Lessings

I recently attended a friend’s wedding that was catered by Lessing’s. I had the chance to meet many of the staff and every one of them was professional and took care of any questions I had. The staff was run by Steve Melita. A good business guy with a dedication to his job. Steve ensured all the food was coordinated and delivered with perfect timing. When I needed a taxi and they were not available, Steve took care of making sure i made it to the train station. Lessing’s did a great job and provided perfect service.

Went here for my cousin’s wedding. The place was hard to find considering it was inside an actual college campus. View was great, the lawn leads you up to a riverside and it was pretty awesome but windy. Can’t recall everything I ate, but reception food and hors d’oeurves was very very good. Hard to keep track considering everyone’s rushing to get food. This is the third wedding i’ve ever gone to and everytime you fill up always before the main course. This is strange considering I made a point to not have so much prior to the main course. You get a couple of choices for the dinner and the staff was super pushy in wanting to clear your table. It sucks to get a corner table because the wait staff kept tripping over me the entire night and the wait staff couldn’t hear a thing I was saying. They overcooked my filet mignon and the cake was so-so…more loaded with sugar than anything else. But it was a wedding and those are always fun!

I booked Lessings for my wedding and it was the best decision. We were married at the Vanderbilt Mansion at Dowling College. The food was superb, the staff were friendly and very attentive and my coordinator Jen was patient and sweet. I must have emailed and called her a billion times. They gave me my fairy tale wedding!
