Cardinal Lanes

This bowling alley is a great place to spend a rainy afternoon with the family. We were greeted by the owner Helen with a friendly smile and immediately
set us up for an exciting game of bowling. After the game was done, the kids really enjoyed playing at the arcade games and earned enough tickets to get some nice prizes. The place is very clean and safe. Highly recommend it!

Came across Cardinal Lanes while spending some time in West Jefferson, NC for New Years Eve. When first entering there are a large amount of arcade games and a jukebox. The games all appeared to be in good shape and nearby there were also a few pool tables. We went to the rental desk and paid 14 $ for two people to play two games and two shoe rentals. The shoes had seen much better days but the nice employees behind the counter did have disinfectant spray at hand. There was only one other group on New Year’s Eve day bowling but we still had a lot of fun and got to be in control of the jukebox.
We did have a few issues with our lane as with most bowling places, and the employees were so kind and fast to fix any problems as well as reset the computers for us.
My husband ordered some Mild Chicken Wings which were made to order and decent, and everyone in our group enjoyed a beverage or two.
Attached to the bowling alley is a bar called «Helen’s,» and later that evening they were preparing for a large NYE party with live music, including champagne toast, appetizers and a dance floor.
West Jefferson isn’t overflowing with family activities, but Cardinal Lanes is a good outlet for some afternoon fun.
