Bobby Lawrence karate school teaches kids, teens and adults ages 4 and up. In our martial arts school we teach valuable life skills that help all ages focus on their individual goals they have. We focus with kids that need their high energy channeled into a positive direction. We also help those kids that need a little extra boost with being more active. We have over 15 schools through out Utah including West Jordan and Riverton.

History

Established in 1996.

Bobby Lawrence Karate has been teaching Utah families for over 25 years. We have over 15 studios in Utah. The West Jordan location was started up by Jeff Vincent February 1996. We have been in the same location this whole time and continue to grow and teach life skills to kids, teens and adults.

Business Owner

Jeff Vincent, owner and head instructor, has been involved with Bobby Lawrence Karate since 1985. He started taking karate when he was 10 years old at the Sandy, UT location. His instructor at that time was Mr. Ruano. Jeff started teaching full time at the age of 16 then at age 21 he opened up his first BLK studio in West Jordan in 1996. In 2008, Jeff opened his second studio in Riverton. He has trained all of the instructors at both studios, and he says they are all great teachers and motivators who can identify with the needs of the students who vary in age and skill levels.

Jeff has been a strong devotee of the Lawrence method of karate and is always anxious to share his passion and skills with others. Jeff loves to teach because he believes there are many benefits to learning karate. His students learn the power of setting goals as well as life-​long skills such as respect, focus, discipline and confidence through participating in the positive and energetic classes.
