeded my expectations. Everyone who has seen the ring has been enthralled. In addition to being thrilled with my gorgeous ring, I was impressed by how hard Kolya and his staff worked. I ordered the ring in late November, right before the holidays. This was a very busy time, but Kolya and his staff worked tirelessly in order to get the ring done before my engagement party. I am so grateful that I found this place!

Victorias Jewelry is best and Kolya is the best jeweler EVER!!! 5 of 5 stars! I’ve been coming here for several years after a referral from a friend. I’ve had custom jewelry made for me here and I got my wedding set here too after researching 1000 rings(no kidding). I wanted something unique and different and I walked into this store after driving all over LA and BOOM there is was! Kolya is an amazing old world european craftsman who can handcraft unique designs and fix fragile vintage jewlery as well including an old gold Byzantine ring of mine with beaded gold bezels that no one else in Los Angeles would touch. The staff is sweet and helpful. His prices are reasonable, he is honest, his merchandise is high quality and if he cant fix it or get it for you than it cant be done. His jewlery is elegant and a mix of vintage and contemporay designs. They do insurance appraisials too. The watchmaker is an real and true old school craftsman who is excellent and can fix delicate vintage watches too. He is a genius so leave him alone and let him do his work and dont hover over him or bother him. He straightforward and simple, he can either fix it or not with one look. Remember parts for really old watches are hard to get. Mine are Gruen, Hamilton and Swiss Longines. Be patient. I LOVETHISPLACE!

I have to say another great experience with this store! I have been going here for years and so has my family. This place has low prices and high quality. The time before last that I was here I had the jeweler re-make my Chrome Hearts pendant that would not fit on my David Yurman large box chain. He remade the part of the pendant that attaches to necklace in such a way that even the Chrome Hearts store was impressed and could not tell the difference until they put the same pendant side by side. He followed the design exactly as it was before just made the opening much larger and copied the original part exactly just in larger proportion. The last time I was there they polished out my Rolex to brand new condition. This plac piecese has nice jewelery as well and has made some nicem pieces for my family members. Highly recommended!

went in to get the band shortened on my new watch — a relatively simple process. the«old man» started banging away at it with a hammer. although he did shorten it, he didn’t size it correctly and it’s still way too loose on my arm. he scratched the band as well, then made me pay $ 15 for the service that took all of two minutes. go somewhere else for watch repair.

heard about this place from my mother — it’s an out of the way family-owned little shop next to Whole Foods, and I decided to go there to price wedding bands with my Fiancée’ Knowles ;-) they had a very nice selection, though not what i was looking for. i described the ring that i had in mind, and Kolya(the owner, i believe) said it was no problem — he could order it and have it for me in a matter of days… and at a price that rivaled online blowouts where you never know what you are going to get. it was easy. my fiancée had a bit of a different situation. she wanted a gold band made from a very specific kind of Russian rose gold, which Kolya was able to procure. he made her a simple, stunning band that i am going to love seeing her wear for the rest of my life. she was so happy with her band — and the price! — that she bought another eternity band on the spot. overall: nice selection,(and they can get anything), great prices, and great service. highly recommended. from what i saw, they specialize in Russian and European-style jewelry, but have something for almost any taste.

That«old man» that yelled at the other customer is a watch genius. I brought in my $ 300 watch thinking the battery died but he replaced it right in front of me and said it’s not the battery I will need to take it apart and see if i can make it work. $ 85 for repair. He showed me all the gadgets and told me I should have taken my watch in for a regular maintenance like a car. He fixed it and was very kind to me. It took several days which was fine, turned out it was all rusted inside. Any other place would have probably told me it’s dead, go buy a new watch. But this one was a gift and he fixed it no problem. I like his expertise and devotion to watches. I Highly recommend him, just don’t offer him any assistance lol. Europeans have a hard exterior, sorry.

If I could get negative stars I would! DONOTGOHERE! I went in for a watch battery and the old man working there was having a difficult time with my watch so i tried to offer assistance… Well he completely screams at me! Mind you I’m a young girl alone… THEN he charged me $ 15 for the battery and said cash only. I told him I had cc or $ 10 cash so he yelled at me again and said«get me my money and give me your watch»!! I wanted to cry … he was actually the cherry on top of a long bad day at work. He made me go to the liquor store and get him $ 5 more… I actually paid $ 18 for a battery because the ATM charged me. A$$hole! I will NEVER go there again.
